The Gwolle Guestbook worked exactly as needed when I built a memorial website for a famed photographer, John Dominis. About five years later, I used it again on a site about using Yoga to prepare for end of life. I then saw that the guest entries can easily be formatted with links and images. On a couple of occasions, I needed help and found that the support for the plugin is excellent. I have not found anything like this plugin and I highly recommend it.

I love this plugin!
You can create other new books by adding an ID. I thought it would be even better if you could use a shortcode in each guestbook to change the email notification destination. That way, for example, on a membership website, users will be able to have a guestbook and receive notifications.

Without the best Guest Book for wordpress. So easy to install and configure and I am over the moon with it and best of all it’s FREE!
I also purchased The Addon not only to support the developer but the extra features that come with it are well worth the asking price so I highly recommend buying this to support the developer and for the extra features.

Wenn man sich jedoch fragt, warum das Addon in English angezeigt wird obwohl WordPress auf Deutsch ist dann liegt es wohl dran, das du Deutsch (?sterreich) oder ?hnliches nutz. WordPress Addons scheinen des?fteren nicht damit klar zu kommen das es de_AT und dergleichen gibt. Kaum wurde die Seite auf nur Deutsch umgestellt, ist auch das Addon auf deutsch

Unfortunately. It looks good but we cannot use it. Only the admin receives a notification. I cannot add the owner of the site. And she is more important. Result, search for another guestbook.

I use the Advanced Access Manager plugin.
It is described that only three roles can moderate. But that I could not add them was due to the settings of another plugin.
