This plugin currently works perfectly well with the latest version of WordPress (5.5) and Genesis (3.3.3), but as of Genesis 3.2 this plugin is no longer necessary.
Genesis now has the ability to remove the page title built directly into core. When editing a page, click the Genesis icon in the top right and use the “Hide Title” checkbox in the right column (screenshot).
For more information, see this excellent blog post: https://www.wendycholbi.com/the-genesis-title-toggle-plugin-is-no-longer-necessary/
I am purposefully not updating the “Tested to” version on this plugin to prevent it from appearing in www.ads-software.com search results. Now that the functionality is built into Genesis, I recommend you use the core functionality rather than this plugin.

Hi Bill – Thanks for this plugin. I just upgraded to Genesis 3.0 (actually 3.0.3) and Genesis Sample 3.0.1 and received the following notification. I cannot see any error though. Do you know of any reason why your plugin won’t work with Genesis 3.0?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Rob

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Genesis Title Toggle.
First, visit your website (https://superguidedev.wpengine.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://superguidedev.wpengine.com/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2Fadmin.php%3Fpage%3Dwpengine-common) and check for any visible issues.

Thank you for supporting such an important plugin!
I am excited to use the Genesis Title Toggle, but it is not removing my page title on my home page. I just updated to Genesis 2.7.1 and am on WordPress 4.9.8. I am using the FoodiePro Theme purchased through StudioPress.
Gratefully,
Renee
]]>Hi,
The plugin is not activating anymore.
I get this message:
Sorry, you can’t activate unless you have installed Genesis
I installed Genesis framework version 2.6.1 and Genesis Sample theme version 2.6.0.
The php version running is 7.2.1
Can you please help?
]]>Dear Support,
I am currently auditing my site and checking 3rd party compliance to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect in May 2018.
Since I am using your plugin, I have a couple of questions regarding this topic:
– Is Genesis Title Toggle setting cookies with personal information from visitors (like IP-address)?
– Is Genesis Title Toggle collecting, storing and/or sending personal information from visitors (IP-address, etc.) locally and/or externally?
In case that you are storing/sending and/or processing visitors’ information:
– Are the IP addresses only stored anonymously, i.e. without the last octet?
– What are you doing with the stored information?
– Do you share the data with 3rd parties? If yes, have you concluded appropriate contracts with the subcontractors that commit the subcontractors equally to data protection?
– When will the user data stored by you (in particular cookies) be deleted?
– Do you offer opt-out options for users (if yes, how are they implemented)?
– Can you provide us with a Data Processing Agreement including technical and organisational protection measures as well as an overview of the subcontractual relationships for signature?
In case you operate in the US and you are storing/sending and/or processing visitors’ information:
– Do you offer legally recognised guarantees for the level of data protection (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses or Privacy Shield)?
Thanks in advance for your replay!
Best regards
Jose
It works beautifully for pages, but I’m trying to have the same for posts.
The code wasn’t working for me (albeit I’m a bit thick when it comes to coding).
Any idea where should I put it (I’m running magazine pro)?
]]>I needed to delete and reload my WordPress files due to hacking. Upon doing so, the Genesis Title Toggle plugin is not working. Before reloading it was. I’m using the Business Pro child theme.

I reverted to version 1.7.1 and it works.

]]>I have Foodie Pro from Genesis as a theme (wordpress version 4.6.1) – and when I try to use Genesis Title Toggle it doesn’t work. I can check or uncheck the ‘show page title’ and it doesn’t make a difference – the title still shows. I have the same issue with similar plugins (Exclude from Navigation, Exclude Pages, etc.). I am wondering if there is some coding, a plugin or something else that could be preventing these plugins from working? Appreciate any insight you might have. Thanks!
]]>I would like to hide the page name for my landing page (“Home”). I installed this plugin, went to “edit pages / Home”, put a check mark in “Hide Title”, and updated the page. Yet when on my landing page, Chrome still shows “Home – website name” on the tab. And Google Search still shows “Home – website name” (although presume may need to give Google some time to update). Any ideas in how to get this to work?
My install:
Wordpress 4.6.1

Genesis Version: 2.3.1
Thank you very much.

]]>I’m using the Genesis Sample theme and titles are still showing.
I’m also using OptimizePress plugin. Is there a conflict between these plugins?
Can’t test it cause I’ve build many pages with the OptimizePress site builder.
Anyways the titles are still showing on normal pages built in WordPress.. Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Further, she wants the featured image to be of the book opened, which is a 2:1 ratio. What can I set custom dimensions for the featured image crop on the book page? Thanks in advance for your help!
