The validation message is showing on my main contact form, but not on any of the others. I’m using the universal setting, so it should show on all forms.
]]>This is kind of a feature request. I was wondering if it would be possible that if the email address is parked spam that it doesn’t send any attached notifications? Could your plugin be added to the conditional logic settings in Notifications? I noticed the guys at GravityWiz have done this with their new email validator so I thought I would ask if you can do the same. Thank you for a great plugin.
]]>Hello,
I am using the GF Email Blacklist module with Gravity Forms on a WordPress site.
I have installed this module on several sites without any issues before. However, today, after installing the module on a new site, activating it, and navigating to Forms > Settings, the Email Blacklist tab does not appear.
When I go to the following page:
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_settings&subview=gf_email_blacklist, the page remains completely blank.
Here are some technical details:
Has anyone encountered this issue before?
Do you have any suggestions for resolving this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I was using your plugin on my websites up until today when I realized that I had not received ANY email submissions in the past three days since updating the plugin to v2.6.0. I have since deactivated the plugin until this issue can be resolved.
I had been using the “Universal” blacklist settings across all my forms and rejecting submissions based on specific domains and email addresses I had identified. It was working as expected up until the version update.
Today, I tried to submit a form using my own email address (which is not on the block list), and it was rejected as spam. I tried two other personal email addresses that are also not on the block list, and they were also rejected. At that point I deactivated the plugin.
I was able to verify that unblocked form entries are successfully submitting on v2.5.6 as I had not gotten around to updating the plugin on one of my websites. I was able to submit a test form using my email address that was being blocked on the other websites.
I was happy with your product until it started blocking all form requests. If an update can be provided that resolves this issue quickly I will consider reactivating.
I realize this plugin is for “Blacklist”, but is there a setting to send the submissions to Spam area in Gravity Forms entry page, if they match criteria? Rather than outright blocking the submission?
]]>For ONCE an AMAZING Plugin for Gravity Forms… LOVE IT – LOVE IT Works Great like it’s suppose to! The Global setting is wonderful I have like 30 forms on one web site so it’s really a Great Tool!
]]>We started using this add-on 2 months ago and we’ve noticed that some free emails like gmail and hotmail still get through the forms. I have also noticed that the entries are getting saved on Hubspot but are not on Gravity Forms entry list.

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: explode(): Argument #2 ($string) must be of type string, array given in /***/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-email-blacklist/includes/class-gfemailblacklist.php:259

Hey there! This is a very similar issue to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/blacklist-plugin-breaks-multipage-form/.
Like the user in the linked thread, my client’s form is a multipage form that breaks when the Email Blacklist plugin is used. Unlike the user in the linked thread, though, my client’s form has more than one email address: one on the first page, and one on the second page.
Here’s my email blacklist settings. As you can see, there is no blank space or extra comma: https://webpagefx.mangoapps.com/msc/MTM4NDcxMl8xMjA5NDcxNg
And here’s the stack trace: https://webpagefx.mangoapps.com/msc/MTM4NDcxM18xMjA5NDcyNA
Now, if you visit the form right now (https://www.ameriproroofing.com/ameripro-roofing-referrals/), you’ll notice the error doesn’t display. This is because I’ve added a quick fix to the plugin code on class-gfemailblacklist.php around line 257: https://webpagefx.mangoapps.com/msc/MTM4NDcxNF8xMjA5NDcyOQ
For whatever reason, when the second email field is checked against the blacklist, it’s already an array rather than a string, so explode() fails.
Since we have a quick fix, I’m not urgently in need of support – but if this issue could be fixed soon, that would be super.
Thank you!
]]>I setup a multipage form but whenever I start filling it out and click to go to the next page it skips to the page with the email field and says “Sorry, you have been identified as a spam bot and your email has been blocked.”
This happens before an email address has even been entered.
Disabling the blacklist plugin fixes the issue.
Currently upgraded WordPress to 6.3 and Gravity to 2.7.12 adn Email Blacklist no longer appears as option under Gravity Settings.
Any ideas?
]]>If Gravity forms is connected with HubSpot using the add-on Gravity Forms HubSpot Add-On (to post results from the website form into HubSpot) despite the user being shown a warning/error, the form still posts on the backend.
I had to completely disable Ajax for Gravity Forms to attempt to fix this.
add_filter('gform_form_args', 'no_ajax_on_all_forms', 10, 1);
function no_ajax_on_all_forms($args){
$args['ajax'] = false;
return $args;
}
Can this be taken care of in the plugin?
]]>This plugin works great for us in allowing a local blacklist. Looking at also incorporating an external api check of bad addresses through Tempmail or Reeoon. There is a code snippet for this kind of thing suggested by GF: https://docs.gravityforms.com/gform_field_validation/#h-11-email-validation-by-third-party-api Would you expect enabling that kind of thing to conflict with the plugin? I didn’t want to waste time and money implementing such a thing if it is obvious in advance that it won’t work. Thanks.
]]>We’re just checking to make sure all of our plugins are able to work properly on a server with PHP 8. Can you confirm?
]]>This is definitely not working. Form submission still possible with blacklisted adresses.
]]>When using a wildcard like *.xyz, the address [email protected] is blocked but [email protected] is not. We have noticed an increase in spam submissions using this type of email formatting and need a way to block them.
]]>If you define a custom Error Message, the string cannot be found by WPML String Translation. Why?
]]>Is there a way to prevent the form from sending the user to the top of the page when a form with a blacklisted email is submitted?
]]>First, as my wife always tells, me I’d like to start off with something nice. It’s great you have created this plugin for the forms. It is very helpful to block email addresses. It would be nice to include certain key words, too, if every possible. The more common ones that spammers use, etc.
But, here is my issue. When updating the blacklist email addresses or domains, invariably my eye goes to the LARGE burgundy button for UNINSTALL ADD-ON. (See what I did there? See how even caps draw yours to something?) To be frank, that is horrible design. I’ve been running and building sites for 30 years now. Not a good way to go. It should be a grayish button so when I’m working quickly I don’t accidently go to any “colored” or bright button instinctively as one does with SAVE or better yet PUBLISH. Please make the UPDATE SETTINGS button Red or Green or Blue. And change the UNINSTALL to something very muted or again Grey. Maybe even have a check box next to it. One those “are you sure” or “confirm” ones. Anything to prevent accidental uninstall.
]]>Hi,
I’ve added a plugin. But, it posted on the admin that it will not work. “Registration is disabled.”
Why? How corrected?
Thanks
Resolved : It s confilt with a other plugin.
]]>Hi there! I have specific emails and domains blocked using this plugin along with Google Captcha but it does not seem to work.
For example I have a domain blocked via: domain.com and an email blocked via [email protected] and listed in the plugin as follows
domain.com, [email protected]
Yet I am still receiving submissions from both emails. Am I doing something wrong here?
]]>Hello Support Team,
We need to need to block *.ru all domain, because multiple spams emails are coming from the *.ru domains.
As per plugin instruction, we have configured the setting for email blocking in the backend. But it’s not working as expected. Attached are the screen captures. Please check it and share your thoughts and solution for it.

]]>I have a paged gravity form and am running into issues. If the email field is required and this plugin is active, then the user can’t navigate past the first question without receiving the “required email” error. If I change the field to text field it works fine. If I deactivate this plugin, then it works fine as well.
]]>Hello,
Create a form with only 3 required fields to replicate this very annoying bug (it took me a while to figure out this plugin was the issue):
First field will be a Checkboxes field with 3 choices : “First choice”, “Second choice”, “Third choice”.
Second field will be an email field called “Email 1”.
Third field will be an email field called “Email 2”.
“The Email 2” field is conditional : field will only appear if “Second choice” or “third choice” are ticked.
Tick “first choice” only.
Enter any email in “Email 1”
Validate the form.
Error: the form wants you to fill in the second email field “Email 2” while it’s not displayed.
Tick “second choice”.
Enter any email in “Email 1” and “Email 2”
Now it works.
If you replace the 2sd email field by a text field, the conditional logic works and the form can be submited without entering anything in the “Email 2” field.
Bests,
]]>We have Gravity Forms Email Blacklist installed, however, when I go to a specific form, click on the advanced tab on the email field, I’m not seeing the option you have displayed on the screenshot.
]]>Hi, we keep getting loads of spam despite ReCaptcha implementation. They keep coming from different addresses but have the same name of the “person” sending them… This it would be great being able to block them by name.. by subject would also be a good option in some cases…
]]>Mod, feel free to delete this message. But this had me scratching my head for a while, and I thought this plugin was completely useless.
So it’s worth making this obvious I think, for dumbos like me, that this plugin only works on an “email” input field in gravity forms, not the standard text input field. Seems obvious, but I think a few people might get tripped up by this.
]]>Hi
thank you
