This widget was very useful when I was looking for a way to use Featured Page that included a background image. The widget lets you choose the image you want, whether a Featured Image or one of your own choosing. The widget author was also very responsive when I ran into some issues with using the widget.

This is a great way to implement fixed image full-width backgrounds. If you are using a front_page.php template just add some widget areas without the .wrap class outside of the site container. This plug in adds a wrap class for you.

Couple of admin form fixes needed but nothing that would affect the functionality.
