Looks like WordPress has overtaken this plugin and left it in the dust – doesn’t work on WP 4.5.1…
No answers in the Support Forum, no update for over 2 years…

It’s a pity. I need a plugin like this one. I installed it but can’t make it work. The support forums have not received an answer from the author for a long while. I don’t know if the problem resides within my theme or the plugin isn’t compatible anymore with current wordpress versions. Maybe I can get the author to answer here… I will happily change my review.

My goal was to get Google Page Speed Insights up. Just adding this automatically configured what needed done and automatically loaded in break points! Had a 10 point rise on one site and 30 point rise on another site. Super Useful!

So far this is the only plugin which solves easily and flexibly the problem of serving real responsive images, and saving precious bandwidth for mobile users. It could be easily turned on or off. For perfect operation, take some time to find your own breakpoints and classes to ignore.

Not sure how well this works, but I ended up with invalid HTML (not good for mobile) so I disabled the plugin.
Looking forward to seeing this fixed so I can try it again.

I’d love to use this plugin, but keep getting /wp-content/plugins/hammy/WPThumb/wpthumb.php on line 408 errors. I have tried it in my locally hosted server and in a different blog on a shared production server. I’ve also tried to find conflicting plugins but without luck.
I’ll keep checking to see if the problem ever gets solved.

Pain-free way of displaying different image sizes, saving bandwidth and getting the content to your users faster. This incredible plugin does it with very little configuration. Any additional configuration is made to be very easy.

This plugin make having responsive images really easy. Set the breakpoints when the size of the image should change and your done.
The only thing missing for me is responsive featured images.

Honestly there are so many techniques out there for responsive images but this makes having one solution pain-free. All you have to do is upload your image and add it to a page and you’ll get device appropriate images, saving bandwidth.
The best thing about this is, with a lot of the other approaches to responsive images, you’d be pretty busy configuring settings or saving lots of different image files with appropriate filenames; because Hammy makes newly sized images for your breakpoints it saves you all that hassle!
