Hello, Is there a way to add the notify button found on the product page on the product cards in the catalog/shop page as well?
This project was last updated on 9 February 2021 and tested only up to WordPress 5.6.10.
Has this project been abandoned? If so, is there any alternative project that is better maintained?
I worry about potential security risks with outdated code.
The plugin seems to be working, but I am not receiving the test email (or back in stock email). It shows in my mailcatcher plugin as being sent, but it’s not landing in my inbox (or spam). I’ve tried it to several different emails in case one has a higher level of spam filter, but none has worked.
Hi Frank
Thanks for the InStock Mailer plugin, are there options to collect anonymous names and company names along with their e-mail addresses? Would like to configure the plugin to accept those data as well.
Thank you very much.
Best regards
Mak
Hi, I would like to know if it is possible to link the people who opted for “out of stock” notification can be put on a separate list in MailChimp, or does it go directly to the main default list?
Hi, love the plugin. There are a few products on my store that won’t be ever returning, so it would be great to have the option to hide the out of stock button on them, perhaps as a setting in the plugin. Or perhaps there is a way to do it via a wordpress filter?
First of all, I have to say that I absolutely love this plugin. It works great and users are very happy to leave their email, which is great.
The problem I face is that each time the plugin is (briefly) deactivated to do debugging, all existing mail requests are removed and cant be recovered.
Is there a way to get it to permanently store the requests in the database and not wipe them on a new activation?
I noticed that the plugin has not received a single update in a long while, is it abandoned?
Hi there
I’m very happy with this plug-in.
Is it possible to add an export option for a list of requested products
Thank you again.

Robert
Hi team,
Firstly great plugin and functionality!
I am able to get your plugin to work well with variation based products out of the box, however on single product items the functionality doesn’t work/ show.
For reference I am using DIVI Builder.
Cheers
Hi there,
I would like to suggest to add the ability for shop managers to read the pending subscribers and send; so just changing the register functioin from manage_options
to manage_woocommerce
, should allow shop managers to see the send and pending notifications!
Hi,
I use Polylang for Woocommerce, But I can’t seem to translate the text on the button (and preferably the email content too). Any way to fix this?
Thank you
Marjolein
Hi, I really like your plugin it’s nice and simple, no bloat ?? What I’d suggest as a feature is a simpler signup form, that is I’d love if the email field would be visible right from the start, rather than after pressing the button (perhaps a checkbox to enable it in settings).
Is this plugin on github? I’d love to contribute.
I implemented your plugin in the staging environment of this site and it worked without issue. I implemented in live (duplicate environment) and I’m seeing a red border around the email address when trying to subscribe and the console has a 401 error to address:
https://worldofpots.com/wp-json/in-stock-mailer/v1/product/2686
Any ideas why I could be getting a 401? I’ve tried disabling the security plugin just in case (although its on staging too) but that hasn’t helped
Could really do with some help. Thanks.
**UPDATE**
I’ve noticed that im not able to send test emails either, something that also works fine in staging. Im seeing the error:
Please check your email configuration!
You must install and configure an email provider to use this plugin.
This site sends about a hundred emails a day without issue. Totally confused.
Hello. I manage my orders using a FB bot. I need to generate a direct link to the Notify button and, if possible, also to the Submit button
Hey, just like the back in stock mailer for email works, can we incorporate sms via twilio ? so when they click on the notify, the customer can enter an email and/or number?
Thanks.
Your plugin is awesome! Can you please add the option to set a tag to each lead that passes to Mailchimp? I would like to know who is interested in order to build a funnel.
Documentation is here: https://mailchimp.com/developer/marketing/api/list-member-tags/add-or-remove-member-tags/
Thank you very much!!!
Hi Frank. because i like your plugin a lot, and i hope you add the features i requested (so i can properly use it and recommend it).
I have made a new logo for you, so your plugin looks more professional ??
Here you can download it and use it:
The first has white background and the latter transparent.
The settings says if the user is not logged-in, the notify button will show a little form.
But i don’t even see the notify me button when i am not logged.
??
Hi Frank, the link to cancel the alert to the product you have subscribed is hardcoded.
And my site is not in english, so my users do not understand what is that.
Can it be changeable on the settings?
The sender’s name of the emails is WordPress, there should be a way to change it, or at least use the Store’s name.
Also, the sender’s email is wordpress@[your_store_name].com
That also should be changeable, or at least noreply@[your_store_name].com
What do you think? It is possible?
Hi Frank, my site is not in english, so it is weird for my customers to see: Hello their name.
The Hello is hardcoded, and i should be able to change it.
So maybe leave all the body of the email to be configurable by the user and add {customer name} as a tag to be used.
??
Hi Frank, i have noticed that your plugin send an email with a header picture and you recommend it to have an specific size.
Why don’t you change the CSS of the img of the email, and set it to:
img.CToWUd{
display: block;
margin: auto;
}
And eliminate the width: 100%;
So it will center any picture size ??
Hi,
I’m trying your plugin with DIVI theme but I have no luck. I set up a product and one of the variation is out of stock so the button should appear when I click it. I also use Variation Swatches for WooCommerce and I let the user click the out of stock product.Any known issue with this theme? Something I can check twice?
Thank you
Apparently WordPress put my plugin offline for a few days following a trademark issue.
Beside I have never claimed implicitly or explicitly to have any affiliation with Woocommerce, I was told to remove any logo reference to it. I believe this to be ridiculous since this is a free and open source project that has absolutely no commercial purpose.
Anyway, this is just a brief explanation on what happened.
Hi, we use your plugin and it’s awesome but for the EU GDPR we need to add 2 flags 1 for the privacy document and the other to accept newsletter, HTML will be
I Accept thePrivacy
I Accept Newsletter
how we can add 2 flags without lost plugin updates?
thanks a lot
Product is out of stock so the notify me button is shown. Click notify me button and refresh “Pending Alerts” page and see item added as IN STOCK (Awaiting Email Delivery).
One thing that is weird is if I turn off “Group by Email address and status.”, then the Status is shown as OUT OF STOCK.
Hi there, I hop you’re doing great !
A customer (who’s also a developper) reported that the back in stock notification doesn’t work and create a 403 error. Here is the message :
I get a 403 error. Here are the details, you can give them to your webmaster and he should be able to diagnose the problem.

Hi there, I hope you’re doing great.
I have a question about new potential functionality.
I use for CSS styling and for hiding the out of stock products variations a plugin (so the visitor can only select the available variations). But, because of that, I lose a lot of potential size/color requests.
Maybe you could create a code that takes the out of stock variations into a dropdown list or something, in order to make a request for the out of stock variations ?
I know it can sound weird because it’s possible to just show all variations. But it’s pretty confusing to check the variations 1 by 1 to find the one you want (it happens that on 50 different sizes I have only 4 of them).
I think you got me.
Let me know what you’re thinking about that. I didn’t find that functionality with other plugins.
Hi Frank
Have installed your plugin an integrated it with mailchimp. I can see my store but which audience list will the subscribers go to? OR
How can we add/specify that?
Can you please advise.
Thanks
