This plugin Hide This is so good!
It’s easy to use and works well. Please give an update so that it does not show it’s 6 years old!
thanks so much,
Christina Hills

]]>Hello and thank you for your great work,
We lately keep on finding the following Notice on our log
Notice: Undefined index: user_login in /wp-content/plugins/hide-this/hide-this.class.php on line 409
I guess it refers to the real_name
of the code.
Could you please look into it?
]]>Hi Andrés,
I am using the short codes to restrict content, and I would like to know if it would be possible to include a message like “Restricted content for users without permission” to the Roles that are not allowed to see the content.
Thanks for your fantastic plugin!
]]>Hello. I’ve installed a plugin that change the normal users roles with custom.
Example an user role could be Male role and other Female role.
So i need to hide and/or show a part of the content in a post to these and more customs roles. Does your plugin works for my need?

Could you kindly add the option to “Hide for all exclude POST_AUTHOR” please ?

Hello, I am looking for a way to hide elementor header and footer theme templates from non-logged in users. I tried Dynamic Content but it seems there may be a limit to the number of items that can be hidden on a page (or something).
I found Hide This which seems to work well but I have to apply the shortcode to each separate part of the content I added.
Does anyone know if there is a way to apply the Hide This shortcode to elementor elements such as sections, columns or widgets?
Many thanks.
]]>Hi,
we have custom roles made up which I would like to use with your plugin,
we have one called ‘Schools’ which I want to only show content on,
this is the shortcode I have used,
‘[hide for=”all” exclude=”Schools”]Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.[/hide]’
but its not working,
it works when i use ‘adminstrator’ there instead,
does it have to be the default roles for it to work?
Thanks,
Gavin,

Hi, from your description:
“It’s very important to note that the content wrapped within the shortcode won’t even be printed as HTML. It will be really, really hidden. There are a lot of great plugins that hide the content via CSS and Javascript, but this is not the case. If you want your content to not be visible, but still printed as HTML, you should try one of those.
[hide]”
I want everything to be hidden, including from the HTML. However, your last sentence contradicts the previous ones. After saying “try one of those”, did you forget to list other plugins as right now it continues with the plugin syntax?
]]>[hide for=”all” exclude=”username:foo”]Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.[/hide]
I have inserted this code and it doesn’t work as i would want to.
The hiding is working, but the excluded user can’t see the content which is hidden.
Is there any solution to this problem?
]]>Please add function
[hide until="1000"]Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet.[/hide]
Does this have the ability to hide specific content from everyone (not a member/user etc), anyone that comes to the page, until they enter their name and email address?
]]>Hi,
Is there a way to hide a user’s name from a post? For instance, if “admin” creates a post, can I hide “admin” from the post with this plugin? If so, how would I do this? Thank you so much for any help you can offer!
]]>Hello, I am attempting to hide content on a virtual page. There is a 3-level taxonomy, basically, and I want some text to appear on the first page but not on the subsequent 2. Since these “pages” all have the same page ID, I can’t get it to work, though it comes through to the second page just fine. I was hoping your plugin could help me hide it on the third level but I don’t know how to configure that. Any ideas?
]]>Hi team,
I’m trying to protect my pages and give access only for some specific users. All work good for 1 user with this code [hide for=”all” exclude=”username:hello1″]. But when I tried to use more than 1 username [hide for=”all” exclude=”username:hello1,hello2″], only the first user (hello1 can see content, but the new user (hello2) can’t see the content of page.
I tried to change code to this [hide for=”all” exclude=”username:hello1,username:hello2″]. In this case, all people can see the content of the page even hello1 and hello2. ?How can I fix this to allow only user hello1 and hello2 see the specific content?
We’re creating a list for users to see what all cookies the site uses, and I can’t seem to find anything indicating if the Hide This plugin uses any cookies itself. Could you let me know whether or not it does, and if so list the name, purpose and duration for any cookies it uses? Thanks.
