Shortcode is getting dispalyed in the html mode as well when we trying to see with debugger on particular country or vpn it’s not getting displayed since 15 days , below is the debugger ?geot_debug=UA“….
Please provide support urgently.
Dear Damian
How would we create a geo-targeting Pop-up using your plugin and in particular a Gutenberg-based pop-up?
From the documentation, I can’t see how these would be created.
Many thanks for clarifying.

Hello,
I have redirect rule like this https://domain.com/en/{{requested_path}}. It is working fine for pages and taxonomy pages. But for custom post type archive, the slug is not getting translated.
For example,
domain.com/en/products redirect to domain.con/products (DE) or domain.com/pl/products (PL).
Instead of domain.con/produkte (DE) or /pl/produkty/
I have premium version of the plugin
I cant explain why its not working properly.
I cannot see the information wrapped with the shortcode for my country. What I see is the information I wrapped for the excluded countries.
When I add the debug /?geot_debug= in the URL, the whole place is blank. But when I add debug code for other countries, I see their specific information.
There is no cache plugin or server cache.
Any ideas?
Hi I’ve been using the plugin successfully since 2019. However, at some point in the past several months it stopped working. I’ve now had a chance to trouble shoot and can report that no matter what I try it does not seem to work. If you are traffic from Europe you should be seeing our European home page (but it is not). Same goes with the UK. Bizzarely, if I screen for U.S. traffic the site does deliver the U.S. home page. Even for traffic coming from Canada or the UK. Basically things are broken. No changes have been made on my end. The one thing is that I see there is a “FIX” plugin that is installed now on the site. Must have been auto loaded. I wish I could provide better idea of what is going wrong. Is there anything I can do to help trouble shoot this?
The plugin is working good, I use simple country code output to give the price in their country. Though I don’t need currency exchange etc simply average price for few countries and rest of them in USD so this plug is useful.
The only thing is that on setting page its saying:
There has been a critical error on this website (wp-admin/admin.php?page=geot-settings) . Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
So what is that, i have not received any email and why this message. Though there is nothing much earlier in your setting page except there was option to switch off debug button which I did, after that this message appearing.
How do I add this to my header.php?
So it would be likee:
Beautiful Day Sir,
If you go here— https://www.laviye.com/ —– and go to the cart, You will see a Pop up like this—- https://prnt.sc/CGW0pI_6dexN
— telling you about your country, and what payment options are available for you.
Now I believe you plugin will used Maxming to achieve the Gelocation. Can you extend this plugin to Provide a Popup as shown above?
How can we achieve something like that in WordPress using WooCommerce and your plugin?
Regards.
Hi, I really enjoy the simplicity of the plugin.
Could you please let me know how can I display the visitors country with a shortcode?
For example: If a visitor is from Canada I want to create a heading via shortcode that says ‘Hello, we operate in Canada!’. What would be the shortcode which can include all countries possible?
Thank you so much for the support!

Hi, I’m performing the IP test with my IP from AX (Aland Islands), the IP is correct but the Country is wrong.
Country: United States of America
Country code: US
Same using the shortcode, text will only appear when I set country to US. I’m not using any cache.

We are using the following shortcode to display a message / Facebook login button:
<?php echo do_shortcode(‘[TheChamp-Login title=”Only visible to European users
when connected with Facebook”]’) ?>
Ideally we would like to display this message / login button only to European countries. i.e. no display to any countries in Asia, the Americas, Australasia, etc.
How can we “nest” your shortcode around the message/login shortcode to achieve this?
Please advise.
Hello ??
I have a website which is created like the following:
The website is in the languages danish, english and german. They’re NOT made through translation-plugins.
When you switch language then the site names are:
.com (danish)
.com/en (english)
.com/de (german)
Right now you have to switch languages manually.
With your plugin, will I be able to redirect people to the .com/de site if their IP adresss is in germany? Is there a function to do that?
Best regards
Sara

Hi,
I can see a geot_maxmind_cron cronjob in the dashboard of my webhoster. That job gets executed monthly. But the GeoLite2-Country.mmdb file in wp-content/uploads/geot_plugin doesn’t get updated.
Am I looking at the right file?
Do I need to do anything else to update it automatically?
I can’t find any errors in my error.log. Where would I find a message if anything goes wrong during the update?
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for the great plugin.
Can you tell when you are planning plugin update which supports wordpress 5.6. As current plugin version has stopped working for latest wordpress update.
It broke my site, if you can provide an plugin update it will be great. Otherwise I will have to look for other options.
Thanks
Aman
I used this shortcode, but it’s not outputting visitor city
I had the geo MaxMind added plugin installed. When I had some problems, I deleted both plugins, but now I can’t find the max mind plugin anywhere,
I am wondering if it’s still in use? If so, where can I get it to install?
Hey, I’m trying to display a button based on a user’s location, but the plugin doesn’t work.
When I set the debug parameter it works perfectly. But when I visit the site, the content is not showing as it should.
Can you advise?
Currently I’m running the default Elementor button, because I can’t have disfunctioning website element. But I’ll try any possible solution.

Hi!
Is it possible to use this plugin with Elementor widgets?
For example: a title, image, whole block or even half a page.
Hi,
As Maxmind does not allow to include the database with external plugins, some questions now:
1. how and when is the database refreshed?
2. in which folder is the database stored?
I want to be sure that this plugin is using up-to-date information and not some old Maxmind database that I have from 2019 in my uploads folder.
Thanks,
Didier.
The plugin is loading a bunch of files where the shortcode is not used.
This is horrible for SEO and site speed. Please make it load only where the shortcode is used.

Hi @timersys
Thanks for this plugin, it has been very helpful but recently it has stopped working on our website.
Tried deactivating / reactivating (including deleting the “wp-content/uploads/geot_plugin” folder) and deleting cache at my end. But the problem still persists.
Page URL: https://opdlift.com/internal-testing-pricing/
What I should be seeing in India:
https://opdlift.com/internal-testing-pricing/?geot_debug=IN
Please help!
Thanks,
Deepak
I added some country shortcodes on 2 websites. Exact same codes. On one of the sites, it stopped working.
I have disabled W3 cache on that page, yet it’s not working.
The place the geotargeted information is supposed to appear is just blank,
When I add the debug code to the end of the URL /?geot_debug=ZA – I see the information. But ordinarily, as a normal URL, it doesn’t show up. It was working before now.
Here is a picture of where the information is supposed to appear (I added the debug code to the URL, that’s why it’s visible on the image

I am looking for a button I can either create directly or build with WPBakery Go Button
