Hi! Is any update planned? It’s not working anymore in v.5.8.x
]]>I was adding a woo-commerce store to my website and then I notice my header image was not loading on any of my pages. I deactivated all woo-commerce plugins and still no header images. my WordPress theme runs on Genesis.
I have already updated my WordPress to the recent update (5.7)
(If I am posting in the wrong forum, if it’s possible to locate me to another forum on where I can get my question answered, thank you!)
]]>Hey there! Thanks so much for creating this incredibly useful plugin.
I’d hate to see this plugin fade away from the repo — is there any way you can update the plugin to let users know it still works just fine with the latest WP version?
Thanks in advance!
]]>This is a lifesaver plugin, I have kept it in my essential Genesis toolkit for years. I just used it again yesterday on a WordPress 5.4.2 version site – and once again proved to be the right tool for the job. But I’m concerned that you haven’t updated it in a little while, and Wordfence alerts me that this plugin is a moderate urgency vulnerability… But I’m still using it – but after I use it now, I deactivate and uninstall again. I am really hoping you will be able to keep this excellent tool alive into the future. Thank you so much for providing it to the WordPress community.
]]>Hi,
The plugin is not activating anymore.
I get this message:
Sorry, you can’t activate unless you have installed Genesis
I installed Genesis framework version 2.6.1 and Genesis Sample theme version 2.6.0.
The php version running is 7.2.1
Can you please help?
]]>Any chance of changing the permissions to only display the toolbar menu item for the administrator?
]]>Can you please add a way to disable the ‘Genesis Visual Hook Guide is currently active’ notice? For example, in the development environment…
]]>OLD:
Once installed this plugin adds a drop down menu to the admin bar to select between three views (Hook, Filter, and Markup). Select an option or all three to see the hooks in their actual locations on your current theme.
NEW:
Once installed this plugin adds a drop down menu to the admin bar, ON THE LIVE SITE (not backend) to select between three views (Hook, Filter, and Markup). Select an option or all three to see the hooks in their actual locations on your current theme.
I see no drop dowm. Ne nice if your “screenshots” showed it.
]]>After upgrading to 1.0.0 (on two different sites so far) I get the following:
The plugin genesis-visual-hook-guide/g-hooks.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi and congrats on the update, such a handy plugin – and so nice to have it all up to date now, thankyou =)
There’s an interesting notification though, which has just popped up. It’s undismissable.
“Genesis Visual Hook Guide is currently active. If this is a Weavingion site, remember to deactivate after use.”
I’m not sure but quite likely it’s popped up due to the word ‘weaving’ being part of my domain name?
If you could give me a snippit to shut it down I’d appreciate it =)
Thanks!
]]>KnowTheCode is recommending this plugin but it hasn’t been updated in two years. Have you given it up? Thank you.
]]>Why has the Genesis Visual Hook Guide not been tested with WordPress since version 4.1.13? Is there a different plugin that has replaced it?
]]>Hi,
I’ve made a simple edit to the plugin code, to optionally show the functions that are currently registered for action hooks. I’ve found this reduces the amount of time spent searching the codebase in my text editor, modifying hooked functions, when modifying a 3rd party child theme.
Here’s some sample output with the filter active.
Found your repo; I’ll submit a PR for it.

I’m currently building a theme using the Genesis framework, so I’m pulling genesis through my child theme. I thought that should be enough to ‘activate’ genesis. Am I incorrect, or is it a compatibility issue with the new version of WP?

]]>Just noticed my subscribers are able to see the hook guide in the admin menu when they’re logged in! Here’s the fix in case you want to implement:
open /genesis-visual-hook-guide/g-hooks.php
on line 33, change to:
if ( !is_admin() }
It’s just missing the exclamation mark. Love the plugin. Thanks!

]]>Hi,
I’m wondering if I’m running another plugin that might be disrupting my GVHG from showing up on my admin bar?
I have reactivated twice and I’ve used the url suffix “kickers” (?g_markup=show, etc) to no avail. I am hosting on Godaddy high-end WP hosting and the site is currently staged but I’m not sure either of these things are relevant.
Kinda puzzled. Any ideas?
