All I was looking for was a way to improve SEO by being able to import my EXIF and also add keywords…I had to tweak the template a little bit but I found something like this worked great.

{ EXIF:ImageDescription } | KEYWORDS: { IPTC:Keywords }

These tags are placed in the Description area of WordPress media files.

So, it ends up being something like this:

These are my blue shoes. | KEYWORDS: shoes, blue

Perfect for my needs.

This works great on it’s own but 2 major issues for me:

1) Does not work with Automatic Featured Image Posts Plugin, somehow it works in advance to the Image Posts plugin and causes it to break.

2) The color scheme of the reference pages makes reading through all the variables really painful. (I saw the ‘do not highlight’ checkbox in the first menu area, it needs to be applied to the whole settings page.)
