Simple & Easy & Useful Plugin

There are so many plugins that don’t perform and developers that leave users standing at a dead end. It’s been very refreshing and encouraging to have an attentive and solid developer. This plugin performs exactly as needed, doesn’t bog down my site and runs seamlessly in the background. Well done.

After installing and uninstalling Yoast 4x (with no success), I tried GA- Google Analytics. That plugin’s setting buttons wouldn’t work. I spent hours researching other plugins and decided to give this one a try based on the following: 1) despite what looks like several problems in the beginning, the developer kept at it and continued to fix the plugin, as indicated in his change log. 2) The developer followed up on every support question/complaint. That’s very rare and shows he cares.
Bottom line…I installed the plugin and bamm..it worked. First try and almost instantly connected to Google Analytics. Thank you for sticking with it. My only suggestion, seeing as how you spent so much time developing the plugin- take 5 more minutes and describe the settings in the faq. For example, if I don’t click on “add to footer” does it default to the header? Which do you recommend? If I un-click “add to footer” after I had already clicked it, does it change the placement of the script? What does “add domain” do? You’ve done the hard part- you’ve got a working plugin (as long as you’ve learned from the past and don’t try to add too many “extras” i.e. woo commerce ??
Thanks again for your hard work and creating a great plugin.

This is probably the best Google Analytics plugin available for free for WordPress users. Have tried others but this one beats them with a superior support. Great work!

This plugin overwrites functions.php in every theme. Together with a short database connection problem it results in empty functions.php und an empty site for the users.
Going to use another analytics plugin.

I’m happy to give you a five start but after removing GA plugin by Yoast to test your plugin, I have to say I’m a bit disappointed because I was hoping you would fix the save button issue in the past month.
Going back to Yoast.

We had installed this plug in on our site. The root URL is simply a *.*.com. The blog is at *.*.com/blog. Google Analytics is configured for the root domain, *.*.com. During a recent update to the plugin, the key line of the js snippet changed from:
ga(‘create’, ‘UA-XXXXXXX-X’, ‘x.x.com’);
to
ga(‘create’, ‘UA-XXXXXXX-X’, ‘x.x.com/blog’);
As a result, GA traffic seemed to drop almost to zero. Anyway, once we fixed the snippet of code ourselves and put it in the footer.php, everything went back to normal.
Also, even though there is an option to do a “custom,” the Save button never seemed to work.
I would look elsewhere.

I’m very sorry to say this plugin used to be a good plugin but now its so buggy. I can’t save the changes on settings page. SAVE CHANGES button doing nothing. Please update this valuable plugin. I will increase my rating after that. Thank you for developing nice plugin.

My host stopped offering site stats, so I signed up with Google Analytics and got this plug in for my wordpress blog stats. Took a little bit to start showing up on pages, but the data is coming in already after only about 4 hours. I love it when a plugin does exactly what it says it will do. Thanks guys.
