I was told that this will not work for WordPress 4.3.1, will it work?
]]>Dear Developer,
thanks for this great plugin.
I followed your guidelines 1-1 but without success.
I’m getting a 404 in case of accessing the new /admin slug.
Is there any workaround/additional information to watch out for?
Thanks.
This plugin is working fine for me.
But when I activate or deactivate any plugin it shows some error.
]]>Hi Sarankumar,
Thank you for developing this great plugin. I believe that a lot of people are looking for this solution. I followed the steps and rechecked if everything is set correctly with your screenshots. Unfortunately this is what happens at the moment.
When I want to access admin dashboard it redirects to
/wp-login
my credentials get accepted and I get redirected to
/admin-panel
(short moment of happiness) and then redirects back to
/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mywebsite.com%2Fadmin-panel%2F&reauth=1
If I comment out the new redirect rule in the .htaccess file wp-admin and admin-panel are both end up as Page not found!
Any help is greatly appreciated. I really would like to use the plugin and let more people know about it if it works.
Thank you so much!
]]>hi
just want to let you know great plugin BUT:
there seem to be a problem when using following plugin at same time:
“rename wp-login.php” plugin
(this plugin renames the wp-login slug)
when both plugins are activated, a logged in user will always get “error:you must be logged in to access admin panel”
logged in users are only able to navigate in Buddy press personal profile menus, once they want to edit their sites, they get error messages.
i need BOTH plugins because yours renames the admin-slug, and their plugin renames the wp-login slug .
maybe you check with them?
i will post them as well.
thank you, bye
beda
followed instructions, does not make any changes.
still wp-admin in the url.
thanks, beda
Thanks for trying but it broke the site I tested it on, not redirecting to new URL
needs more work.
]]>Hi, I followed the steps but I got the error message below :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”admin-panel\’);’ (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING), expecting identifier (T_STRING) in /home/XXXX/public_html/wp-config.php on line 117
