I’ve been using the plugin for many years, with no problems. I recently wanted to customize it a bit, and the support was quick, courteous and professional.

It took me a while to find a good plugin for my travel website.
And Geomashup was working pretty well, until I installed the polylang plugin to translate my website.
Since then, it creates a conflict with the taxinomy, I had take off the categories and I can’t sort my articles out by colors anymore.
Which lose all the interest.
Let me know if you find any solution, otherwise I’ll have to change plugin I guess.

This is a very flexible plugin to include maps into a wordpress blog. It allows for all sort of customizations, while already “out of the box” providing some very flexible features ??

Does exactly what I wanted – individual maps, category maps, and a universal map!

Truly marvelous! It does what it says, plain and simple, only someone’s imagination is the limit for what it can be done!
Kind regards,

Did not know before about this plugin. Child game to customize it, literally.
With little template/CSS override achieved more than on all other Gmap plugins I used.
Dont know why post Gmap editor accept adresses in some less know countries, but after saving they wanish. Some bigger countries in EU works well. Have to check later what is it all about.

Hello, I am French, sorry for approximate English. Thank you for this very good plugin.
I try to associate with the article in himself a marker of his/her own and then called back on the card(map). However I do not manage to change the marker by default the application.
Can you help me?
Thank you.
Cordially

I’ve been using Geo Mashup for awhile but only recently started a full integration of it’s features into our news website.
Overall the depth of feature coverage is amazing. There are many options to explore and opportunities to tailor the output to my needs. The author seems very interactive with plugin users and helpful on the forums which is priceless.
I am also very glad to see a long term plugin with a community development focus, we need projects like this that we can depend on long term. Thank you Dylan!

I used this plugin in the late WordPress 2.7 – 3.0 era of WordPress without fail. It was a great plugin that did it’s job well.
But today I tried the plugin on a WordPress multi-site install and using the default theme Twenty Twelve. The Global map and short code worked just fine. But the single map view on a post never showed up.
I tried De-activating all the other plugins and going to the slightly newer Twenty Thirteen theme and same result.
I read through the documentation and could never find a what is anything I was going wrong if I needed to add anything to my theme to get the map to show up on the single post.
The API set up was somewhat confusing as well because other plugins have suggested you don’t need an API for v3. Yet your plugin still asks for one. When I put my API code it. Google disabled the function as it wasn’t a proper API key.
This was the point I gave up on this plugin that for me had a good track record and went looking elsewhere.

I highly recommend it.
Happy user for over 8years.

I have a site with user profiles, but not using BuddyPress because BuddyPress couldn’t give me what I needed, even in the latest version. So I’m using custom post types for user profiles, and another plugin to allow users to register and create their own CPT, or profile.
Works well. Next I needed a map to show these people, and also include search capabilities for site visitors. Looked at different options and decided on this one because of the minimal code and open-source feeling community it has.
I’m not an PHP guy, but simply a designer who knows enough PHP to use advanced custom fields, etc. I had this thing operational quickly with a search field, map styling, styled location listings, etc.
If you’re on the fence, definitely try this plugin. You’ll not regret it. I just sent a donation, and really appreciate Dylan’s work on this.

This is a flexible starting point for developers looking to extend WordPress as a CMS integrated with Google Maps API. It has some good options out of the box, but the beauty is how extensible this is. Works with custom post types and taxonomies easily and allows you to populate maps straight from WordPress while getting out of the way (if you want it to) and letting you dig into custom code with Mapstraction or native Google Maps API.
Awesome!

Works well from my experience. Extensible and well coded. Documentation could use a refresh and central location. Google code is kinda lame.
