It’s hard to believe this is not WordPress core functionality. What a simple plugin that does what it says on the tin. Well done!
It’ll be absolutely perfect if we could customize the icons for each custom type too, instead of the bullet point circle. This will make it consistent with the rest of WP setup with custom menus.

Very handy plugin and a great way to extend a very basic dashboard widget that WP core displays by default.

Works great (as advertised!), and makes life easier for those who must maintain multiple custom post types. Easy method for visually seeing all pending and posted. Great support as well!

Works as advertised. My favorite part is being able to customize what shows up, including Custom Post Types I create myself.

This is a simple, effective plugin for showing custom post types (of your choice) on the At a Glance part of your dashboard. You could write some code to do it, but why bother when this already exists?
(I am having trouble dismissing that little review nag bar, though…)

Big “thank you” to the author for the efforts so far.

Must have!
This is what you need, having CPTs.

Incredibly simple but useful tool. Essential for every project!
Support is absolutely incredible. I made 2 (see below) suggestions, which the plugin author picked up and implemented straight away.
Would highly recommend.
I would only recommend adding the following additional functionality:

Simple + Easy = thank you!

A real essential plugin for WordPress installations with custom post types and/or editing structures with moderating postings.

Simply a great tool. Thanks!

Thanks, you saved me time! I have my own plugin that adds the post types to At a Glance but I have been adding the Dashicons in the CSS. I decided to add some UI to change them but figured I’d better look to see if someone had already done this and found your plugin. But you went beyond what I would have done by adding the status counts. Thanks again.

Thank you UaMV.
I was dreaming of something to keep track of my long list of custom post types.
Finally a real content dashboard for CPT!

I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time, and was using a finicky home-grown solution.
Works as expected!
Hidden feature (thanks @uamv):
Set defaults in your theme with
function PREFIX_set_default_glances( $glances, $user_id ) {
unset( $glances['post'] );
unset( $glances['comment'] );
$glances['products'] = array( 'icon' => 'f174', 'sorted' => 5 );
$glances['solutions'] = array( 'icon' => 'f507', 'sorted' => 6 );
$glances['markets'] = array( 'icon' => 'f238', 'sorted' => 7 );
$glances['press-releases'] = array( 'icon' => 'f157', 'sorted' => 8 );
return $glances;
}
add_filter( 'gt_default_glances', 'PREFIX_set_default_glances', 10, 2 );

This plugin is great! It concisely displays a lot of information, and makes the Dashboard much more useful.

Works as advertised. Adds that subtle detail that makes the back end easier to use for end users.
However, the plugin needs to get updated with the new dashicons that are available at: https://melchoyce.github.io/dashicons/
