I purchased this plugin back in 2017 and use it on various sites. Though, I’ve not touched it recently, I went to add images and see it’s no longer available for download or support. What gives? WordPress advises “guideline violations”! Huh? The gallery worked for me perfectly but seems to have some of it’s features now restricted on my old sites. Anyone have any details?

Not all the images selected for a gallery category are showing. If I add photos to a new category, the last addition will no longer show.

The gallery is not live unless you are logged in so I can’t show you.

Great plugin, almost perfect for me except I cannot turn off lightbox. I tried: lightbox=”no” in the shortcode but it still is there on all the images.

I have set up categories for my media files.

When trying to categorise my photos, some categories do not register. I add a check mark next to a category and click update. But when I go to ‘media > media categories’ screen, that category still has a count of 0.

If I view the photo again, the check mark is still showing the image has been categorised.

Please help!

If there are no matching tags from the shortcode, currently ALL images are displayed. Is it possible to have no images displayed when no pictures are found?

I have photographs which are tagged with peoples names, their names also make up the slug and page title. Is it possible to select images to include in a gallery based on the page title?

Something like:

[go_gallery tags=[post_title] size=’large’ gap=0 border_size=0 menu_show=0]

I’mu using that css on child theme style:

Hi, I’m using elementor and lightbox is preinstalled with it. But photo on lightbox open differently from the standard elementor widget. The share button go over the screen and each photo is separated from the other and description is not show. Instead in standard widget all images are loaded, so there’s a slideshow with navigation arrow and description is loaded under the photo.
How can i solve it?

It’s possible to display also title and description on lightbox when it open a photo?

I have a problem when I want to assign a category to an image.
The moment I click on one of the category’s he is adding this category to the WP category’s.
Right now I use a plugin for the categories with the name: Media Library Categories (Jeffrey-WP) together with Go Gallery.

i’m not sure if this is possible but I have my media categories set up in hierarchies ie:
Cat One
Cat1.1
Cat 1.1a
Cat 1.1b
Cat1.2
Cat1.3
…..
Cat Two
….
Cat Three
Are there shortcodes that will:
Only show the top level categories (Cats One, Two, Three etc) when clicked then:
Only show the first level of child Cats (Cats 1.1, 1.2, 1.3) when clicked then:
Show the remainder of child Cats (1.1a, 1.1b) etc
I know I could set this all up manually but it would be nice to do it using just a shortcode.

There is no load more button. Am I using the wrong shortcode?

Didn’t really like Qt LightBox or how it is used.
An option to disable lightbox and use the theme lightbox or another lightbox would be great.
WP Featherlight is a nice one.

I have multiple galleries on one page, and due to the content of one gallery it would look nicer without the title overlaid on the thumbnail. I can’t use a blanket CSS rule because I need to keep titles on the other galleries. Is there just some variable within the shortcode?

For some reason my gallery is collapsed until I click on a filter.

Then it will open up to all images. I can not figure out why!

I cleared cache, logged in/out and nothing.
I can add categories on the Media category page, but I cant sort in images library or add categories to the images

Hello, I’m using your plugin on a customer website and am trying to achieve the following:

Customer images need to be organized in the following structure:
1. Categories (Albums) containing multiple galleries.
2. Each gallery containing multiple images and/or videos.
3. Each category (Album) page to show the galleries sorted randomly on user load.
4. Each gallery to display image/video in lightbox with description over/on the side of the image.
5. The description in lightbox to be able to contain link(s).
6. The lightbox to contain a slider carousel of all other images/videos in the gallery below the focus image/video.

7. Each category (Album) and gallery to have a thumbnail with its title displayed and mouse hover effect where a short description appears.

8. Ideally, another mouse hover effect will be to display as ‘a slideshow animated gif’ the contents of the category (Album) or gallery when the user moves their cursor above the thumbnail.

Can you please confirm if these features are possible with the Pro version of the Go Gallery?

First of all thanks a lot for making this plugin. Its what I allways wanted. Simple and easy to manage with the categories.

I′d love to buy the Pro version but the plugin will not show the grid correctly no matter what I do with the short code.

Just messed up something. I deactivated all other plugins, embedded via page builder and without, tried it in a post and on a page. no luck at all.

Also loding the images into the lightbox takes forever. No matter how big the images are and Even with SuperCache its not better.

Mobile responsibility looks nice on the demo but for me also no luck.
I just copy pasted the shortcode from your website but my GoGallery looks totally different.

A shame because the Idea is great and I want like it.

Maybe you can help me out with my problems.

Sometimes when I open the gallery, there’s either zero images, or only a handful of the total.

The image distance is 30px (horizontal direction) and I want the same distance in vertical direction.

When I click on a gallery image the lightbox opens.
Right beneath the large image it shows a row of thumbnails of all the other images in the gallery.

Problem 1: The thumbnails do not respect the currently set filter.

Problem 2:

If you inspect the HTML elements of the thumbnails in the lightbox you will see that the images are displayed in thumbnail size but the src of the image is the original size image. So in my case when I open the lightbox for the first time it loads megabytes of data because it tries to load all of the original size images for the thumbnail display.

I’m using version 1.0 of gogallery and on your demo site I don’t see this feature of thumbnail display in the lightbox at all.

How can I disable this thumbnail display in the lightbox?

Need To remove All Tab and make it default, if images increases page become large to bottom

I am using the go_gallery plugin on my website to show a few pictures. As I see the the plugin sorts the images by the date of last modification (or better: I’m guessing that).

Is there a chance to control the sorting of the images?
