We have a London-based Digital Ocean Spaces bucket, but you don’t provide that option in your plugin so we’re currently unable to use it.
]]>Hi Team,
I am encountering an issue with the Media Cloud plugin during the system test on wordpress website, specifically related to background connectivity. The error message we are receiving states:
” BACKGROUND CONNECTIVITY
Your WordPress server configuration does not support background processing. The bulk importer will not work. Try changing the Connection Timeout setting in Batch Processing Settings to a higher value like 0.1 or 0.5. Some plugins also can cause issues.
Unable to dispatch background tasks.”
We have attempted the following solutions based on the provided hints:
1. Changed the HTTP Client to Guzzle.
2. Increased the Connection Timeout and Timeout settings in Batch Processing Settings.
3. Disabled Verify SSL in Batch Processing Settings (as we’re on a managed hosting provider).
4. Turned off Skip DNS.
5. Increased max_execution_time in our server settings.
Despite these efforts, the issue persists, and the plugin still cannot dispatch background tasks. Screenshot of the error for your reference : https://tinyurl.com/2c9vm8yy
Could you please provide further guidance on how to resolve this issue? Additionally, if there are any server-level configurations or hosting environment limitations that might be causing this problem, kindly let us know.

It’s working fine for reading and uploading images on cloud R2 storage
But when it comes to read PDF attachment it’s not getting the size of the files

Hi there,
We’ve been using your Media Cloud plugin to pass off our uploaded media to a Digital Ocean Space for over a year now and it’s been fine. Recently it’s stopped uploading to DO and instead just to our server.
We’ve gone through the wizard process again and it says all the steps were successful but still nothing. We’ve also regenerated our keys on DO but it still doesn’t seem to be uploading there.
Do you have any advice?
Thanks

After installation and activation, it caused issues with other plugins (such as Youzify) that could originally upload files with Chinese filenames properly. ]]>So I’m a big fan of this plugin, have offloaded several sites and all seems well. I notice that with DigitalOcean though there’s no option to add in the .cdn part of the URLs. The urls are always written as hxxps://bucket.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com/… but DO spaces are much faster for the end user if we can add in the .cdn to the url (e.g. hxxps://bucket.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/…)
Can we get an option to turn on the .cdn or otherwise modify how the URLs are written?
P.S. I’ve tried changing my custom endpoint to include the .cdn but that breaks the plugin’s ability to upload files or interact with the bucket.
Currently I’m using a re-write in my theme’s functions.php to re-write the URLs, but I’d much prefer to have the plugin just create the urls correctly in the first place.
So when we create an API token for an R2 bucket, there is nowhere to enter it. Instead, this plugin is asking for Access Key and Secret. I use another plugin for Cloudflare and all I need is the API token for the zone, and it works.
I’m going to assume this plugin is no longer developed or supported, especially given other threads here about support on the developer’s site not responding to tickets.

]]>Hello,
I’m an author of the Better image sizes plugin and I would like to create some integration for your plugin.
My plugin generates images in custom folder in /uploads/
folder and I want these images to be also sent eg. to AWS S3 and in case of URL replacement also replace URLs, etc…
Is there some documentation I can use to create this compatibility or can you give me an example of which hooks and how to use them to achieve this?
I’ve tried to search you plugin source code to find something like that, that I can adjust and reuse but without success.
Thank you,
Jakub
When I upload an image with orientation > 1, the wordpress core system will automatically rotate the image properly, this time the image file will add the suffix “rotated”. At the same time, the wordpress core will keep the original image information in the “original_image” information. However the plug-in didn’t work properly that wordpress core does but used the “original_image” original image, and resulted in the attached size images being incorrectly oriented. Here is an image with orientation > 1 that I used and had a rotation problem:
Hope the development team learns and fixes this issue. Thank you!

I have set up the settings in DO spaces and plugin and everything works perfectly.
The only problem is that uploaded images have this URL
https://mywebsite.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com/folder/2023/07/24151201/image.jpg
How can I change these URL’s to my subdomain like this?

Hello,
We have a member platform and usually they upload images, documents and audio. Is it possible with this plugin that when users upload files they are automatically uploaded to the cloud? Normally they are uploaded to our wordpress datebase but the upload speed is so slow that it gives errors to the users.
Can Everest Backup speed up the upload for our users as well?
