The support person Michelle was very helpful when my Exact Matrics didn’t work. She fixed what was wrong and was very easy to deal with. I am very pleased.

After asking you for permissions to see all your private data from your Google account, it shows a very simple control panel, and all the options you can try to see are all paid. You can’t do anything, it’s useless. Google Sales Kit is much better, all its options work and it is completely free.

I tried it for site stats instead of Jetpack but it does not work

This plugin that was simple and useful is now updating every 2 days, automatically and you don’t even know why. I join all of the other complains concerning the ads and I’m considering to change quickly for another that would more trustworthy and reliable.

This plugin used to be 5-stars. However it has been purchased by a for-profit company which very aggressively pushes for premium upgrades. There are much better alternatives available for free.
Check the other 1-star reviews (and suspiciously short/ambiguous 5-star reviews too).

Google Analytics used to be consistent and reliable but Exact Metrics usually shows a precipitous drop in sessions for the previous day which affects the 30-day average. By the next day that measurement has been adjusted to a more believable number, but only with the succeeding day now unrealistically low.
My site is non-commercial and educational, and all the EM promotion of its commerce-oriented features is wasted on me. Being non-commercial and non-profit, my site has no significant revenue and I cannot afford the “Pro” version of EM, although some of its functions might be useful.

I only use the plugin for getting a global picture of visitors of my site and for that purpose it’s a well documented plugin for getting insight in Google Analytics.

Title says it all, as do the 1000+ ratings, that are now dominantly 1-star across the board (even with a suspicious amount of very low effort 5-star ratings).
Here’s the deal: I’m happy to donate or pay for a plugin I find useful. I have done it numerous times to support the developer and unlock the features I needed.
I’m not happy to be bombarded with ads to “upgrade”. If I needed it, I would’ve done it without being nagged to do so already.
Some other reviews explain the story better, but what happened basically was that a for-profit company bought the original plugin and monetized the living hell out of it at the users’ expense.
There are other, better alternatives now as a result. Would not recommend. Credit is due where credit is due though, the UI is really nice. Like, really nice.

It’s sad to see a plugin that once filled a simple need become…whatever this is. Look elsewhere for Google Analytics code injection solutions.

I had used the old plugin forever.
Now suddenly with “ExactMetrics”, a simple plugin that worked perfectly to link sites to Google Analytics has become something messy, that requires me to “link” all sites to ExactMetrics… Arrgh.
As if it is not enough to have everything linked to Google, now suddenly your information has to be linked to a different company as well.
Plus, it has a constant bombardment to upgrade to the “Pro” version.
You guys do realize that you are “upselling” and wanting to charge people merely to replace something that is really only a tiny, tiny snippet of code that anyone, even the most non-technical person, can find on the Google Analytics site for simple cutting and pasting?
Making a business out of inserting that tiny, already free, snippet of code from Google is really merely preying on innocent WP site owners.
This plugin is immediately removed from all my sites.
No way am I linking myself and my sites to yet another company, trying to overcomplicate something already exceedingly simple, just to make a buck.
If ExactMetrics wanted to create a business out of pasting in that snippet, then start with a new plugin and try to sell your “services”.
Don’t overtake what WAS a nice plugin with a very simple purpose just to have a “free” door into WordPress sites through all the sites already using the original plugin.

This plugin does autoupdates even when “Auto-updates disabled” marked in the plugins list of WP and at the settings page the option “None – Manually update everything.” is selected.

I finally got rid of this plugin. It has the most transparently greedy marketing strategy. The free version gives you minimal data, less that the great and free Google SiteKit. Basically it is a shameless marketing tool to sell the pro version. Almost every link is useless if you don’t want to cough up money. Over and over you click and all you get are links to the purchase pro version. The dashboard panel is ridiculous. The giant ads below are larger than the data panel! Why would anyone give away so much valuable real-estate on their dashboard to a shameless advertiser? It is such a turnoff, i never even considered the pro version.

I use the Pro version for more than two years now without any problem, with support voor G4. Last week I had a problem and the support from Exact Metrix replied within a couple of hours. After some conversation it seems the problem was with Google not with EM. I would recommend EM, it does a very good job, so 5 stars from me ….

This plugin used to be good as it showed metrics right on the dashboards. I used to recommend this plugin to many clients. Now the dashboard is cluttered with 3 popups plus the original section promoting ads. They cannot be closed and pressing the X button causes another ad to appear. I will be reaching out to them and getting this removed ASAP.

I’m like many others. The previous version of this plugin was great, until it became Exact Metrics…. Then, my WP dashboard just gotten taken over by ads…. It’s like you have to play a “game” closing all the MULTIPLE pop-up dialogues for upgrading just to get normal work done on the site…. And while you’re working, MORE ads start appearing!….
I run a small, non-profit website…. I don’t need the “advanced” features being promoted…
PLEASE allow me to either turn the pop-ups off or create a “non-profit” version of the plugin or something.
Until then, this plugin remains DISABLED on my site….

I have been using ExactMetrics for over a year now. I compared two plugins during that time to determine which one would supply me with the information I needed. After the year I determined that ExactMetrics was the one for me and my business. I would highly recommend ExactMetrics for you and for your business. A huge thank you to the entrie ExactMetrics team. Keep up the great work!
