Totally broke my website. Even after manually removing the plugin from the server and following the plugin’s support about removing the rogue htaccess file I still had issues. I had to spend an entire weekend uploading all my backup files and reconfiguring stuff.

After reading the 1 star reviews i decided to install this plugin on a text database firs. Big mistake. Immediately after activating the plugin i got a 404 error and was not able to access the site.
If you do proceed you can fix this quite easily.
The plugin creates a file called ‘GZipNinjaSpeed_install_backup1467737212.htaccess’ in the root WordPress folder. All you need to do is delete the current ‘.htaccess’ file from the root folder and then rename the ‘GZipNinjaSpeed_install_backup1467737212.htaccess’ to ‘htaccess’
This restored the access to my site.
Developers of the plugin you need to sort this our or make people aware there is a risk of messing thing up and give them instructions on how to resolve it.

The plugin drastically improved my site’s loading speed, thanks to the developer for making this plugin free to use.
After installing it I also got 500 Internal server error in all of my pages, to solve this make sure the code of Gzip Ninja Speed is on a new line in the .htacces file.. It seems to just paste it behind the last line of code which is (in my case) caused the 500 error.

Installing immediately caused a 500 error on my web site, making the dashboard completely unreachable and reverting the web site pages to either unstyled/unthemed text with no images or 500 errors. Had to edit my .htaccess file via FTP to fix; editing out the references to Ninja did it. Thanks to the helpful user BSM2015 who posted that solution.

Do not install it will cause a 500 error.
To fix:
Take out any ref to ninja from the .htaccess file then upload the file again with your ftp.

i installed this plus in just today and it got me into so much trouble! i had to delete it manually from FTP! and still i cant access any page of my website besides the main page!

I can see the results from Webpagetest. For instance my style.css is now 49.3 KB, and before this plugin installed it was 275.9 KB! But I can not see visible improvement. Yet I don’t think this is the fault of plugin.
