Hi, so Im using the filter “current_author” for the gd-listings block on the user profiles and its working flawlessly, now I wanted to add a new Tab for reviews on the user profiles. However somehow the “current_author” does not work for the “recent review” block. I tried using “current_user” and that is working.

Mobile menu is not working for my site, I have put in a support request. I am not able to explore my site on mobile with geodirectory – not even sure where the mobile menu is located. If it’s primary then it’s not working for some reason. GD Homepage also does not show up right on mobile, i disabled it and made a post to direct people to the site so it’s easier

I am reaching out regarding some issues I’ve encountered while using the WP All Import and Export plugin, for which I hold a lifetime license. Unfortunately, I am unable to integrate WP All Import and Export with GeoDirectory as expected. Additionally, I am using the Porto theme, and when I install the GeoDirectory – Porto Theme Compatibility plugin, my site crashes completely.

Furthermore, I’ve noticed that there is no option to display related properties by category or location, which I was hoping to implement.

I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance with these matters.

I’m searching for a location in the city of Rio Grande, but it’s not showing up. However, it does show locations in Tolhuin and Ushuaia. All address and postal code information is correctly entered.

We are experiencing an issue with the display of business hours on our website. We are using GeoDirectory version 2.3.85, and we output the opening hours on the location page through a text field using the GD Field key (Business hours). However, two values remain in English instead of German, despite having verified the translation in Loco Translate.

The values in question are:

1. “Closed now” (displayed when the business is currently closed)
2. “Closed” (displayed on Sundays to indicate the business is not open on this day)

These terms appear in English, while the rest of the text is correctly translated into German. Unfortunately, I am unable to attach images to this support request, but I can describe the visual layout:

• “Closed now” is shown at the top next to the business hours.
• “Closed” is shown for Sunday to indicate the business is not open on that day.

Could you please assist us in ensuring these terms are also displayed in German?

When I go to the page i have designated as the Geodirectory Search page in the settings, it automatically adds the parameters to the end for geodireectory search:

Is that a function or default setting of Geodirectory? Or has that possibly been added manually somewhere in the backend? Is there no way to have the search & filter page just be https://www.sensationaltutors.co.uk/tutors/ without the parameter and have it function properly?

Reason I ask is it’s very slow loading, while the rest of the site is fine, and the host said that the URL parameters causes it not to be cached…..thoughts? Any other way to speed up the loading of the page? And similarly the spee of the filters being applied?

I am having issues with the rating system. Specifically, it seems impossible to translate the “time ago” format in user reviews. If necessary, I would be fine with changing the time format to a standard date instead.

By default, my location page for New York shows 23 listings in Long Island but when searching In: New York (City) with the radius set to 200 miles, I only get 1 listing and it is not even in Long Island, which is well within 200 miles of New York City. Can you give me some ideas why I am getting this discrepency? I have set the default search radius ro 200 miles.

Hello. The problem is the following – I add the GD MAP widget and save it on the page and the map loads endlessly, no matter what I do, no matter what settings I set. I install the plugin completely on pure WordPress and clean themes (you might say that the problem is in the theme, but no, I tried to install strictly on supported themes, the result is the same). Maybe I’m doing something wrong? But I really ran it with standard settings and without unnecessary additions, and I constantly encounter this problem.

When the plugin was installed, it created such as GD Archive, GD Archive Item, and so on. The problem is that these pages are published pages which also means anyone who knows the format can directly open it or even search engines can go through it.

I understand that these are templates that is used with widgets, but I do need them to be in PUBLISHED state?

Could you please advise me, I have 100 categories and subcategories, I would like to add a special price parameter to some categories as an attribute. The CPT addon would help, but creating 100 separate categories is a lot. Maybe there are options on how to add an attribute to a specific category or maybe there are other options I could look at. Perhaps there are examples of sites where this is implemented.

1 – Can I create a button to apply a customer’s WhatsApp number? How can I make it so that the customer only has to indicate the number, and the link with “https://wa.me/” is already created?

click on any location/barber, no data at all shows for any listing. I have made no customizations to base plugin. Would like to use this plugin, but need to show details on locations/barbers etc.

Hi, I’m using Geodirectory on a site that displays walking tours around the city, with the Places being points of interest on the trail. Each trail has a different colour, so all the markers for route A are blue, route B are all green etc. When new tours or places are added, the routes often get rejigged so they don’t get too long or have too many stops.

We’re currently using custom PNGs for the map markers, but this means I have to remake them every time a trail changes. For example, if a Place moves from route A to route B I have to redo the icon in green, so if 50 places are switching trails then it’s a lot of work to create all the new colours and reupload them. The PNGs also don’t look great at certain resolutions so I’d rather use an SVG so it’s scaleable.

Using the Font Awesome icons means I can just change the colour and the map pin will recolour itself, except we are using custom icons that don’t have Font Awesome equivalents.

Is there a way I can use a custom SVG as the map pin? Looking through the plugin code maybe there’s a way of hooking in extra items to the geodir_font_awesome_array function?

we think of using geodirectory as a job board plugin with the new job board theme. the applicants should have to apply just via embedded form.

1. we hang some hours now into the test environment with the job board theme, but we couldnt figure out what would be the best way (or the only way?!) to have the applicants who applied via form displayed in the employers dashboard under the right job with all data the applicant sent with?
   the employer should also be able to manage the applicants there (mark as checked/called/whatever, delete, send mail, whatever…)
   
   yes, we noticed that we can use a custom ninjaforms form as contact form (=apply form) and then display the ninjaform submissions in the user (=employer) account. but thats just the pure data without any functions.

vice versa: in the same way the user should see his applications (sure only when logged in) in his dashboard.

is geodirectory made for this? are there any plugins that can do this?

I am going on testing your great plugin.
I just have a problem with gd detail title.
I use Divi Editor to rebuild gd detail page and it has worked fine.
But suddenly the title didn’t show anymore, and it show “%%title%%” instead…
I tried divi module text with [gd_post_title tag=”h1″ font_size_class=”h1″] but no difference.

Any idea ?
