I have forked this plugin on GitHub and made the necessary adjustments to get it working on the latest versions of WordPress and GravityForms.
https://github.com/angelleye/gravity-forms-braintree
We are waiting for WordPress to approve our repo here, and then it will be available as a separate plugin on the plugin directory. Shouldn’t be long.
We’ll be maintaining it separately from that point on.
]]>So obviously the promises to upgrade this plugin never came to pass.
I am currently sending questions to CaptainForm because they seem to work with Braintree, although not at the basic level.
I wonder why Braintree is so resistant to making things easy for wordpress users.
Oh well.

]]>Greetings,
I have been happily using this add on for a while.
I noticed that two people made payments today but they were not submitted to braintree at all.
I am using WordPress 4.3.1 and the 1.1.2 version of this addon.
I looked at the Braintree Settings in Gravity Form and it says:
“This add-on needs to be updated. Please contact the developer.”
So apparently this addon no longer works for some reason.
Any plans for an update?

Jon

]]>The transactions go through fine against Sandbox, but fail against production.
I don’t think it’s related to email receipts since I never setup the DNS Braintree requires so that’s not turned on.
One charge went through with a $0 total (I’ve emailed Braintree to ask about that), but all of my tests this morning have failed. I can’t imagine that the 4 credit cards I tried are all no good.
Any pointers or tips at what I should look at? Does Braintree even have a system log like Stripe does? I’ve never used Braintree before but their $50k of fee-free transactions was enticing.

]]>There seems to be something wrong with the plugin. It seems to work for a short while, then displays this error message on the front-end:
“Your card could not be billed. Please ensure the details you entered are correct and try again.”
I’m certain that the card details are correct. My client is also getting the same error using their card details.
The plugin was working correctly for a while, then stopped working. I completely uninstalled the plugin, deleted it, then re-installed it again – still didn’t work. I went into my client’s Braintree account and generated a new API key, then entered these details again within the plugin settings and set up the Braintree feed for each of our forms. This then worked again for a short while but has now reverted to the “card cannot be billed” error.

The problem was resolved as soon as I disabled the plugin.
This plugin really needs an update.
It is a shame that there isn’t a similar plugin as it does serve a really useful purpose for integrating braintree payments and gravity forms.

]]>Transactions looks like they process on the user end, but on the back end, no transaction ID is generated and they don’t end up in braintree. Went to double check the Braintree settings and saw that the option had disappeared under forms settings. Updated to Gravity Forms version 1.9.12.1 and tested; still no fix. This has happened once before where transactions suddenly stopped processing, (braintree settings somehow randomly erased) but I was able to go into settings to fix it. Not sure what to do now.

]]>Hello
I have just installed the plugin and I’m having trouble activating it.
I have tried both sandbox and production mode and have entered the required API credentials in the gravity/braintree settings, but when I put a ‘credit card’ field into my forms and view on the front end I get this message…
“This page is unsecured. Do not enter a real credit card number. Use this field only for testing purposes.”
Am I doing something wrong?
My website is also using woocommerce and braintree as a payment gateway so perhaps there is a plugin-conflict???
Any help would be greatly appreicated

]]>Hi Luke,
First of all, great plugin! It really is useful, however I have a similar problem to what some other people described.
For some reason, the plugin settings randomly disappear from the gravity forms options. The gravity form itself still works, and even accepts payment when this happens, but the plugin does not communicate with Braintree/the cc information is not submitted to them. As a result, no payment is processed.
It seems like it typically happens when any plugin is updated, although its somewhat inconsistent. While the plugin is great, this is a really major issue, because I’ve had to have a couple client submit payments twice, which obviously is less than ideal.
Any potential fixes to this in the works, and if so, will it be released anytime soon? Also, I saw you mentioned that recurring payments and custom field mapping would potentially be included in the next update….is that still the plan? It would be great if the plugin could send the billing address info to Braintree as well.
Thanks for all the hard work!
