Currently IndexNow does not submit translation urls when first creating a translation (but only submits the English version).

I want it submit this url: https://udumbara.org/de/contact/

But when re-entering the translation at ATE (Advanced Translation Editor from WPML) from the second time onwards and pressing “complete translation”, IndexNow will submit the url of the translation (https://udumbara.org/de/contact/).

I just installed IndexNow on my wordpress site, but I’m getting a message in my Bing webmaster tools insights area that IndexNow isn’t adopted on my website. I just installed and activated the plugin – am I missing some step? Thanks for any help.

Do I need the IndexNow plugin if I have the Bing Webmaster plugin? They appear to do the same thing just look slightly different. Which one should I keep?

The last 3 days I’ve had to disable Index Now because when it’s activated it won’t let me edit in Elementor. Is there a fix for this? Please bear in mind I’m quite new to WordPress and web building as a whole. If there is a fix I have to do on my part you may have to speak to me like an 8 year old…

But I get the error message ‘Invalid URL!’ and am unable to manually submit – the button is greyed out.

I assume it’s because top-level domains like .website aren’t supported..

is that correct?

Should I continue to use this plugin?

I see fake (404) links in my IndexNow plugin dashboard. They are of following format:

Is something trying to sabotage my website authority? I heard having 404s ranks you bad. My indexnow settings are set to auto submit URLs. This doesn’t happen when it is manual. What is happening? Can anyone shed light on this issue?

Taking into consideration the fact that this post is 1 year and 3 months old, I would like to ask 2 questions:

• Should I have both plugins installed in my site, this one and Bing URL Submissions Plugin?
• If I’ve already set my Bing’s API key within the Bing URL Submissions Plugin, do I need still to host my API Key within a TXT file at my site’s root directory?
• [Follow-up question] If so, which API Key should I use? I mean, is there a specific IndexNow API key that I’ve got to generate somewhere?

I have installed the plugin but Let’s Get Started button is not working at all. Whenever i clicked on it, nothing happens but i noticed the following console error:

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length') at StartPage.tsx:21:38

and

There are different types of posts on my site, apart from that, a messaging system between members is also installed. When members write messages to each other, the post type is added to the system as a message. indexnow is trying to index these posts as well. By adding the settings tab to the plugin, the post types to be added to the system can be manually selected. Another option is to check the index and no-index tags of the published posts and arrange to never send the pages with no-index value or blocked with robots.txt for indexing.

Example of a few mis-sent urls:

I am setting up a new news publication portal for around a month beginning with wire news articles. Most of my settings have gone through except the ‘Instant Index’ / ‘IndexNow’. I didn’t seen any option to add Google APIs for indexing. How can i make sure that this plugin is fine and sending requests to search engines. Because there is no link it is creating between website and search engine.

Hi All. I have this plug in deployed on 4 wordpress powered websites. Two sites are working fine. When I publish or update content it almost instantly appears in the submitted list in the IndexNow tab at bing webmaster.

However, two sites show that a URL has been submitted correctly in the WP dashboard but in Bing webmaster the URL’s do not appear (even after a 24 hours). Just the default IndexNow info page when you navigate to the IndexNow tab in Bing webmaster tools.

Any ideas or thought about this would be appreciated.

so I got my Bing Webmaster Console setup, and installed the IndexNow plugin. But where do I find the API key for Bing?

I have permalinks set to … /sample-post/

But it is sugmitting.. /?p=123

While looking for something on my site unrelated to this, I noticed the Invalid Api Key message, so I followed the instructions and deactivated it and reactivated it, still not working.

I tried to submit it manually, it still failed. Is this plugin still supported as I noticed someone else is having problems with no response from the developers?

I was trying to translate the plugin, but i found out that there is no strings to translate… please make this plugin translatable.

I just installed this plugin last week on my WordPress install (still running 5.7.2 but it’s stable and works fine). The plugin works fine, no problems, but after a few hours the API Key seems to stop working. For the first few hours after activating the plugin, it shows submitted URLs as successful.” But after about 6-8 hours later, everything changes and then every URL submitted says “Failed – Invalid API Key.” I have to de-activate and activate the plugin againf rom scratch for this to fix itself. If I leave it, it stays this way and then every URL submitted has the “Invalid API Key” error.

Why is this happening? It works fine at first and some URLs DO submit successfully, but then it all changes and I can’t figure out why. There’s no other settings or options or anything else to look at with the plugin. When it’s active, I can’t find any meta in the header of my site showing or listing the API Key. I know I an get API Keys myself from the Bing website, but I can’t add them or change them within the app. What’s going on? Why does this error keep happening day after day after day no matter how many times I re-activate the plugin??

I was using IndexNow through Cloudflare and saw WordPress backend URLs were also being submitted to search engines. Even Robots.tx, WP-Admin, WP-Json etc. Later disabled the Crawl Hint feature from Cloudflare and installed IndexNow plugin. Now I can see similar backend pages are being submitted to Bing (checked in Bing Webmaster). Is it normal? Should I stop using it or anything to control which URLs to submit and which to not!

I activated IndexNow on this site. What now? No way to know what auto submissions the plugin has done? It will show in the Bing WebMaster dashboard? Should I keep submitting manually?
