I got a notice from Wordfence saying that Group Comments for LearnDash had been removed from WordPress. What’s the problem?
]]>I’ve got comments set up for lessons, and they are working–but even after activating the plugin, students from different groups still see comments. I’ve cleared all caches and everything. This is true for old comments as well as new ones, made after the plugin was activated. Is there a setting I’m missing to turn it on? Didn’t see anything else in the instructions. I’m using learndash 3.0–maybe the plugin is defunct now? Thanks for the help!
]]>Hi Dennis,
Thanks for making this really useful plugin. I appreciate all the work you’ve put into it.
I have comments enabled in the Discussion settings and no other plugins related to groups or comments etc. In LearnDash content, eg quizzes, topics lessons courses, the Discussion settings are visible to the right when editing these pages. However, the Discussion settings /are/ visible when editing a Post (ie the built-in WordPress Post).
Is this something you’ve come across before?
Thanks in advance for any help.
]]>Our courses are paid offerings to the general public without any private groups or assigned group leaders. Is grouping necessary? We expect all enrolled in the same course to see all comments for that course only but not the comments in courses not enrolled in. Without any assigned geoup leader the admin will be the site-wide moderator. Is this a correct scenario? Thanks.

]]>Hi,
I find this plugin interesting. Before I proceed, may I confirm that with this plugin, I need to disable bbpress-learndash integration and all course-related forums created in bbpress?
Thank you for any advice.

]]>With the plugin activated and set up the way you recommend, the student cannot view comments left by others. They can view the post and their own comments.
I’ve tried changing themes and disabling our other comment-related plugins, but it made no difference.
You can’t view the problem unless you are logged in and a member of the group in question, but here is a screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4ilm828xwg2Sl9YcVQ2bHBOM2c/view?usp=sharing

]]>Hello!
We are building a small church website and find your plugin’s functionality very intriguing. Certainly much lighter than bbpress and buddypress!
We have a question: is it possible to have a group leader (say John Smith) be the group leader of multiple groups (say Group A and Group B) and still interact with them?
The reason we are asking is that we would like to have our group leaders take charge of multiple groups. So John Smith would have his two groups, Group A and Group B who start at different times and have different people, but he’d like to mentor both groups and have discussions.
Currently with 1.0.1 this functionality doesn’t seem to be working unless I’m doing something incorrect. Currently we have Group Leader in charge of two groups. He can interact with Group A which was created first and associated with Course A. Group B was created later and associated with Course A. He tries to interact with Group B but none of his posts show up for Group B members, just Group A.
Is it possible to have this functionality or are we asking for the impossible?
Thanks and God Bless!
]]>Well, must say this plugin came in at a rather perfect time in my development! I was looking for a classroom communication system and POOF! I’m testing right now and I have 2 questions:
1. What is the best set up for teachers to be able to moderate comments for their respective groups? Obviously we don’t want them moderating comments site wide.
2. In your exploration of LD groups code, have you by chance found a conditional to recognize if someone is in a group, eg. is ld_group() ? The reason I ask is that in my testing, the comments respond to LD groups perfectly, however if a user is NOT in a group but they are enrolled in a course, they can comment and other users not in groups can see their comments. My goal is to only allow “classroom” (group comments) and remove comments for any other user.
Thanks for creating this!
