What would be the best pathway? I’d like to modify the text, add a banner, maybe my company logo. etc

Are there any hooks or filters I can use to change the attribute output from a comma delimited list, to instead output as a html list? Been seeing new TOS updates from Google, looks they are going to put the old bait and switch on sites that are using their recaptcha service. This is fine I guess if the is it monetizing traffic… if not, the Goog maps API and others get real expensive real fast.

Do you have any other options in the works for captcha anti-spam service alternative to Google recaptcha? Contact form 7 plugin for example uses a custom question/answer validation… something like that or perhaps your own unique I’m not a robot challenge.

Thankfully you have the Mapbox option. Are you familar with Radar geo API service? They claim to offer wide array of API geolocation, etc, etc… and offer 100,000 free API calls per month. Price is about 1/10 of Google map products.

I use HivePress together with Icegram Express and see this PHP warning on each one of Icegram’s workflow detail pages:

Warning: Attempt to read property "ID" on null in /home/httpd/vhosts/[domain.tld]/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/hivepress/includes/components/class-admin.php on line 1138

All other pages don’t show this warning. Perhaps it’s a conflict between those plug-ins?

Hi team,

I am trying to create a really simply Vendor Sign up process, which simplifies the sign up process, Vendor details and most importantly, the payment process. In it’s current form the plugin is making it too complicated (much like other plugins and themes).

When a Vendor clicks the ‘Add Listing’ Button, they are taken to a sign up page. My first question is how can I skip this step and allow the vendor to sign up and add their business at the same time?

When a user is registered, I see that they can choose a category, which is great, but how do I edit the template for each category? For example, if they choose ‘services’ they are presented with Hourly Rates, Warranty’s and loads of fields I do not want. How do I edit these templates?

If I purchase a few add-ons, can I later buy the bundle of plugins for the price difference?

There are some very popular directory/classified plugins available that offer a similar feature set to Hivepress. One nice feature of Hivepress is Mapbox option… But would be nice to have a custom built solution for Stripe/Paypal payment methods to pay for listings, packages, subscriptions… without having to rely on Woocommerce to to this.

So you are probably aware, for example, here are two popular paid directory wp plugin/themes available on codecanyon… it would be nice to see how your devs thinks Hivepress compares to these. A feature comparison chart with feature check-boxes would be useful. It can become quickly overwhelming for newbies trying to sift through all the various features and possible limitations for scaling a site.

I’ve been asked to build a niche website similar to about.me where someone can create a profile, e.g., about.me/matt, so it can be shared in the person’s email signature, link in bio, etc.. and allow someone to book their services (https://about.me/features/scheduling).

I need to create a niche directory for therapists with different skillsets. Some do CBT others do more alternative stuff like Reiki. Essentially I want to create something like https://about.me/matt where each user has their profile they can use as an online presence with a short url.

This website will double as a directory though, so not only does each professional have profile where they can be found and have the clients to book their service, but also there’s filters and search to find different skilled practices based on specialty and location.

Some of the features I need are:

• ability to create a custom short url for each directory listing: domain.me/johnsmith
• allow a Marketplace setup where some users have roles of Sellers that are able to list their services for booking and charge other users (‘Clients’) for booking their service via payment methods they set up during their account registration. This also includes the ability to send Zoom call links, etc..
• ability to vote/rate each professional
• ability to allow front end customisation of profile as well as add a description, photo and links to socials and a CTA button with editable text.
• ability to message or email the practioner
• I’ve seen some directory plugins have an Embeddable Badge with Ratings or html code to use as email signature, this would also be awesome.

Would all this be possible with HivePress native? Alternatively, are there any well integrated plugins with HivePress that could do some of this functionality, i.e: Bookly to handle hourly booking sessions etc?

Hi, I’m using third party theme. And in gutenberg I don’t see HivePress blocks. Is there some kind of way to add this blocks to gutenberg so I can create and build HivePress templates for my site?

I read some FAQ on your site but couldn’t find answer I’m looking for.

After a recent update, the ability to select multiple categories has been lost. Previously, I was able to select multiple categories, but now the selection option only allows for one category to be selected at a time.

Looks like you guys have been busy improving and updating the script over time. We see there is a “showcase” on hivepress website but there are many sites on the showcase which appear not have much of a user-base. i.e. few or no listings in categories, etc.

While it is nice to see examples of ways people have configured sites visually and for specific market niches, it would be even nicer to have a short list of sites actually have a large active user base.

aka. – Hivepress powered sites that appear to be successful as an online business.

Can you give some examples of “success stories” sites using Hivepress?

There are other competitors to Hivepress plugins that people may choose (directory plugins on Codecanyon) unnecessarily if they can not have an idea of Hivepress potential.

Generally people are hesitant to invest so much time into a script unless they are confident it will handle their needs if they can build a robust active marketplace. Hence, examples of success stories.

Below options are required for most rental booking marketplace. Would like to know how to accomplish those in HivePress using its features/plugins or using WooCommerce/ other WP plugins along with HivePress.

1. Subscription Payment: Customer will purchase rental of a house for 12 months but will pay monthly rentals each month.
2. Security Deposits: Along with rent amount, there would be another option that would show security deposits (set by admin) in the checkout calculation which will be added to total payable. Admin would be able to enable/ disable this for each rental.
3. Quote: For items, admin and vendor would be able to set a Quote option (customer asks for pricing and further details based on his/her requirements) in addition to existing pre-set fixed pricing.
4. File Upload: During registration, Host/Vendor will be able to upload documents (e.g. certificates, ID, photos etc.) if Admin enables this. During each order customer will be able to upload documents (e.g. photos, clearance, ID etc.) if Admin enables this.

Currently it only allows upload directly to the computer.

Clicking the image of a list item opens the image’s lightbox, rather than the single hp_listing page. The problem is solved by rolling back to version 1.7.1. Is anyone else having this problem?

Is there any possibility to add the Main Buttons to the Custom Page instead of the Header Menu?

Hi devs: Thanks for the update the roadmap is really great to keep us interested in the project and see new developments.

Two things stood out to me, surprised they are not already done or at least within the next month, not 6 months out.

1. Do not show empty categories on search filter. For that matter, probably let admins not show empty ANYTHING.
2. Make it easy for everyone to see when listing expires and give option for admin to be notified X days in advance when listing expires. Also anyone who “follows” the listing or vendor/user can be notified of their expired listings as well. For people who pay month to month and want to renew a listing this will really help retain users/income for site owners.

Does it accommodate multiple directories with a single installation? A restaurant directory and a hotels directory and a dealership directory, for example.

If yes, does it accommodate easily adding additional category types, subcategories or taxonomies, attributes, etc. as in dropping a list into a field and clicking a submit or add button as opposed to manually typing in each item word by word.

If yes, are locations specific to the parent directory or one location to rule them all…so if somebody searches “Texas” all listings for all directories show up if they’re linked to Texas, or would it be “Hotels In Texas” and ONLY hotels in Texas show up?

Is it compatible with Ultimate Member (using for profiles, multiple custom registration forms) so registered roles can use the listing forms and bypass the directory registration or author profile options.

Is it compatible with classic, non block based themes?

In other themes the price changes when I click on the checkbox for a product option.

I am in the process of implementing your plugin on my real estate listing website. Since most of the listings are from India and cater to an Indian audience, I would like to display the price in the Indian numbering system i.e. 10 100 1,000 10,000 1,00,000 10,00,000 1,00,00,000…

Also, the filter would need to work with the implementation. Presently the price is in the US currency system which can be confusing for an Indian audience. Could you guide me on this? Thanks.
