I also went to the link: https://davidmregister.com/instagram-widget-for-wordpress/ and got the code. but because of the database error, Instagram doesn’t actually approve the app, and therefore you don’t get your pictures.
This plugin is no longer maintained and needs to be removed.

When you clink the link in the widget to get a “token”, you’re redirected to https://instagram.davidmregister.com/ which doesn’t exist. I would’ve expected to be sent to an official Instagram page, not some developers page.

Attention – Please note
In order to make it work with your Instagram Account, you have to get an Access Token via the Plugin Author’s website! (the link inside the widget config is not working):

This is the only “tricky” part about it ??
Beside that, it works great and is really simple to add to your blog. I like it.
