Hi,
The inactive user deleter tool does not show user roles, and if I select “Subscriber” as a filter, no results are being found – So I fear, that also the automatic deletion of inactive subscribers will not work, and I definitly want to delete inactive subscribers only.
What can I do?
Thanx, Chono
Hi,
it will be perfect to can select and delete all users that have not a woocommerce order.
After a spam attack, thousands of users remain in the database and this is a perfect filter to select and erase them.
I also see that after a spam attack a good way to select spam user is select only Users that have not name but only username.
Another important factor is the possibility to select users who have never logged in.
I think combining these factors in a filter gives us the possibility to select and delete malicious users.
I have this excellent looking plug in ‘inactive user deleter’ but I’m struggling to figure out what best flags and filters to apply.
Simply not logging in and not posting doesn’t necessarily mean they’re any kind of problem, does it? They could be quite good persons who only view, never post.
They’re all ‘active’ meaning they’ve done the email register thing: they’ve replied to the email.
I suppose you could say they’re not doing me any harm so why worry? But I’ve had the list grow to the thousands and all spurious, quite clearly.
Anyone else use this plugin? Can recommend settings?
A closely related thing: I would like to require of new registrants that they email me with an email of their own composition. That’s how I would like to do it. And I thought perhaps I could edit the automatic registration email but I can’t find how to do that.
Any help on implementing that ‘feature’ would be much appreciated. ??
Hello Plugin Support,
I have used your plugin for remove specific role user.
I have added some user and give role as customer. (https://prnt.sc/2-oA8pDqcIxG)
And In Trial users tab I have set trial user as customer and set 1 days for delete this user.(https://prnt.sc/I3pv7ZAQ2uRo)
But, I checked today that the users are not deleted.
So can you please check for this and update you asap.
Thank you
The age-old issue of getting rid or Pending users. Any idea?
Hello,
When deleting a lot of users (hundreds), the WordPress Admin page times out (and no other functions or tools respond). There is also no progress indicator to indicate how far along the process is complete.
This plug-in requires some type of time or process management to share resources when deleting user accounts. It should also either have a progress bar or some output showing how many (and perhaps which) users are successfully processed.
NOTE: This issue may be a result of Ultimate Member trying to send notification emails upon deletion.
In addition, when there are more than 150 records, there is no way to view the next 150 records except for increasing the Max Size Output. There is also no way to reverse sort for Last Log-In to show the earliest date first.
Thank you!
Hello again. I tried to donate to you, but I cannot do this. I cannot process a payment to Russian Rubles. I also do not have Bitcoin. Is it the only way you can receive payment?
Question: What method does this plug-in use to disable an account? As you know, there are several plug-ins which offer this feature. Which one might it emulate? I mentioned earlier that I am using “Disable User Login” and it has its way to set disable. Would your plug-in make the same setting? How can I verify this?
Thank you!
Hello and thank you for taking the time to create a very useful plug-in. Although, I feel it could use one more feature to make it “compatible” with all the other plugins out there which disable or record log-in data.
For the flags, I wonder if you could add an advanced configuration which allows input of a table, database field, and value to search. For example, I would like to specify the table, key, and data to match if an account is disabled:
Table: wp_usermeta
Key: meta_key = ‘_is_disabled’
AND
Data: meta_value = ‘0’
Is this possible? The reason is because even though I select “NO” for the Disabled Flag, it is still finding disabled accounts.
Perhaps you can create an “Advanced” settings page which lists all the data currently used to search each Flag, then we can add/edit as needed?
Otherwise, you’ll have to continue to add compatibility for future plugins such as “Disable User Login” (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-user-login)
What do you think? Perhaps it’s a bit unsafe to add this feature as it’s potentially dangerous to inexperienced page manager, but I would certainly like to have it. Or, perhaps instructions for adding these via “Snippets”?
Also, for clarity, I think the Flags should be rewritten as (in this column order):
“User has…” “…approved comments” : YES : NO : IGNORE
Ahoy,
Thanks for the plugin.
The title pretty much sums it up. Searching for inactive users (flag one without posts) works fine and lists ~20k users. Next, I mark all, and click delete all marked users->Yes, I really… OK-> ..very serious… 985 Users will be deleted.
I take it the this is already hinted at by the “PHP allows you sent only 1000 input vars.” But still, why can I list 5k inactive users or even all 20k and also mark all of them but then only 985 are being deleted?
Cheers
Hi Shra,
Wordfence is flagging version 1.5.8 or older as vulnerable. Please confirm that you are aware of this and plan a fix ASAP.
TIA,
Graham
Hi, I recently had to disable this plugin because my customer didn’t want emails sending automatically to inactive users. Can you tell me if this function can be turned off but still be able to use the plugin?
I have 13,000 customer user types on my site. I want to delete all those that have not logged in the past year. However, when I filter it returns ‘no users are found’. I just installed this plugin. Why is this?
The wordfence scan I performed on my client’s site today flagged this plugin as being abandoned, since it hasn’t been updated in a very long time. Please confirm it is abandoned or not.
Thanks.
Are the accounts automatically deleted after XX days?
Hi,
Is there a way to move the user data of the user to be deleted, to another user automaticly ?
In my case there is data that is handy to keep when a user is removed.
Realy kind regards,
Daniel ??
Hello Shra,
Cool plugin! I am wondering if it would be posssible to add the ability to send a custom email to users x days before their account will be deleted? For example if I want users to be deleted after no login for 90 days I can send an email at 80 days to notify the user their account will be deleted and that they need to log in in the next 10 days to keep the account active.
thanks!
Hello,
we just installed your plugin to delete inactive users. However we have no roles in the list if we filter the users. See here https://imgur.com/a/VZk7Ai1 And every user on our site must have and has some role so it’s wrong…?
Hi Shra!
I miss in your great plugin a button to return a user’s posts to the published state, if previously these posts have been marked as draft.
Do you think it might be possible to implement it?
Bests Regards
Hi, unfortunately the plugin is not useful for some web shops since we have Guest Checkout available. It seems that some regulars will check out with the email that they’ve registered an account with, without actually signing in. So I would hate to remove active users who are too lazy to log in.
If it’s possible to implement something like last order placed with this email, that could help sites that run WooCommerce. We can then safely assume if they’ve never logged in and never placed an order, they’re likely spam accounts. Just an idea.
Hi Shra,
I believe that in your last update, the blocking of users has stopped working.
If I mark a user, and block it, then if I try to access with this user, I continue accessing.
I hope you can fix this bug.
Best Regards.
Hi SHRA, I’m still using your plugin, it works very well! Congratulations!
I thought, it would be very useful if you could search for a specific user. It would be to include a text field to enter the name of the user.
Do you think it is possible?
kind regards
Filtering ONLY for subscribers returns zero results, even though I have hundreds of them. They all appear if role is set to all, then vanish again when role is set to subscribers.
Hi,
Can you please get some extra info in the settings please like this: https://prnt.sc/u0l2rq
Thank you
Your plugin is great and it works very well!
I have a request for you if you have time and it’s possible.
I think it would be very useful if you add a button, to export to a .csv file the list of inactive users.
Kind Regards ??
I use the “When Last Login” plugin:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/when-last-login/
I think yours must not be compatible because when I search for users who last logged in x days or before I get no results.
See the screenshot above. The column Last log-in doesn’t show a date. I use wordfence and ithemes securtiy and user login history plugins to track login time. So I’m not sure what the issue is.
I’m interested in this plugin but I’m wondering how you use the role numbers to for the Find & Wipe > Filters section? You’re documents only indicate “10 for Administrator” and “0 for nobody” but WordPress doesn’t use numbering any longer.
How does this still work?
Hi,
I would be looking for an automation to delete trial users after *days. The trial users have a designated user role, so any user below admin could be safely deleted after *days of registration, without any notice.
Would it be possible to automatically delete these ‘trial’ users with your plugin? and will all data linked to their user account also be wiped? (that would be desired)
Would be ideal, sooo close I can smell the cigar ??
Lock account of inactive users instead of deleting? (for admin to review) ..how do i do this??
