We want to announce that Hide WP URLs plugin was moved to
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/hide-my-wp/
Please delete Hide WP URLs and install the new plugin for future support and updates.
To keep the current settings, you can backup and restore the settings in the new plugin.
Best,
John
Please read this before you post a new support thread, maybe you find a solution a lot faster.
1. In case you have a shared Nginx hosting
Hide My Wp needs access to the Nginx config file in order to add the rewrite rules for the new paths. Also, you need to refresh the Nginx through SSH after you save the settings.
If you don’t have SSH access on your Nginx server, unfortunately, you can’t use this plugin.
For Nginx servers read:

https://hidemywp.co/article/how-to-configure-hide-my-wp-on-nginx-web-server-with-virtual-private-server/
For Bitnami Nginx Servers read:

For Inmotion Nginx Servers read:

2. In case there are compatibility issues
If you have other security plugins doing the same thing as ours, you should deactivate them before using Hide My WP or contact us to test them before you use them both at the same time.
Make sure you copy the safe URL from Hide My WP somewhere safe. In case you are locked out after re-login you can access the safe URL and all the settings will rollback to default.
See how you can deactivate the plugin in case of errors:

3. Bugs and Suggestions
We worked hard to make an easy to use plugin for you but we are humans too and can’t cover all the issues mostly caused by compatibilities with other plugins. If you find a bug in our plugin please contact us at https://hidemywp.co/contact/ and send us as many details as you can in order to identify the bug faster. If you can attach images pointing the issue it will be much appreciated.
If you have any suggestion on how we can make the plugin better, please let us know.

]]>Hi there!
I accidentally changed my wp-admin URL and want to revert it back. Can you help guide me through that?
I was apply update via wp for hide-wp-urls that make error 500 and no way to access the admin dashboard. I had to disable the plugins via PhpMyAdmin to find an operational admin dashboard.
Now i don’t use this plugin again … i don’t like this type of surprise.
Later, maybe…
]]>Hi, i set my custom login url as “user”. On the password reset form after submitting the username or email it redirects to the original url wp-login.php?checkemail=confirm
and since i enabled “Show 404 Not Found Error” it gives me 404 page.
On install I got this and screwed up my who wp site
Now i have to start from scratch!

]]>Hello,
I installed this plugin to apply wp-admin and wp-login aliases. I copied my new url and safe recovery url. After applying the change and being logged out, I could not reach the login page with my new url. The recovery url with hmu_disable also does not work.
I have disabled the plugin by renaming the plugin directory, and I can reach the login screen, but I get a “reauth=1” redirect loop. I have tried changing salts, clearing the wp_usermeta session_tokens, flushing rewrite rules and changing .htaccess to original rewrite rules… all to no avail.
How do I back this out now and save my site?
Ben
