I’m getting this message at the top of my settings “Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/…./wp-content/plugins/google-importer/google-importer.php on line 351”

when I try to run an import I get:

“Something went wrong using wp_remote_get()

name lookup timed out

I have an api key, have the Google+ api switched on and am using https://plus.google.com/106098137236295012367/posts as my profile id –

any idea what is going wrong?

For reshared posts the included picture link of the original poster is broken:

“?sz=50” seems already be provided by the google activity api – double definition corrupted the link.

Thus I removed “?sz=24” from L160 of the plugin

I have one small problem which is especially annoying while initial import: The date is ignored ??

What I see from the source code is that it SHOULD be imported but all my imported posts are of current date.

Would be great, if someone could fix this?!

Access Not Configured

Make sure you’ve entered the correct API key, have the Google+ API turned on, and the correct numeric user ID.

I have confirmed that the G+ ID is correct as well as the Google API key and that the G+ API is turned on.

Any other clues as to what I am doing wrong?

Hi there, I noticed that I when I tried to add a YouTube video using Google+ Add video function (not the link), the post that gets imported does not include the video.

When I share an article on Google+ without comment, it appears on WordPress without title.

I think the code that does “If there’s no title get the name of anything attached” is not working.

I’d like to be able to link the comments link to the original Google+ post (even if it’s not possible to retrieve a count). Is this possible?

I have tried setting the tag in the plugin settings to “#wordpress” and separately as “wordpress”. I’m confused as to which one to use. In either case neither work. I wrote a post on G+ with “#wordpress” at the bottom and it will not appear in my WordPress blog.

And yes, without that setting set all of my other G+ posts have imported successfully without issue. I just really want the selective import.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I appreciate your plugin, so let me start with my thanks.

Unfortunately I am having an issue where anywhere between 3-10 duplicate posts are coming along for the ride. Is there a way to fix this? I am manually deleting on a daily basis but it’s a bit vexatious.

Great plugin – it works as advertised which is great ??

I’d like an option to control the number of posts imported. Say, when you use the plugin for the first time, you might want to import _all_ your G+ items in one go, all the way back to the earliest items. (Found a way to do this by changing the max_results variable in the file from 20 to 100 (which appears to be max) but an option would be nice in the options screen)

Other than this, the options the plugin asks for, are great and works very well ??

Would be nice too with an option to set the source URL of each post, so that a backlink to the original G+ item could be included in the post.

I’ve downloaded your plug in for WP (not running on 3.2.1 yet).
Simply your plug in does not offer any “settings” under the navigation PLUGINS. Whereas other plugin let me alter settings, your plugin doesn’t even offer the Link. do I look in the wrong place or do I need to upgrade to 3.2.1 first?

Both when i save the settings and trying to import from Google+ i get the error message “Something went wrong using wp_remote_get()”. Both the API key and Google+ ID is the correct ones and i tried to use the link the script uses to get data from google+ and it works manually in the webbrowser but not with the script.
