I run Cobalt’s Dynamik-Gen theme on over a dozen websites and had been using Dynamik’s “Remove All Page Titles” setting. Not sure why Dynamik was randomly showing the title on some pages. To remedy, all I had to do was open the page in Classic Editor and save it. The title would then disappear. But I got tired of doing that for dozens of pages.
With WordPress 6.x, Genesis Title Toggle is now working more reliably. I turned off Dynamik’s “Remove All Page Titles” option.
Hopefully, Erickson’s “Genesis Title Toggle” will keep working, despite it not having been updated in the last three major releases of WordPress. I’ll report back if it doesn’t!

I’m using Gutenberg. I see the HIDE TITLE checkbox on Pages, but not on Posts. Is there any way to use this plugin for Pages, Posts and Portfolio Items?

simple plugin for Genesis Framework that allows me to easily toggle page titles on and off

Works like a charm. There are global settings AND individual page settings. I’m using Genesis with Beaver Builder and it worked well.

The front page should explain that you cannot activate the plugin unless Genesis is installed. I am guessing Genesis is a template. The link to take you to Genesis is broken.

Simple and effective. Thanks.

Im not to sure on how coding works outside of html and css, but i feel like you should be able to make a plugin to this without having to install yet another thing on top of it, like their framework… uninstalled as soon as it asked me to use the framework. adding css code to hide it isnt isnt how i wanted to do it, but im going to instead of this plugin.

Thank you!

As soon as I noticed who developed this plugin didn’t care about the amount of downloads or stars, I knew it would work and be awesome with no problems
Thanks Bill for another great piece of work, still think people should have to pay for these plugins to, dont like this free everything stuff

I looked on all of the tabs and saw no indication that the Genesis Framework is required for this plugin. Until now I’d never heard of that framework.
I didn’t know it was required until I tried to install the plugin on a site and got a message that the Genesis Framework is required.
I strongly recommend this requirement be prominently displayed to prevent other people from doing the same thing.

Great plugin, thank you so much!
Everything works without title loading problems that I know from other plugins that try to hide title.

This simple plugin does exactly what I needed it to do. Hide the title on selected pages on my Genesis Framework Child themes. Thanks Bill.

This plugin saves me from having to write CSS on a page by page basis, when I don’t want the title. The CSS wouldn’t be hard but this is more convenient.
But… it does seem silly to have a plugin that only does this one thing. There’s another Genesis plugin that does this and a bunch of other things, but it does so many things I’m worried it’s going to break something on my site. I will continue to use both plugins… just not at the same time.

This plugin does what it says and has never caused any issues on the 10 or more sites I’ve used it on! Thanks Bill!

That moment you login to a client site and see:
(no title) (no title) (no title) (no title) (no title)
Thanks for solving this problem!

Great plugin! I use it on every Genesis site that I build.
Some commenters have noted on this page that this particular plugin won’t work on ExpressionEngine, won’t work on Drupal, won’t work on non-Genesis WordPress themes, and it also won’t do your laundry for you. That’s true, unfortunately, on all counts.
However, if you install this plugin on your site, then set your coffeemaker to make some coffee, I think you’ll find that the plugin does nothing to hinder that process. It practically makes coffee for you (just like magic!!!) and it’s guaranteed never to mix your lights with your darks.
Incredible work.

Very useful plugin, to toggle the visibility of post titles in Genesis Framework child themes.
No, it doesn’t work with other themes; it doesn’t claim to, and doesn’t aim to. Other themes aren’t coded the same way as Genesis – they effectively hard-code the post heading in a template file, so removing it takes considerable effort, if it indeed possible with a plugin.
It also doesn’t work with Drupal, ExpressionEngine, or my washing machine. In fact, it does a lousy job of getting my clothes clean or vacuuming up the dirt from my carpets after an all night Vicar’s and Tarts party involving members of the local clergy and a well-rated brothel. I can’t decide whether “it sucks” is an appropriate description or not.
For the purposes of this review though, it toggles the titles for Genesis themes. It does no more, and no less.

This plugin is really useful for those who use the Genesis Framework.
Congratulations and thanks for your work.

I had been trying to get rid of the title for an hour… so glad there is a plugin for that. I should have checked before I wasted all that time!

This plugin makes life a little easier by allowing you to remove post/page titles by simply checking a box in the page’s settings.

Great simple plugin. The only thing I’d add would be the ability to select different post types without messing with code. Maybe I’ll fork it ??
FYI for anyone looking to add different post types, see this piece of example code: https://gist.github.com/billerickson/7251246

This is a must have plugin. There are many times when a title is not needed on a page or post. This is just the best way to go – merely check a box and save.

I often need this plugin for various projects and it is an easy & perfect solution for a tiny little “problem”. Does one thing and one thing right. Keep up the good work! ??

Works perfect each and every time. Easy peasy.
