    Hello,

Please clarify the difference between Duration in “Options” and Access Conditions.

I need to set permisions to a given Level as follows:

Grant full ilimited forever access to all unrestricted content (except for private pages)and at the same time, Limit access to 30 days to a given content

I get confused betweeen Options Tab and Access Conditions tab.

If I set a member to have full access for ever to non restricted content from Options tab, but restrict him access to 30 day for a given content, do I need to individually set every condition for this member level to pages, blogs, feeds, etc from Access Conditions too, or is it not necessary?

If I set duration “30 days” under Options/Duration, does this mean that the person will have the unrestricted pages access denied too after those 30 days??

    Please clarify

Thank you very much in advance!

    Liliana

Apologies for the delayed response here.

The duration you set in the Options tab determines how long this level should be active for a given member. If you set it to 30 days and add a user, then after 30 days, the user will no longer have access to the content set in Access Conditions. They will still be able to see all unrestricted content.

In the Access Conditions tab you do need to setup what content/contexts that should be restricted. This could be a specific page, a post with a given category, etc.

    Hello again,

Following your indication, I have set up duration for 30 days.

As the courses are sold through Wooocommerce as Product/Virtual, this setting of 30 expiry is also set in Woocommerce as “Product – Virtual – Download expiration; 30 days-”
Because there are 14 different courses, I set up 14 roles with Members WP plugin.

Now, I am using Automator in order to integrate some actions after purchase. One of these actions is to assign the corresponding role according to the course being purchased.

Automator DOES assing the role, but I have doubts regarding expiry settings, so my question is will RUA expiry settings (these Duration Options) work if roles are assigned outside the plugin???
Doubt arises because I have currently now way to know if in cases of automations, RUA will stop working, if plugi will or will not be listened, and perhaps MembersWP will be listened instead.

    Please clarify

    Many thanks in advance
