Hi there,
As weird as it is I did not notice this until it was mentionned to me. The language flag appears on my destop, but it does not show on the mobile nor on the tablet version.
I want to know if I miss something installing it. What can I do to see the language options on mobile and on tablet?
Thanks,
Delphine
]]>Hi, thanks for your great Plugin!
I have POPUP-Widget. I added some CSS to place the wrapper 8.3em below the top.
.gtranslate_wrapper a.glink {position:relative; top: 8.3em; border: 0px solid red; padding-left: 5px; padding-top: 2px; padding-bottom: 2px; !important; }
That worked very well.
But now the text in the pop-up window (all the languages) is also moved down by 8.3em. How can I fix this, so that the text in the pop-up itself ist on the top?
What′s the code to directly adress the popup-window?
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Wolfgang.
Hi there.
It seems there’s only one option to use GTranslate – on desktop or on mobile version. But how to set it for both versions?
]]>Hi,
Thank you so much for this amazing plugin. I’m facing some odd issues with my website. The default language of my website is Portuguese and I’m using English as a secondary language. When I change the language to English and try to pick a date for a reservation in any of the listings I can’t select the date. The calendar opens up but even after clicking several times, I can’t select the date. (Sometimes it works in one click sometimes 5/7 clicks).
The other issue I’m facing is that the translator doesn’t translate the available section in a drop-down. See the image for a clear understanding. Link: https://prnt.sc/DZgNCNbNd0CU
Kindly provide your expert insights on these issues.
Thank you.
]]>I’d like to change the default that the select box shows from “Select language” to “Translate”. Is this possible somehow?
]]>Hello, I would like to know how I can prevent certain words or phrases from being translated.
Is this possible? Thank you very much.
Hello everyone, I would like to understand how not to translate a certain title produced (in part or in full). How is it possible?
Can you help me by telling me step by step what to do?
Example of partial translation:
Maglietta di calcio “squadra Milan” must become -> Football shirt “Squadra milan”. In this case “Squadra milan” should not be translated, but Maglietta di calcio should be.
Full translation example:
Maglietta di calcio “Squadra milan” becomes Football T-shirt “Squadra milan”
Who can help me?
]]>@edo888, Thank you for the plugin. I have a few questions about customization. First, I used “Nice drop-down” in the top header, but unfortunately, it’s expanding the entire section whenever I click to change the language (Note: Such an issue not appeared in “Dropdown”). So I opt pop up, but here changing the color is a difficult task for me. I changed the popup switch color to white (because the background is dark blue) with the help of the following code.
.gtranslate_wrapper a.glink {color: #fff !important; /* White switcher text */}
But when the popup opens, again white text color appears with the default white background, which I am aware of. Now I would like to change the text color when the popup opens.
Other questions, 1. How to change the fonts 2. Why nice drop-down expanding the whole section/container 3. Why is the customization of the plugin very limited (at least the nice drop-down has some option to change the colors)?
Once again, thank you for your nice plugin, and I look forward to your reply.

]]>Hello,
I’m using the GTranslate plugin with the widget set to the popup option, and I’m trying to customize its appearance.
My goal is to have the widget display only the flag and the language code (e.g., “EN” for English) instead of the full language name. Ideally, I would like the popup itself to display the flag and the full language name.
I’ve tried using custom CSS to achieve this, but without success. I’ve also searched through the forum but couldn’t find a solution that works for this specific setup.
Could you please guide me on how to configure the widget to display the flag and language code while keeping the flag and full language name in the popup?
Thank you for your assistance!

]]>How do i remove this floating box from my page? I don’t wish to disable the plugin, i only wish to disable it from two different pages.
I’ve checked Widgets can’t find it. I’ve checked my header code, can’t find gTranslate. I don’t have a child theme (i’m using GeneratePress). Again, i can’t find this gTranslate widget. I’ve checked Gutenberg for the page, i’m not using the gTranslate shortcode on this page.
gTranslate Settings area doesn’t appear to have a page filtering element. I’m completely lost.
Where can i find this errant gTranslate widget?

However, there is a formatting issue when displaying the translated texts. As you can see in the attached image, the order of the letters and punctuation marks is not displayed correctly in the English version. For example, the question mark and exclamation mark appear at the beginning instead of the end, which affects the formatting of the text and makes it inconsistent. Can you help me solve this issue?”

I’m using the “Custom CSS” box at the end of the configuration page.
I’m using this CSS:

margin-top: 150px !important;

It seems to work at the configuration page of the widget.

]]>Hi, I’m using your plugin and I’m very happy with it. However, I’ve encountered a problem I can’t seem to solve. The main language of the website is English, but some elements (which are dynamically added) sometimes appear in a different language, for example, in German. As a result, in the English version of the site, those elements are displayed in German, while in the translated version they are correctly translated. Is there a way to ensure that elements which are displayed in a different language on the English version of the site can be automatically forced or translated into English? I’m not sure if I explained this clearly ??

]]>Hi!
We are a web hosting company and we have noted that our clients that use your plugin are having firewall issues. Since your plugin is acting like a proxy there is a lot of malicious traffic passing through causing your ip addresses being blocked and thus the plugin no longer works on the clients’ websites.
We have investigated the issue along with our supplier, the conclusion is that whitelisting your ip addresses is not a viable solution with the amount of malicious traffic. There is an option to add your servers as trusted proxies which will cause the firewall to analyze the origin ip address instead, but this requires you to provide the X-FORWARDED-FOR header when proxying traffic, which is not provided according to our supplier. Is this something you can fix? Or are you using any other headers that provide information of the request’s origin?
Best regards, Simon
We have converted our website to German, Italian, Polish, Portugese and Spanish. Google is not recognizing them and treats them as bad links. This has a major impact on our business.
How can we fix it?
