Since it appears that this plugin has been abandoned, I’d like to offer my services to adopt this plugin – if this is possible.
If you are the original developer, feel free to email me directly at [email protected]
I see many people are using this plugin and I’d simply like to keep it alive. ??
If anyone else would like to join me in this adoption, please let me know.

Related to https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/paging-thru-entries-in-detail-view-broken/
This bug is caused by not properly returning the form object when bailing out early in the add_user_option hook, as paging through entries excludes the “lid” parameter: https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/gravity-forms-list-field-select-drop-down/trunk/gravity-forms-list-field-drop-down.php#L183 & https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/gravity-forms-list-field-select-drop-down/trunk/gravity-forms-list-field-drop-down.php#L187
Please fix by changing both “return;” statements to “return $form;” in the aforementioned hook.

Basically what’s happening is that the first row is populated with the correct placeholder data, when you add a row some of the placeholder data is not displaying. Thank you very much in advance for your help. Great plugin.

Hey there!
So I have a nifty chain select thing is coming along, but I’ve hit a snag. Kinda Complicated, so bare with me… You can go to the following website to see what I mean:
https://goadrifttravel.com/00-test/
Currently, when I select an option in column 3:
LINK
It populates my code fine and inserts everything it needs to function:
LINK
HOWEVER, for some strange reason, when I then go to select the populated column:
LINK
ALL THE

‘S GET DELETED!?!?!
LINK
In the above picture you will see that the Select Options are all still there, but the

items have been removed. This is most likely from some Auto Updating from the List Select’s User Interface/Search.
I’d really like to keep the UI search, but it seems to be interfering… Soooo, any thoughts?
Hi,
Refer to the above link.
I use this plugin together with Gravity Forms List Field Calculations Add-On.
Previously, i was able to calculate and get the correct column sum for the 3rd column ‘Jumlah’.
But today, i don’t why now i’m getting wrong column sum. I already check everything is in order.
When user click ‘+’ to add another row, the total will automatically add another zero digit. For example, i put 100 in 3rd column in 1st row, after click +, the total will become 1000 ( before i key in value in 2nd row )
Kindly please help me on this problem.
Thank you very much.
I am getting mad about this bug.
My dropdown is working only on the first row. If I add some new rows I cannot select any options from dropdowns.
Any ideas?
Thank you for this plugin, it’s wonderful.
I use dropdowns in the list view and dynamically populate them to have the value of each option as a numerical value, and the text as text. I use the Value to access other posts and such within my site.
The population works fine. But when an option is selected the value is changed to the contents of the text field – which is less than ideal.
This seems to be something that is new with the latest update. Can this be resolved?

Hello,
This plugin is great — thank you!
I have having issues with the dynamic population. I eventually need the drop down in one column to populate with titles from a custom post type. I started with just the base filter code you provided and changed the form id, field id and column label to match what I’ve got. Nothing happened. Has anything changed that you know of that might have made this code no longer functional? My test code is below.
Wondering if you could also give advice on how to adapt this to pull in custom post types? Something along these lines: automatically populate a dropdown with post titles?
Thank you for your time!

$has_columns = is_array( $field->choices );
if ( $has_columns ) {
foreach ( $field->choices as $key => &$choice ) { // for each column
$isDropDown = rgar( $choice, 'isDropDown' );
$column = rgars( $field->choices, "{$key}/text" );
if ( $isDropDown && 'Select a Nonprofit' == $column ) {

Hi
I am trying to display a count of selected values in a dropdown column in a Gravity Forms List field. I am using Adrian Gordon’s List Field dropdown add-on for the drop downs and Richard Wawrzyniak’s Gravity Forms List Field Calculations Add-On which enables me to select the cells in a List field column.
I have tried using Erik van Beeks’s WP Count plugin to filter and display the selected values but can’t get it to work.
The column I am trying to count in the test form I have provided the link to is the Assurane Rating column. Has anyone done this successfully? I would appreciate any advice.
Kind regards

I see that previous versions had the ability to mass add options for the drop down field. Is there a chance of either getting that function back or getting my hands on the last version that did this?
I have close to 800 options I need for a single drop down and the current configuration would make that impossible unless I am missing something very obvious.
Currently, the {all_fields} tag in Gform notifications send all fields that are filled in and skips the empty or hidden fields.
The default list fields (basic and multi-column) do not send if empty.
Adding the dropdowns to the fields makes the notification see it as “Not empty” and sends the info in the notification.
The workaround is to select the “show values” option and set the first option to have a blank value. Which Gforms then sees as empty and does not send the fields in the notification.
Having placeholders like “Select {field_label}” or even custom placeholders would be nice. Especially when making large forms with a lot of list fields.
P.S. when you add a line on the front end, only the first drop-down gets populated, all others are blank until options are selected.
I have enabled enhanced user interface, which activated a search box.
When I search on a specific string, it only shows me results where the string is at the beginning and not when the string is part of a larger string.
Let me give you an example:
When I search for the word “filet”,
it would return:
– chicken filet
– filetchicken
but it would not return:
– chickenfilet
Hope you understand what I mean, it is not looking for strings inside strings, it only looks at the beginning of a string. Is this something I can enable?
Hi Ovan,
can you tell me if it is possible to add Values to the list dynamically populated dropdowns of a list field?
I have used your code: gform_pre_render and I can load the form with options but how can I add a value to each option?

We have found that this plugin somehow interferes with the entry detail view page in wp-admin. When you have a list of entries, and you click to view the first one in the list you will see in the upper right hand corner entry x of x. For example if I have 69 entries in this form, entry 1 of 69. When I click the arrow to go to the next one I see entry 2 of 16385 (total number of entries on my site).
Disabling this plugin fixes this issue. Enabling the plugin causes it. My users enjoy your plugin, so we would prefer to continue using it if possible.

And this is the code on and around line 108 of the plugin:
foreach ( $list_values as $key => $value ) { // get each row
$isDropDown = $field->itsg_list_field_drop_down;
$isDropDownEnableChoiceValue = $field->isDropDownEnableChoiceValue;
$choices = $field->isDropDownChoices;

foreach ( $choices as $ch ) { // get each row
if ( $value == $ch['value'] ) {
$list_values[ $key ] = $ch['text'];
}
}
}
}
$submit_value = $list_values; // add row to submit value array

Hi,
I’m using a gravity popup maker to create popups and display content from other sources. when this plugin is active, the first select dropdown of your plugins work perfectly fine.. however when adding the 2nd row, it only displays a dropdown without autocomplete.
I’m pretty sure this is an easy fix, however I need both plugins, yours and gravity popup maker to work together. Any help / pointer please?
NB: I tried this : to inject functionality when clicking the plus button, it doesnt display properly (run behind popup)
$(“#pum-2034”).delegate(“.add_list_item”,”click”,function(){
$(“#pum-2034 select:visible”).each(function(){
$(this).chosen();
})
})
Love the plugin! It’s almost exactly what I need. Is it possible to have the dropdowns show conditionally? I would need the second dropdown to show or hide based on value chosen in the first dropdown. I’ve already explored “chained entries” extension by Gravity Forms but it doesn’t quite work unless you have a value for every column.

On the plugin page there is written , Option 1, Option 2

First of all, thank you for a very useful plugin.
I have added a drop-down menu to one of the lists in my form but, after this, the list is not mandatory anymore even though the corresponding box is ticked.
In other words, if I send the form without filling the list fields, I receive no error message.
Is there a way to correct this?
Thank you,
