Thank you for all the users over the years of this plugin but I have decided that this plugin has no future and so all support has been withdrawn.
The plugin will be removed from the plugin repository in the near future.
Hi support,
I am using a form so visitors can put two locations and they will see the best route. And with the form submission, a screenshot of that map with selected route will be submitted.
Can this plugin do this?
Thanks
The plugin works fine in most respects except that when you put in an address to get step-by-step directions, the text of the steps is white on a white background, totally unreadable. Is there any way to perhaps edit the shortcode to specify text color, or is there some setting in Mapquest developer profile that can be changed to correct this?

]]>Hello,
I need your support for something.
I have installed this app, and I have inserted in one my post this shortcode: [get-directions latlng=”40.748021,-73.98512″ controls=”false”]
That is precisely what I saw in the instructions of the plugin. Unfortunately – it does not work. It shows an empty white field. I got the API, from the page of the plugin with registrations.
How can I fix this, shall I insert Google API key?
Is there a way to set the starting point within the shortcode – ideally as a postcode
]]>Hi
Can I show two pins and an option to go to two destinations? So I would press Geolocation and it would show me , then in the “To” field I can choose between two locations which are shown with pins on the map.
2. Also – does the geolocation only work with the Pro version
3. Is there anHTML equivalent I can use instead of the shortcode as Im trying to use it in a FORM which only has an HTML entry
]]>The Query Monitor plugin reports “Missing Dependencies” from source “wp-content/plugins/get-directions/frontend/js/frontend.js” with dependencies “jquery, mapquest-maps-js (missing)”. The directions seem to work just fine, but I thought I should report the error. The error is noted on all pages of the site, not just the one where the plugin is used.
]]>I’m evaluating the plugin, very nice.
I have a problem: I can not see the arrows next to the navigation instructions. WP 5 and 2.11 release of get-direction plugin.
Thanks ??

]]>Hey, need some help. When I’m using simple shortcode like [get-directions latlng=”54.190279, 16.223752″] it all works fine, but when I’m trying to define height [get-directions latlng=”54.190279, 16.223752″ showroute=“false” height=”300 px”], map does not appear anymore. Thanks!

]]>After a few years of little attention, version 2.0 of this plugin has been released.
This is complete rewrite using the current MapQuest API libraries.
There now is a pro version too, which will ensure long term support.
]]>MapQuest changed the limits on their API key, so now if you don’t have your own, you may find the default key used with this plugin results in no map as all calls have been used.
You can get your own free key (15,000 calls a month) here
https://developer.mapquest.com/plan_purchase/free/business_edition/business_edition_free
and add it to your wp-config.php file like (thats not a real key)
define ( ‘MAPQUEST_API_KEY’, ‘PM0FA0Ihhhhqa26TqgT3Xsdz6pRkiFRuxA’);
Sorry that I’m no longer supporting / improving this plugin, but hope this helps any current users.
]]>Hii
Can i use this in my post with shortcode? if so what is the shortcode?
or only as a widget in sidebars
best regards
Andreas
]]>When I first installed this plugin a few weeks ago it worked great. Suddenly the map doesn’t appear. I updated jQuery and checked my settings, but can’t seem to make it appear. The url is: https://new.treefrogtrees.com/contact/directions/. The map image at the top is static, but under it should be your plugin map. The string I use for the shortcode is:
[get-directions latlong=’45.001102,-122.741957′ radius=’12MI’ height=’300px’ width=’300px’ zoom=’10’ controls=’smallzoom’ rotitle=’Tree Frog Nursery’]
Thank you.
]]>Hi,
first of all thanks for the plugin.
Would be nice to allow users to add the location manually, because the location is not always accurate (e.g. when using desktop.
Thanks!
]]>Hi, the directions feature is really good but it does’nt look very stylish. Can the directions text and print button be hidden until the visitor clicks ‘show directions’?
]]>Hi,
I’ve been trying to change the language of the directions but I can’t get it to work.
They appear in English now but I need them in Dutch.
I tried changing the url “maps.google.com” to “maps.google.nl” or “maps.google.com?language=nl-nl” but I can’t get it to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
]]>Hello,
I just downloaded this plugin today, and I tried using it but it seems like the directions don’t want to show up on my in-progress website. The space where the directions would go is there, and the print button is visible, but the actual directions are not shown. The webpage that I’m using this on is https://yamanetestsite.elementfx.com/contact/
]]>there is too much padding in between map and directions, want to change to 10px. also would like to print just the map not the whole page.
THANKS
Hi!
I absolutely LOVE this plugin. Thank you so much!
I wanted to see if there was a way to input the route type… for example, pedestrian, bicycle, public transit. Please let me know. Thanks again!
]]>Dear Author,
First of I’d like to thank you for this cool plugin!
It is easy to install, configure and use.
Back on topic;
Is there a way to translate the directions? Like translation files?
If not, will there ever be?
Secondly, currently, the plugin gets your location from a built-in GPS module on your PC, right? Is there a way to disable this and make a field to enter an adress?
Cheers!
]]>Hello, i used your plugin!
The shortcode i call in the page is [get-directions latlong=’40.636427,22.948022′] but when i press the button “Allow” so that the browser will give my address to the plugin, the error “Location information is unavailable” pops up. This happens in Chrome. When i view the same page in Firefox, no error pops up and no directions are shown.
Can you please help me find out what’s wrong?
Thanks in advance!
