Just a quick update: back in September 2016, all four of my public plugins, including Greg’s High Performance SEO, as well as an additional 53 plugins which I had not yet released, were acquired by a new development team. The websites for both Gregs Plugins and Faster Cache, and all support and maintenance responsibility, are now in the hands of the new owners. (The plugin repository still shows me as the author for the plugins hosted here, but I no longer have any access to the plugin files.)

Originally, we’d anticipated a public announcement directly from the new development team to coincide with a relaunch of the two plugin websites; although this hasn’t yet happened, I am nonetheless hopeful that plugin users will have much to look forward to in the coming months as the new owners progress with their plans.

However, it does not yet support the ‘products’ type, used by woocommerce.

Can this functionality be added?

I really like this plugin and it’s a bummer that there seems to be no support.

I got it to work with WP 4.1 and the Twenty Fifteen theme, but it appends the blogname to the content titles of all posts where I haven’t entered a secondary title yet.

I would like to know if this is a bug or if I have implemented the templete tags the wrong way:

Our site have duplicated title and meta tags, one set was the original and the other set was created by the plugin, Do I need manual integration to replace the original set of tags ?

Hi Greg, this is a really great plugin!

I had a quick question – Facebook wants explicit OG: tags specified in the header and is giving me this type of warning:

“The ‘og:description’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.”

Is there any easy way to do this with GHPSEO? Does it support generating Open Graph properties? Or do I manually have to add them into my header.php?

I was able to successfully add the og:title in there with ghpseo_output(‘main_title’), but how do I add/access the meta description for a post?

ghpseo_output(‘description’) came up blank, so I’m stumped.

I have installed this plugin a few months ago, but after a few days disappeared from the pages, I can see the name of the plugin but the forms that i write is not displayed. One day I deactivated all plugins and reactivated all again, then suddenly I saw that show forms on this plugin too, but after a few pages the forms disappeared again, now I’m trying to deactivate and reactivate again the plugin of this SEO but it no longer shows the forms that I could write tags etc.. it’s realy good seo but i don’t know why disappear, i use WP 3.5.1

I’ve been recommended this plugin as it is supposedly fast. However, the settings don’t work: I can’t get the category into the title tag and while I choose to have no keywords (useless for any purposes), I still get a keywords tag in my blog.

I use Thesis theme and have turned off legacy support.

I am used of having all in one seo for just putting Title Tag, Meta Tag and Meta description and when I view my home page. I can see it. But with your plugin. I only see “the company name |”. I am comparing my site to a very similar site, and their site is ranking better than mine. I am not sure if this is the reason why they are ranking better, but I see they have a lot more metatags on their site than does my site with Gregs-SEO

I need to change the meta-description tag for some specific category-archives. Is there no way to edit the meta-description for a single-category? The WordPress Category-Description is not an option because it’s used otherweise…

If i try to specify the description directly in the header.php with if (is_category('XX')), it works but GHP-Seo just puts its description from the settings directly behind it. Is there any way to prevent GHP-Seo from adding the meta-description if there’s already one specified?

I migrated from All In One SEO by my hosting recommendation. Working good, instructions are useful.

Still, if I open an old post I am not able to see description and keywords from All In One SEO in GHPSEO fields. Is that normal?

It took me a lot of trial and error, deactivating and activating of plugins to figure out what the problem was with my bbpress.

I don’t know what, why or how, but there is some problem between bbPress and Greg’s High Performance SEO. If Greg’s is installed, bbPress does not work – your forum root will seem ok enough…but if you click on any forum, the forum’s topic listing page will not list any topics, and the topic page will not show the discussion or any response options.

This is sad because I have come to like Greg’s High Performance SEO…but because I have decided, for many reasons, to move from phpbb to bbPress, I hope a fix is found soon.

Meta description shows some scripts and tage from other plugins like Related posts. Diagnozed and found Greg’s Plugin to be the culprit. Disabling it for now.

I recently switched to Greg’s HP SEO from another SEO plug-in. But this is probably an easy question which I hope someone can help.

Usually when I share an article on Facebook or Google +, you get the headline and part of the first paragraph as a description.

Now, when I share, it shows the headline but instead of a description, it shows “Tweet Tweet”. Is there a way to get the first paragraph to show up on a description?

We’ve found the plugin seems to interfere with WordPress E-Commerce – on the single product pages, the template is overridden to only use the page.php template, not the single-product template intended for that page.

My guess is a remove_action or remove_all_actions call on template_redirect, but I haven’t looked at the code. Just wanted to let the author know about the incompatibility.

I’ve been through and through the instructions and the settings, and can’t figure out what I’d doing wrong. 98% of the default settings, I left in place. I placed

in my theme, below the regular title, so that I could make use of both. Is this possible, or am I doing something wrong? Because instead of displaying the content I’ve put in the Secondary Title field of the post, it’s displaying the name of the blog.

First of all many thanks for this plugin, I just left All in SEO for yours to fix an incredible CPU usage I have had with the former one.
However I cannot fix a problem with GHP SEO:
Sometimes keywords entered in Head Keywords fields are not visible when I return to modify page/post after saving or duplicate. Note that they are correctly saved in _ghpseo_keywords in postmeta table. I already increase suhosin vars biut doesn’t fix it. Of course “Enable Keywords on Writing/Editing Screens” is ON. Any idea ?
