Great plugin, what I am missing is a drag and drop functionality, for folders to be dragged into other folders as children for example.
Is that feature coming?

There should be an option to set the photo gallery to different column size in Bricks Builder. For example to column 1 for mobile and 3 columns on desktop.

Also the sliders are broken to set height and gap.

I’ve posted this error when 5.8 came in the facebook comment to the post announcement of new version of HappyFiles. It has not been fixed yet. It shows up when you open any post in wordpress.

If your LTD update philosophy is the same with Bricksbuilder as with HappyFiles, why take the risk and use this plugin?

Hi, i just updated a test site to wp 5.8 and i see that on media page now the toolbar is below the media, i have free happyfiles 1.5.1

My site is currently running on Php 7.4.

I just tested it with Php 8 and got a deprecation warning for Happy Files function get_uncategorized_items at line 332 in ../happyfiles-pro/include/helpers.php.

The warning says, ‘Deprecated: Required parameter $taxonomy follows optional parameter $post_type in …/happyfiles-pro/include/helpers.php on line 332’

I’m having an issue I can’t really put my finger on. Sometimes when I try to add a featured image or via a custom field (ACF media field) Happy Files does not initialize correctly giving me a js error. However, if I close down the media dialogue and press again it works. It’s like something is not initialized before I press a media button at least once.

I can re-create this on the same local installation. But it’s less frequent there which is wierd considering my local development is way slower but it happens. The main problem is on our dev server. Biggest difference is that our dev server has a htpassword. But that should not cause this problem? This is happening when using Gutenberg. We have not tried using a non Gutenberg post-type. From what I can tell it happens all post-types (post, page, custom).

Hello. We have the pro version but bought by another developer. We’re finding that when we try and navigate to the image library from within Oxygen none of the images appear. The pro version is showing as 0.7.2. Has there been an update on that version? If we temporarily disable the plugin to check if the thumbnails reappear, will that disrupt the Happy Files folders? I’m assuming they will be back in place when we reactivate but don’t want to lose all the hard work. Thanks

I’ve inserted a Happy Files Gallery using the block editor. I chose ‘attachment’ from the ‘link to’ option and it doesn’t do anything, same with choosing ‘media’. However, if I choose ‘lightbox’ it opens the lightbox just fine. I also tried this using the short code and it still did not work. Any idea why this isn’t working correctly?

If I go to the Media folder I can upload photos just fine. When I am editing a page (using Elementor) and I go to the folder I want the image to be associated with, and then I try to upload a photo, I get the following error:

Post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.

Is there a bug in Happy Files?

When inserting an HappyFiles Widget Bloc in an article, the HappyFiles Gallery bloc settings do provide a dropdown Category selection Field.
It is intended for the author of the article to scroll trough the available categories and select one or several categories for populating the bloc with all the images belonging to the selected category.

The height of this dropdown is but only one character high. It is therefore not possible to see in advance whats below or above the displayed category, making it difficult to find the category you look for when there are many, especially when you have subcategories.

Could it be possible to change that field to a multi-lines dropdown for category selection, ideally providing a slight hierarchical shift for subcategories?

Just bought the pro version of Happyfiles. In the media library the plugin works perfectly fine. But for articles en pages it doesn’t work at all. I can add folders but I can’t drag any items to the folders. Also when I click a certain folder, the contents don’t appear. I have deactivated all other plugins to check if there are any conflicts., but without any result. I didn’t find anyone here with the same issue, does anyone have a clue?

Is there a way to resize the panel on the post feature image upload popup?

I have various page categories including Test Pages (I have licensed version)

When I completed testing, I moved to a destination category – it is now listed there but is still in Test Pages category – how do I remove it from there?

Is there a way to tell HappyFiles I want to move an entry in a category rather than copying it?

Just reviewing your plugin (which I really like so far) and I found a small bug.

View an empty category and then switch the media library to list view and the category pane with the list of categories disappears. Switching back to gallery view will reenable the Category pane.

This only happens with empty Categories.

Really like what this plugin offers.

Plan on trying it out and was wondering if it works alongside the Admin Columns plugin without any issues?

Glad to see that the plugin allows you to delete all database data for the plugin on uninstall. That is a pet peeve of mine with WordPress and should be required of all plugins.

Been reviewing a few other media library manager plugins and the only features I see missing is maybe a sticky and favorite folder options.

I’m mostly loving this plugin (and paid for the Pro version), but I can’t seem to work out how to get the gallery to show all images in the same proportions (eg. 4:3)?

The images in the gallery all have the same width in the columns, but each row seems to have a different height?

All my images are different sizes so I have crop “on”, so was hoping to be able to set all the images to square or 4:3?

Hey, I wonder if there is a way to set the size of the last images that appears in the gallery? This in case for example that there is an uneven number of photos and the very last row will only have one photo instead of six and this final photo will then display large size to fill the width of the gallery instead of showing small size as the other photos in the rest of he gallery….
Any ideas how to change the size of this last photos to fit and have the same size as the rest of the gallery?

In the description of the gallery shortcode parameters is the following;

categories: comma separated list of category names, slugs, or IDs (recommended to use IDs as they don’t change)

Where do I find the category slugs and IDs?

Hey, i ve happily been using the happy file gallery but just realized that the images (which are numbered) all of a sudden change order away from the normal alphabetcial order/name order that is given and after 99 images it changes and randomize the order for about 20 images and then it goes back to consecutive numbers according to the setting sort according to “name”….
what is going on?

I’m not sure wheather it’s a bug or an intention, but after reloading (or reopening) the Media page the previously opened folders are all closed again. It’s a bit annoying to open them again.

I’m not sure if it’s the case of the page or modal, but sometimes it seems, that the only open folder is the one with selected image. Sometimes not.

So I’m not sure how all this should work. For me it would be ideal if all the settings (selected folder, open/closed folders, etc) were preserved for the next visit. With one exception – when the image is already selected, I should be directed straight to the folder, where the selected image lives.
