Sitemap is generated, but Google webmaster shows the message
“Failed to read sitemap file” when I try to add the sitemap
Hello,
I was pleased that there was an update after a long time.
But does it generate a critical error when I deactivate it?

it seems to be stuck on the the same number of posts as when it was first installed. the sitemap has not changed even though numerous new posts with images have been published.
