Hello,
Thanks for your fantastic plugin.
I have two questions:
1 – Is it possible to upload old comments from Facebook and Disqus too?
2 – Can twitter also be entered?
Thanks
Hello, is it possible to moderate comments? Or integrate with a comment moderation plugin (the one that springs to mind is Akismet)?
I have this setting selected in WordPress for native comments without the use of this plugin but presumably the plugin overrides this.
Hi there, just wondering which version of the Facebook API does this plugin work with currently: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/changelog

I recently recreated the site using a restore of a QA site and removed the old site. I put in the API key but new posts aren’t loading DISQUS at the end. Previous posts seem to still have the original comments but not new ones. Not sure what’s the best solution on this one. I guess given what we did, what’s the basic steps to reconfigure?

I have Social Comments with FB comment moderation plugins. However, unless I am logged into WP, I cannot see any facebook comments.

Hello,
I recently switched themes and now the user comment reviews appear twice. Below is an example. If I had to choose, I would keep the bottom comment. I was provided the code below in this forum to add under additional css because the old them displayed the comment boxes twice. I was thinking this would be something similar. Do you guys have any thoughts? Thanks.
div#commentsAdd{display:none}
Hi, thank you for a plugin than works great.
I had enabled FB comments but then later decided to disable them for testing purposes. I’ve re-enabled them again but the form doesn’t show up.
It’s on a development site so I it’s not important if the previous test comments are lost but obviously I need the form to appear. Is there a way to ‘force’ the form to re-appear?
Hi, thanks for a plugin that works.
On my site I have only WordPress and Facebook comments. The FB comments are automatically threaded. The WordPress comments are not, though I’ve ticked this option in the WordPress settings.
Is there a way for me to force threaded comments in the plugin?
Hello,
This is happening on all of my posts. I recently switched hosting providers. I now (should) have SSL. All of the comments are in my dashboard. However, none of them show on the site. Instead, the very first comment ever made shows up on all posts. (E.g., it says “11 comments” but only that one, same comment is displayed.)
I don’t know how to fix it, and I’m afraid to make any changes that might wipe everything. This is a fairly active site with the comments being absolutely key to its functionality. ??
(In the plugin FAQs, there is one that says something about retrieving lost Facebook comments after going SSL. However, I get a 404 error.)
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I get this error, what should I do?
Hi there,
I just switched from Fancy FB comments PRO to this plugin. But I am getting AMP validation errors in my google console. It says there are 14 pages that are getting the same error from this plug in.
For example: One of the pages is: https://cheapandcheeky.com/update-ugly-oak-cabinets/amp/
You can see that the FB comment box doesn’t show up here.
The invalid code from Google is: <amp-facebook-comments layout=”responsive” width=”100%” height=”400″ data-href=”https://cheapandcheeky.com/update-ugly-oak-cabinets/” data-colorscheme=”light” data-numposts=”” data-order-by=”social”></amp-facebook-comments>

Also I often have to reload the page a few times on my non-amp pages to get the comments box to show up now. Is this a bug?
Thanks
Firstly, looks like you’re doing great work!
I’m wondering if it’s possible to mix comments, rather than have tabs for each network?
I’m also not clear on the purpose/benefit of having separate network tabs for comments, esp now that FB doesn’t allow back and forth comments on pages/sites.
How is this different to other options that allow login from different networks and comment on same comment section (like jetpack)?
What do do different to WpDiscuz?
Thanks!
Hi there, I have everything setup for Facebook comments on my wordpress site. Right now when someone leaves a comment on a post I do not get any notification of this comment.
My question is should I get notified when a user leaves a facebook comment on my site and where should this notification be sent too? How do I manage notifications basically.
Right now inside the facebook app I do not see anything in the inbox area as per here even though I do have loads of comments working on my site: https://recordit.co/bXx9S4dBbF
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Main Issue Steps:
I’ve successfully installed the plugin from the wordpress plugins “add new” portion. I chose to use only the Default WP Comments and Facebook Comments (I may add more later). I’ve cleared all the cache plugins, deactivated them, and cleared my browser cache/cookies as well. When I go to a blog post, I get the errors below.
Note: I use the Thesis theme. I have marked out a portion of my directory (5 x’s), but it does show correctly when I get the error.
Warning: require(/xxxxx/xxxxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/thesis): failed to open stream: No such device in /xxxxx/xxxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/heateor-social-comments/heateor-social-comments.php on line 322

Other Info:
I got the 2 above errors when I loaded a post on my laptop. I’m using PHP Stable (5.6). I have a valid SSL. The Fancy Facebook Comments plugin does work (I turned this off when testing this plugin). Other areas of my site are fine (e.g. home page, pages). Only blog posts or places where the blog comments would be are affected.
Server Software: Apache
Thesis Version: 2.7.1
Active Plugins: a3 Lazy Load, Anti-spam, Autoptimize, Cookie Notice, Fancy Facebook Comments, Google XML Sitemaps, Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions, Sassy Social Share, TinyMCE Advanced, WP Cerber Security, Antispam & Malware Scan, WP Fastest Cache, Smush
Thanks for the awesome plugin! How can I insert HTML before the comment form, such as a link to comment policy, etc?

Hi
If you go to a post all of the other comments options are there but the word press comments box is missing although the tab is there.
Hello, Team Heteor;
attempting to try out your plugin, I seem to be too stupid to set up its Facebook section and can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I have activated the plugin and it is showing at the expected place below posts. I also activated its Facebook portion and obtained an App-ID to put into the appropiate box in options (but I’m not sure if I have all setttings on their end right. I looked for some detailed documentation on how to set up and test properly but found none, neither here in the plugin’s FAQ section nor on your website. :/ Pardon me, should I have overlooked something.)
The Facebook tab is showing, but clicking it does nothing. Isn’t there supposed to be a comment box showing as seen on https://goo.gl/images/H8Nuo1 ?
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
Cheers – LX
Hi,
The Comments (Facebook and Default) are showing up fine on Posts.
I have Pages checkmarked as well, but they aren’t showing on some Pages.
They show up on the About Page (https://www.new-synapse.com/aps/wordpress/?page_id=2) but not on the Printables page for example: (https://www.new-synapse.com/aps/wordpress/?page_id=1736)
Do you know why?
Thanks.
GREAT simply great Fb comment plugin. Does it have an option to sync comments with WP and record them into the WP db? //THANKS
