]]>Hi,
We have our large size in the Worpress config set with a max-width and max-height of 2048px.
In the Imagify config panel, under Files Optimization the large size is checked.
But when we upload already resized 2048px images, they’re not optimized by the Imagify. Any reasons why Imagify is not generating a 2048px version?
Here are the files it generates:
myimage-1024×497.jpg
myimage-1024×497.jpg.webp
myimage-600×600.jpg
myimage-600×600.jpg.webp
myimage-768×373.jpg
myimage-768×373.jpg.webp
myimage.jpg
myimage.jpg.webp
The original file myimage.jpg is there, but there are no optimized version for it like myimage-2048x…..jpg
Any ideas how we can fit it?

Hello, the images do not change to .webp format, my configuration is as follows:

When optimizing and looking at my site with the browser inspector, I notice that the image is still showing as a .jpe
I have tested it by opening another tab in the browser and entering the path of the image and adding .webp (path.jpg.webp) and it shows the image, but as I indicate on the page, it shows it only as .jpg
Note: I use Cloudflare, does it have anything to do with it?

Hi Marko,
If there is a specific image that I already converted to webp using my own tool that I am happy with the file size and quality, can I upload this image to replace the one that was created by the plugin (same name), and it all still works?
Another words, the plugin is able to still create the <picture> tags etc to detect the browser and deliver webp when appropriate?
Thanks!
]]>Hello,
How do I get an API key, when I login to my wordpress.com account, then security, there is no option to see my API key. Do we need API key from wordpress or a separate one from Imagify?
Thank you!
I have enabled automatic image compression in the settings, but new images I upload aren’t being compressed. I’ve checked all related settings and even tried deactivating/reactivating the plugin, but the problem remains.
Could there be a conflict with my theme, or is there something I’m missing?
]]>Hello,
We recently started to use the WebP solution from this module, however it seems to strip the alt tags from the images and as such impacting SEO and accessibility features for images. This only seems to happen for images that were already in the media library.
It’s only after I do a manual regeneration for these images that it creates things like alt text and title tags for the images attached to it again.
Any chance you could introduce a fix for this issue?
]]>I was curious why my site is using just two .avif files generated by imagify and places the wrong images in some containers like the 150×150 sometimes use 768 .avif the 320 uses the same instead of the 420.jpg.avif
It only fetches 768.jpg.avif and the original file.jpg.avif. When I deleted both, imagify failed to give a fallback. Other images that exist are 1024.jpg.avif, 420.jpg.avif that’s perfect for my site’s 320 grid container and the webp version of the images deleted.
Hello again!
When uploading an image seems optimization goes through all ok
But at log i see an error ?Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: filter_input(): Unknown filter with ID 16777216
What is this filter? only thing i found searching is a report at github:
https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-plugin/issues/753
But never replied even there
Any idea?
As usually thank you for great plugin, i use at all sites!

]]>After finding out that WP Engine’s CDN interferes with Imagify’s ability to create picture tags as well as the fact that they claim that their CDN generates optimized images, I’ve started to spiral a bit with some questions.
First. Is there a way to utilize Imagify’s built in function to serve next gen formats on WP Engine instead of using the CDN?
Second, if not is there still any benefit to enabling “Display images in Next-Gen format on the site?”
Third, assuming that in this scenario there is no way to utilize Imagify’s native image handling is there still a benefit to using Imagify on WP Engine sites and if so what is the best way to call images from the media gallery so that Imagify is able to work it’s magic?
Thank you

At last 2 sites i installed, Backup original images is turned off
but still imagify keeps original images at /wp-content/uploads/backup and i delete
manually after every batch.
Any idea?
Also a generic question about backups.
As imagify retains the full (uploaded) image or more correctly replaces the original images with an optimized image why can not regenerate thumbnail from this optimized image as it still has the original dimensions if will change theme?
]]>Hello,
Really thanks for great plugin, using it with infinite licenses from the start and have optimized in speed and space many sites including some with more than 300k posts.
Last days receiving at 2 sites i started to optimize (bulk), some strange errors
At some images:
1)Our server returned an error (0 – Could not resolve host: app.imagify.io).
Strange your server to can not resolve your host?
dig at the servers of these sites:
;; ANSWER SECTION:
app.imagify.io. 193 IN A 104.21.12.248
app.imagify.io. 193 IN A 172.67.196.199
;; Query time: 0 msec
Do not know if app.imagify.io ips recently proxied by cloudflare,
used to remember 46.30.212.107, maybe this error is connected with it?
2) Bad Gateway, maybe connected with previous as well?
3)Service Unavailable
4) some times last days, while using full license and almost 100% credits, left receiving
message for invalid key (it is 100% correct and placed in wp-config).
At his case i see this error at server logs.
Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: filter_input(): Unknown filter with ID 16777216
this filter is about he license?
When those errors start, cpu usage is going high even at high end server, so i am deleting
transients (in my case actually i flush object cache) in order to stop the bulk optimization
Any idea?
Thank you!
]]>Generating Missing Next-Gen Images Version Stucked
https://prnt.sc/i_3yqG6KruAX
In reference to this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/remove-original-images-3/
The problem is: When I have Resize larger images checked in the settings, and then also have the Disable Big Image code installed (see below), Imagify creates 2 images: an Original image file unchanged + Scaled image file that is sized as the Resize larger images max pixel size settings.
The way this should be working is: No scaled image is created and the Original image is set as the Resize larger images max pixel size settings.
Rather than the scaled image not being created and my original image being resized: The scaled image is being created using the Resize lager image max pixel settings, and the original image is being left alone. It looks like the process is REVERSED. Scaled should not be created. Original should be resized.
add_filter( 'big_image_size_threshold', '__return_false' );
This is no longer working. I have tested it on a few sites. I can confirm this filter code works without Imagify and works properly with other compression plugins like Shortpixel.
]]>When I activate the plugin I notice that the
Images in variable products are not displayed, when you deactivate the plugin the images of variable products are displayed perfectly, how can I correct this?
I noticed this closed support thread and wondered if there is a workaround without modifying core files.
Perhaps a conditional can be made to know when images are being searched versus accessed in media library?
Are we able to rewrite the function and replace it from within functions.php?

]]>Hello,
I am using the <picture> tag to load images in next-gen formats. This works perfectly for images that load during the initial page load.
However, I am encountering an issue with images that are loaded via AJAX when using the “Load More” functionality on my portfolio grid. These images do not appear in the next-gen format (e.g., WebP) but instead revert to the original formats (e.g., JPEG or PNG).
To load the images, I am using the wp_get_attachment_image() function, which should ideally generate the <picture> tag with both WebP and fallback formats for all image requests. This works well initially, but fails to apply during the AJAX calls.
Details of the Current Setup:
? Using <picture> tag to load images in next-gen formats.
? Images are correctly output in next-gen formats on initial page load using wp_get_attachment_image().
? The “Load More” button triggers an AJAX call via admin-ajax.php to fetch additional portfolio items.
? The images loaded through this AJAX request are not being served in the next-gen format, even though they are being loaded with wp_get_attachment_image().
My Question:
Is there a way to ensure that images loaded via AJAX using wp_get_attachment_image() are also served in the next-gen formats? How can I make sure that AJAX-loaded images get the same optimization as those loaded initially?
Thank you,
Almost all images were optimized with avif. Just 26 images where remaining.
I decided to use bulk optimize to do the remaining. Suddenly The tool only said about 50% where done.
Some extra product pictures no longer showed up and I needed to clear cache to fix it.
I have no idea what happened but this is really annoying.
I wonder if this is related to the issue I reported a while ago.
