I installed the plugin to use embedded mode however when I go to search for images I get no results, I even tried updating WordPress to the latest version 5.8.2

We had high hopes for this plugin but sadly it seems unmaintained and riddled with bugs. Due to some invalid code, we couldn’t even properly authenticate without editing the plugin code (pro-tip: textarea
is not a self-closing tag). Then once authenticated, the plugin wouldn’t download images — it just froze after pressing the button.
It would be great to see Getty reinvest in this plugin and modernize it. Until they do, you’re on your own.

I want to add multiple Getty images to a slider and display in my website. But this plugin doesn’t have that feature.

Not only did the plug-in not work (nothing happened when clicking Getty next to Media), but it also stopped Media from working. I had to delete the app before I could get to Media to select any of my own images.
I did manage to insert the Getty image I wanted by manually inserting the embed code into the post text view.

We use the Getty Embeds but recently they have stopped aligning. I wondered if this was because we were long overdue a WordPress and plugin update – but even after that, they will not align at all.
As a result we have to resort to full or 75% images which have no alignment and so looks a little bland with a lot of whitespace now.
This has been an issue for a while now.

… on Mac with Firefox, Safari, Chrome. (On Safarai you cannot even log in to your getty account.) When logged-in with getty images account, chosen image can not be posted. As not logged in user posted images will have the getty sign on it plus “embed by getty”. This little piece of software seems to be hacked together quick&dirty. Deinstalled.

No featured image support. Add it, and my review goes from ONE star to FIVE STARS!

The plugin works fine. However, we cannot use it to insert a photo at post’s feature image and this doesn’t allow me to use it. That’s why I don’t give a 5 star rate.
I have a newspaper website with MH Themes Magazine template. This template, as many others, uses feature image as post image. All news must have a feature image or the site won’t be beautiful.

why bother creating this plugin unless you’re gonna support featured image…
]]>Rating: 5 stars
Almost all images used for blogs are at the top. The way most WordPress setups work, this is classified as the featured image. With this current plugin you cannot put an image in as “featured.”
This plugin absolutely needs this ability or it is 90% useless. If it had this ability it would be the best and most useful plugin that I have. Without it it’s mediocre at best and I may uninstall it after a few months.

This seems like a great find. I read that for non-members of Getty Images, there is still a M+ library of images available for use on a site. A great workaround if you are concerned about image copyrights. My suggestion is some further developing? I’d really love to see the embed/search/use function integrated into a widget? For instance, selecting a number of images from the available library, which will display in a widget and possibly rotate? Haven’t begun to use it yet, but I have a keen fascination with World War Two, and I searched this term and came up with 75,000 plus images to choose from!

This plugin works fine and it’s very useful. But it’s still missing fundamental features: width/height adjustment, alignment and options to align based on text position, featured image, open photos in a new tab and others.
Must be improved.

I tried to use the free embeddable Getty images. Whatever I search for, the plugin keeps searching endlessly but never finds one image.

have not been able to get it to work. and whats the deal with paying for images?
]]>Rating: 3 stars
You will need a Getty Images account before you can use this plugin. Images are licensed for 30 days trial only. Billing occurs when the 30 day usage allowance expires should an image continue to be used.
I can see how this plugin can be useful for bloggers with money to spend on images. I would say most bloggers would find this plugin unhelpful.
3 Stars because Getty Image customers will enjoy the way this plugin works. Integrates well with the WordPress media manager. Finding and inserting images is a breeze.
Only 3 Stars because many bloggers will find this plugin unusable due to the image licensing restrictions.

Does this plugin work with new embed-Getty-images feature?
It would be very helpful if the plugin allowed these to work as featured-images, by bypassing the download requirement (somehow), and overlaying the text/link on the image-embed itself…?
Also, are the Getty-embedded-images iframes responsive (resizing automatically for different sized screens) yet?
FWIW, some valid concerns, work-arounds, and alternatives described here: https://www.poststat.us/getty-images-now-free-embed/

This plug-in works fine, but we didn’t understand what happens after the 30days trial period. Can we use images from gallery?

This is my completely impartial review of this plugin:
It’s awesome!
Getty Images users finally have a quick path to try, compare and download high-quality images from the vast Getty Images library right into their WordPress blogs, and this plugin makes the whole experience seamless!
Great job, Getty Images.
