Is this plugin still being updated? If so, what are its GDPR implications? That is, does it store personal information on users (beyond what’s already present in the comment form submission), and does it communicate personal information to third parties?
]]>I lately noticed that when the plugin is enabled, it is attempting to load code from https://orgasms.org/mz.php. This appears to be some kind of malware injected into the plugin. Please advise.
]]>Getting this email, subject is “Hashcash.IO plugin error” on login, after authenticating with Authy:
While processing form submission Hashcash.IO plugin experienced connectivity error. Therefore allowed submission to pass.
Error message: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
There’s a whole lot of other info in that email – do you need anything else to work on this?
Thanks a lot!
Dear,
First thank you pkaroukin very much for an awesome plugin.
I used it very well on single sites.
However I have an multisite install of non-profit sites, and I can not set Hashcash to show up in the Network Admin Settings menu. So how can I set it up by default for every sub-site then?
I’m using WP 4.1.1 and Hashcash 1.0.12
Thank you and best regards
Neo
(Posted this on GitHub as well – https://github.com/hashcash/wordpress-hashcash/issues/15, just figured it might be seen faster here, or help others.)
I just installed the WordPress Authy plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/authy-two-factor-authentication/).
When I try logging in, after clicking on the Hashcash slider and entering my username and password, and after entering the Authy 2 step code, I get this error: “Submission failed. Make sure Javascript is turned on and try again. Contact the site administrator if this error persists.”
I disabled the Hashcash plugin for now, and it now works correctly, but is there a way to get them to work together correctly?
Thanks!
I think the Hashcash concept is genius.
With Hashcash and Jetpack’s comments activated I get this:
“Submission failed. Make sure Javascript is turned on and try again. Contact the site administrator if this error persists.”
Would you mind taking a look?
Thank you!
Probably plugins conflict but who knows, maybe the solution will be useful for someone.

Hi, my error message on login was solved with the newer updated dev version.
However, my problem now is that when viewing product page on both IE and Chrome, memory usage goes up to 99% in a matter of seconds. disabling the hashcash plugin resolves the usage. I’ve since kept it disabled for the time being.
I am using Windows 8.1 now. Please assist.
Kind Regards.
]]>I’m using Hascash with Woocommerce and after creating a new test user with ‘customer’ privileges, and logging in via the ‘My account’ link. I get this error message.
“Submission failed. Make sure Javascript is turned on and try again. Contact the site administrator if this error persists.”
After deactivating the plugin, I was able to sign in with the test user. Please assist. Best Regards.
]]>Hello, have some old websites were the lock doesn’t appear on the comments form. How can I solve this?
Thank you for this great plugin ??
]]>Just updated to 1.0.6 and the unlock has vanished from the wordpress login page again and error message has returned.
]]>A site that I manage has had an uptick in login attempts without a username in an attempt to bring the site down. So, I installed this plugin to prevent the robots from being able to submit in the thousands like they’ve been doing.
Strangely, I see no difference in the attack numbers, even though this plugin is installed and working.
Any ideas if I somehow did something wrong, or what I can change to add more security? I did raise the number for how long it takes to calculate in the browser.
Thanks.
Dan
Since installing 1.0.2 after logging out from WordPress I am no longer able to log back in.
