I’m getting this console error in Chrome browser on PC:
eb-animation-load.js?ver=1.3.4:26 [Deprecation] Listener added for a ‘DOMNodeInserted’ mutation event. Support for this event type has been removed, and this event will no longer be fired. See https://chromestatus.com/feature/5083947249172480 for more information.
line 26 in that file
I get the error in admin and frontend on all pages, not just pages with an image gallery.
It’s not actually breaking my site as I’m not using animation but posting here in case it is an issue for others
In the settings, there’s an option to set the image size, for example, to medium. However, when I do this and save the page, after refreshing the site, it reverts back to “default.” As a result, the images on the frontend are always displayed in full size. Please fix this issue. I am using WordPress 6.6.1.
Hi. As I understand it, WordPress allows ‘safe’ HTML formatting in image captions. I want to make some words in each caption bold, but if I add … or … I see the actual HTML in the caption on the front end. Is it possible to make some words in the caption text bold with this plugin?
Hello, very good complement, the only thing that doesn’t work for me is the masonry layoud view, I don’t know why it doesn’t load correctly, in the editor it does represent it but when publishing all the images appear at full width one below the other.
Hi,
Just tried updating to 6.5 on a staging server and the block broke: “Your site doesn’t include support for the Image Gallery block. You can try installing the block, convert it to a Custom HTML block, or remove it entirely.” (clicking the install link didn’t work).
Code still functions fine on the frontend thankfully, just screwed in the edit window.
I’ve rolled back to 6.4 now but would be interested to hear if anyone else has this issue?
Thanks,
md
Caption Styles Text Color and Background Color edit boxes do not open. They quickly flash open and close. Seems to be Safari issue.
Dear all, first of all really a great plugin you got there! I am the administrator of a Photographer website and galleries are the core of the business. Your plugin is so easy to use and – even if I am still in the testing phase to switch from our galleries to this – very good to see! As of now I only have one problem : when hovering over the pictures the link to the specific picture is shown and the name of the file as well. You see, all the pictures are protected so nothing can be downloaded etc…but I don’t want to display even the link, then the naming and details of uploading will be unveiled. Can this be blocked somehow? Thanks! BR, Andreas
When I click an image to open the lightbox, it works properly the first time, and it’ll close just fine if I click anywhere on the dark overlay. The second time I click on an image the escape button and arrows won’t work to control the gallery anymore, and clicking the overlay no longer closes it.
This is a great plugin but for some reason when I click to expand the lightbox, then close it, the next time I open it, it will only close from the X button
The first time it’ll close just fine if I click anywhere on the dark overlay. Could this be caused by some conflict of plugins I have on my site?
I also noticed when that second+ time an image is clicked on to open the lightbox, the escape button and arrows won’t work to control the gallery anymore either.
Hello,
Thank you to anyone who can assist with this issue!
On the homepage of my site I have two images in a gallery. When editing the page, the gallery shows the captions in white font, with a gray background, and they are oriented on the left bottom of the image. The images also have a border between them. Everything seems normal and appears as I want when editing. See here – https://photos.app.goo.gl/aLFkYwfUofwkgiC47
However, when I view the actual page on a browser, the images do not have the text formatting I set, nor do they have the border formatting that was set. I tested this on google chrome, Internet Explorer, and my mobile device (iOS), and none of them show the gallery as I have it set to appear. See here – https://photos.app.goo.gl/RqG1HkoS1dcakaBE9
Why is this image gallery showing as I want when editing the page, but not when I view the page in a browser?
Thank you very much in advance for your help!

This plugin is great, thank you. I have adjusted the settings to show image captions on the gallery, but is it also possible to show those captions – either by default or on hover, on the slideshow?
Thank you.
Hi,
Just wondering if it’s possible to add pagination or an infinite scroll option to the gallery. I have a large gallery with over 200 photos and it takes a long time to load and organise into columns.
Thanks
Hi
Under the tab Unschlagbare Angebote das ganze Jahr! Spontan einl?sbar! (qbon.ch) the pictures stack in a crowded way on both the desktop and phone view.
Can you please help me solve this problem?
Alt attribute is not displayed
I have used the gallery with no problems in Firefox and Safari, but when I try to view it in Chrome it does not appear as it does in the other browsers.
I have created several pages with 2-column galleries with a masonry layout, but in Chrome they are displayed in a single row and the lightbox does not work.
Do you know if there is a problem with Chrome?
Thanks
Is it possible for the gallery to serve the correct size image to the appropriate device? For example, on mobile, I wish to serve my image@500×300, whereas, on desktop, I wish to serve my image@1500×900. Currently, it is only serving the original image size and not serving the optimal size for the device/screen size.
Hey
In version 11.4 of Gutenberg a new experience in relation to galleries have been added. Check out this post: https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2021/08/20/gallery-block-refactor-dev-note/ and my comment to the post.
