I was able to get the plugin to work, however it exhibited unpredictable behavior. After adding several images, it would tend to “forget” the older images. If I were to edit and re-save the forgotten images, they would re-appear. However, other older images would disappear.
It seems this doesn’t happen to everyone, but it’s what happened to me, and the bottom line is I cannot use the plugin. So, I uninstalled it and will be trying others.

I’m so happy I found your plugin! So simple, exactly what I needed!

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! (almost) PERFECT! Lightweight, simple to use and understand, no stupid ‘features’ and works with the existing WordPress media manager.
If I could add 1 thing, I would make it so you can close the lightbox by clicking in the background, not just the “X” button, but THAT’S IT. Seriously. I wish I found this plugin 3 hours ago!

I like the plugin, it’s simple once you get used to the shortcodes, lightweight and it works with the original media borwser and enhances it wit catagories. Works fine for me!

Great plugin, but a paging option would be nice, but might be difficult to implement.
If limit is set, it does leave empty categories ?????

Great simple idea for cleanly showing a gallery with categories assigned to images. All the other plugins seem to use projects or portfolio as the category, not just images, so good job guys.
However, it’s missing a couple things before it is fully usable (as of this post):
– No title or alt image on the overlay image
– Option to close the overlay by clicking the background div, not just close button
– Clicking a filter link does not show it as the active filter
– shouldn’t force the overlay color to 40% opacity
Would be awesome to assign a category to multiple images at a time.
Looks like this plugin might just fill a niche other’s aren’t in yet…as far as I have seen.

I love the idea of media files having categories. Great for many of my projects. How ever the implmentation is not explained well.
I get it is a short code, but there is no definitive list of the properties that can be used with it. You shouldn’t have to just try and glean them all from examples. How do you control caption display for example? Add some real documentation and this is a winner.
