]]>Hi there,
I have uploaded a video file to the upload folder where all the other image files are going, but the plugin can’t fine the file. The file is there because if I place the URL in the browse to the file direct it comes up. Please can I have some help.
Kind regards
John
I want to provide multiple bitrates of video in multiple formats (mp4, webm, ogv) and I want the player to select video format, playback method (HTML5 or Flash) and bitrate transparently, depending on platform and bandwidth, like Youtube does.
Is this possible with this plugin? If so, how? Please advise.
]]>Any ideas as to why? Plays with IE, Chrome, iPhone.
]]>I noticed a test site that I’m developing started to slow down. When I investigated with Firebug I found that requests from vjs.zencdn.net were taking a long time. The php code first tries the CDN versions of the .js and .css files, then local versions, but if the CDN is suffering from slow down it really delays things. Maybe there could be an option to bypass the CDN?

“Sorry, site not recognized” Is shows in Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Thanks

]]>Hi,
I just have a question about autoplay. I know that normally the iPad doesn’t support autoplay, but when I first installed your plugin, I thought it had autoplay enabled and the videos played when viewed. I also have an audio plugin that had autoplay enabled which worked because it played an .mp3 on my home page. I tried contacting the developer of my audio plugin, but he has not been available.
The autoplay feature for either video or audio is no longer working. I thought maybe you could explain why it worked previously but no longer. I don’t understand if the Ipad doesn’t support autoplay, how is it that the plugin was able to override that? I updated my iPad browswer to ios 6, and I thought maybe that did it, but my other iPad which still runs on ios 5 no longer supports it either.
I only noticed this on the iPad. All the other browsers are fine.
I guess Apple just doesn’t want us to have autoplay, which I hate.
Thanks,
Laura
Hi, I love your plugin.
I have one question. I have it working in all my browsers successfully, but my sister, who uses Windows 7 on her computer (I think she uses Firefox)claims that the video controls show but they are not enabled. She can play the video to get it going, but after it plays, she cannot pause the video. She says the controls are inactive. Here is how I have my settings set up:
[video mp4="https://sanssouciblogs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/The_Relative_size_of_the_Universe.mp4" ogg="https://sanssouciblogs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/The_Relative_size_of_the_Universe.ogv" width="480" height="360" autoplay="false" preload="true" controls]
Could you please tell me what could be wrong and how I can fix this?
Thank you,
Laura Tower
I just tried to upload all 3 video formats. 2 worked fine but this had an error:
“HolidayAnimation_Intranet.webmsd.webm” has failed to upload due to an error
Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.
I am able to display videos in standard browsers fine however the native Android and iOS browsers don’t work. This is supposed to be HTML5 compliant right? I am using MP4 encoded videos and I can see the videos if I use firefox on android but not the android native browser.
Thanks to everyone in advance, aside from this issue I am very happy with this plugin!

]]>Hi,
In debug mode i have this message after Html5Video plugin (last version) installation :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function curl_init() in /var/www/vlog/wp-content/plugins/html5-videos/html5-videos.php on line 78
How to resolve this problem ?
Thanks
]]>This is with a 16:9 video. Plays OK at specified size, clicking full-screen button fills the screen, but doesn’t maintain the 16:9 ratio.
]]>I’ve been trying all of the HTML5 video plugins for wordpress that I could find and every other one of them kept failing on IOS (iphone/ipad), but this one so far is working pretty good. I do have 1 suggestion and 2 questions however.
Suggestion: The button for the shortcodes from the media library is helpful, but I think you should also put in your documentation how to manually use the shortcodes. I had to view the source so I could use a video that wasn’t in the media library. Not a big deal for a plugin developer, but for other people it would be useful.
Question: I am loading the code into a modal window so that when someone clicks links the modal opens and the video player is there. Problem is I can’t use autoplay since the videos are in hidden div’s until they’re loaded into the modal window. Is there any way to trigger the play via jquery or javascript?
Question: Can you include the javascript file with the plugin rather than remote loading https://vjs.zencdn.net/c/video.js so if one day that disappears, it’s still being used locally?
I hope you guys don’t disappear like so many others =)
