Hello ,

]]>Hello,
I’ve been working with Get Me Cooking for a while and I have had sporadic issues with the print recipe button. It seems to only effect chrome and Safari. I have deactivated all plugins and the issue still persists on Chrome. I am running a child theme of Customizr.

Since last wordpress update, I cant seem to get the save recipe button to work. The safe draft works fine, but not the save recipe so I cant publish. I have tried it in several browsers

Notice: Undefined variable: gmc_language in /home3/lifewjg5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/getmecooking-recipe-template/recipe-template-functions.php on line 3030
I reviewed this line in the php and it is referring to:
if ($gmc_language == 'de_DE')
Without touching anything, it now appears in every recipe under one of the ingredients, in the list.
Any fix available?

]]>Hi, I have a blog https://DOROTA.iN with over 1000 recipes and am working on reformatting them to have GMC Premium visible. For each post where the videorecipe is included, I have a custom field named “ytmovie” where an URL linking to YouTube is saved.
My question is if it is possible to modify GMC recipe shortcode so it could automatically get this URL from each custom field in a post I reformat and what I should type to make it work.
Regards,
Dorota

]]>Hi,
I changed the theme in an old blog and there seems to be a conflict with this lovely plugin. When active, It brakes up the page builder structure in the backend/admin area. Default template pages seem ok. It is just the Content Builder template that comes with the theme that brakes up.
Any advice on how could get this incompatibility resolved..?
Many kind thanks.

]]>Hi Paul,
sorry for bother you again but I’m trying to merge the functions that I need for the site that I’m building with the functions of your plugin (…that at the moment it’s my first choice).
In the actual blog usually we wrote some intro text before the recipe. Sometimes it’s just a description, sometimes some story about how the recipe was born or just a description on when and with whom we cooked it. If you want to see an example: https://blog.golosamenteintollerante.net/noccioletti-e-confettura-al-cucchiaio/
Now that we are starting a professional service in the world of pastry I would like to have the blog integrated with the institutional website and at the same time I would like that the recipes have more information (such as nutritional values??, allergens, etc.) with the support of metadata that significantly improve the SEO aspect.
I’ll tell you this just to let you know how we managed to date the recipes and what we would do in the future ??
It’s clear to me that with the pro version of the plugin I can manage recipes that have each categories with a link to the list of recipes on that specific category. The functionality to link the ingredients, that’s already in the roadmap, it’s also very interesting.
I also saw that I can include the recipe in a blog post and also this is interesting and could solve my problem of an introductory text. What it’s not clear to me is how to share two things.
I try to explain better: if I post a recipe “Cake X” and then I create a post with the introductory text, first of all, in fact I duplicate a part of the same content… which will have two permalink: one with recipe only and one with the introduction .
If I then post another recipe “Cake Y” which has the same category of “Cake X” , when a user clicks on the category will also find “Cake Y” , but clicking on it will open the permalink of the recipe alone… in fact losing the introduction.
In addition, I risk to having redundant categories between posts and recipes.
I wonder how do the two things… I realize that probably a lot of this kind of behavior is fine and certainly do not want to impose my needs. But I wonder, might make sense to put the ability to insert an introductory text (and perhaps also one at the bottom of the recipe) so that I can insert arbitrary text before the recipe?
I know there is the “notes” field and I can also move it at the beginning, but that’s a very convenient field for notes on the recipe and it makes sense that is located at the end.
The ideal for me would be :
1 . Introductory text
2 . Recipe box exactly as it’s now
3 . Completion text
I would like to know what you think, and possibly what other users of this plugin think about this.
I hope I was able to express myself properly, my English is not so good ??
Thanks again for the great work you do! I also appreciate the rapidity with which very responsive on the support forum , it’s really frustrating when I see plugin abandoned by the authors…

Fabio

]]>Sorry for the flood of questions ??
Is it possible to show the recipes as if they are blog posts? I mean to have in archive both recipe and text post togheter, have the recipe and blog posts in the latest post widget ordered by date, etc.
I’ve seen that I can create a blog post and include the shortcode of the recipe, but it’s awkward cause I need to create a new post each time…
It’s not clear to me if it’s a premium feature or not.
Thanks

first of all compliments for the plugin! I’ve tried a lot of recipe plugin and this is one of the best and I think that will use this for my blog.
I want to ask one questions just to understand which are the plan for the feature on the next release.
One of the good feature of others plugin is to click an ingredient and show all the recipe that use the same ingredient. I think that’s very good! Plus it’s very useful to write just some chars and have the ingredient autocompleted (if already present in db obviously :-))
There are plan for adding this?
Thanks

]]>Hi. I am having a very hard time transferring my recipes from 1 theme to another. I have tried several times to transfer the recipes. I keep getting the same message for all the posts/recipes – see example of one message: Failed to import “Brazilian Cheese Bread”: Invalid post type gmc_recipe.
I am in the process of rebuilding my site and there are over 100 recipes to transfer. I have tried the tools tab (import/export) – does not work, keep getting same messages for all recipes posts. The name of my site is https://www.gemsliving.com.
The new theme already has a built in plugin. It does not matter if I download the getmecooking plugin or not, I still can’t transfer my recipes, ingredients and steps. I even ask my web concierge at my hosting company for help, no one can figure out how to properly transfer them. I cannot copy and paste over 100 recipes to the new site. Please let me know as soon as possible how to transfer the recipes to the new site. I am on a deadline to get the new site up and running. Thank you.

]]>Hello,
Whenever I enter a recipe, the ingredients seem to save over themselves. For example, if I forget an ingredient, I will add it, save draft, and it will only save the one ingredient I entered. It only seems to save correctly if I enter everything with one save. I’m not sure if this is also a problem with recipe steps.
I am working in the latest update of Chrome. Unfortunately, I cannot currently check if this problem persists in safari because my server is apparently “under attack” and they have redirected all wordpress logins to an error message. So I cannot log out where I am logged in or vice versa. This problem started before my server issues, though. All programs, plugins, etc are updated. Thank you!
