Hello!
I have exactly the same problem that were asked 3 years ago and left unresolved.
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/top-bar-items-unchecked-after-saving/
Admin top bar items unckecked after saving. In particular I checked Media file in Add menu for Author role. It saved successfully and hid this item but unchecked it in settings. So the next time I update settings I need to check this item again.
Could you please correct this?
Regards, Alex
]]>Unfortunately I can’t hide the menu for the plugin ?SHORTCODER“ because it is not shown..
Even if I create my own menu items with the “menu Editor” plugin, they are not displayed
]]>Doing everything I want but doesn’t hide the Profile Item and sub item Add New User even though I have ticked them to stop them showing. Is this an issue with the plugin or a feature of WP that can’t be overridden.
Would appreciate any suggestions as to how I get around this as don’t this user and role to be able to play around and add a new user
Thx and regards
]]>The initial plugin settings worked and users saw what they were supposed to see. But now I can’t give them access to the WP Rocket pad in the Settings section, and I also can’t set items in the top menu. The settings I make in the plugin for the top menu can’t even be saved (the checkbox disappears after saving with the button at the bottom). I’ve tried clearing the cache and the Clouflare cache – nothing helps.
Please help,
Thank you,
Tomas
I even CMD+F searched for the word backup. The option to disable Updraftplus from the top menu does not appear in your menu.

I saw others mention this same issue with these same plugins – but the topics are closed. These are both extremely popular products, and there are many people like me – searching for a reliable way to hide these menu items outside the view of administrators. Is there any update on this plugin’s forecast to fix the problem of hiding these 2 items?
Thanks in advance!
Is this plugin compatible with Multisite?

Would you like to know if it is possible to hide entire fields within the product crafting panel? For example, the user whose role is store manager accesses to create a product, puts the name, description of the product, but cannot see the address, advanced, Commission, etc. field.
For example the fields marked with “x” in the following image:

]]>Hi,
Many Top Bar items become unchecked after saving.
The changes are successful and the top bar items are hidden, however when you go back to make more changes you will have to check those top bar items again to make them hide with the new changes. If you don’t the top bar items will appear again after saving.
Could you have a look at this?
Thanks.

]]>Hi I am unable to find hide menu option, on my wp dashboard.
I checked in tools, settings but cannot find it.
Can you please let me know where can I access it’s settings?
]]>Thank you very much for this extremely useful plugin. I’ve been using it for two purposes:
1.) to hide useless menu items from myself, such as advertising-only pages or set-once-and-forget plugins, and
2.) to hide stuff from user who are less privileged, but where the plugin to be hidden can’t be removed with role definitions.
I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but since we’re after cosmetic cleanliness, I would find it really useful if Hide Admin Menu could install itself as a sub-menu of “Settings” (/wp-admin/options-general.php) and not take up a top menu position of its own.
]]>Hi,
I just want to show Products tab (from Woocommerce) in the admin for some users role and it’s working fine.
Now I’d like for each product ONLY the ‘Show’ option to be unabled when the user hovers the product line. All the other options ‘Edit’ ,’Quick edit, ‘Dustbin’, ‘Duplicate’ must not be visible.
Is it possible with your plugin ?
If not have you got some code to put in my child theme ?
Thanks
Patrick

]]>Hey,
When I run the Health Check tool, I was getting the 2 following critical errors:
The REST API encountered an error Performance
The REST API is one way WordPress, and other applications, communicate with the server. One example is the block editor screen, which relies on this to display, and save, your posts and pages.
The REST API request failed due to an error.
Error: [] cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
Your site could not complete a loopback request Performance
Loopback requests are used to run scheduled events, and are also used by the built-in editors for themes and plugins to verify code stability.
The loopback request to your site failed, this means features relying on them are not currently working as expected.
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received (http_request_failed)
After running the troubleshooting mode and 1-by-1 activating each of my plugins, I’ve found that it is your plugin which seems to be the issue.
I’m not sure what’s up with it, but hopefully, you can take a look when you get a chance.
Many thanks in advance!

]]>Hiding of Top Bar Menus works good, … but is very hard to configure as all items are shown in a flat list.
It would be much easier if you could visually group them like in the real toolbar with main menu items and subordinate items (which can all be hidden by hiding their main menu item).
