Made my blog crash.

Worked fine for a while, but then my site broke today. My hosting company’s response: “It looks like the instapress plugin was fed after midnight and has spawned a litter of gremlins.”

Its the only plug-in I have connected to Instagram. In my instagram settings it is the only Authorized Application I have.
I now have started following strange people on Instagram that I never authorized. I Suspect (“BUT CANNOT BE DEFINITELY POSITIVE”) this plug-in is an aggregator selling followers to people and logging in with your acct info.
Change Your Password and delete the plug-in.
In your menus just create a link to your Instagram Profile. It’s a better solution any way.

When activating this plugin you’ll get a lot of errors that you need to fix manually before you even get it to work. Like replacing all instances of &$ with $.
With WP debug on you’ll then get some more errors about deprecated features as well.
It does work as expected after fixing all these errors. But it sure would be nice if the plugin got updated (hasn’t been for a year now) to solve all these problems!
Feels a little un-secure and unreliable to use a plugin with this many errors.

This plugin uses the deprecated php call-time pass-by-reference so it will throw a fatal error if you are using php4. I have fixed this issue in my local copy but unfortunately the author seems to not keep an online repo where I can submit my pull request.
Simply fix the above issue and this plugin is great.
For those having the same problem replace all instances of &$
with $
.

Really simple instagram plugin, all the basic features you want, none of the complexity you need.

Even if it’s old and says it’s only compatible up to 3.3, I’m using it at 3.5 and it’s working, easy and quick to setup, I had trouble with other Instagram plugins such as Simply Instagram or Easy Instagram and this one works.

The code is using a php feature deprecated since 2004 and which has been a known issue and unpatched for a year. I would stay away from this.

Nice plugin, if there are more options like choosing which image to show on site that would be great.

Using the lastest version of WordPress I found this plugin to be unreliable. Firstly because I have to type in my Instagram user credentials in the WordPress backend to do xAuth, which isn’t the way xAuth is supposed to work. Secondly because the entire backend portion of the plugin wouldn’t work on a test server. There all the options were wrapped in an <a href>
linking to the WordPress codex for permissions. Also, the checkboxes for the settings didn’t work.

This plugin does exactly what I need.

Did exactly what I needed and got it working in under 1 minute. Just a few suggestions:
1) Have an admin notice to inform the user he needs to authenticate to instragram so the plugin will actually work. I had no idea I had to enter my credentials until I went to the settings page
2) Have a better way to auth with instagram? Having to enter the username password is a bit insecure and when setting up client sites I dont really want to ask them for their password. Is there no oauth alternative?

This plugin, supports any functionality of the Instagram API. A really convenient way to display Instagrams on a blog.

This plugin is a very nice plugin and does exactly what it should, the only thing I wish that it had was a “button” at the bottom of the sidebar widget that would link to the user Instagram.
I know if you disable the fancybox effect the image itself will link directly to their Instagram, but it would be nice if there was just a button at the bottom of the widget. Even without this, this is still the best Instagram plugin I’ve found.
I just found a new plugin which is strictly for the button called Instagram Badges, but does not offer photos in the widget. Combining Instapress with Instagram Badges would create the perfect Instagram WordPress plugin.

The best for instagram

This plugin does exactly what I needed it to do. For a new Shoe store I wanted to be able to display some recent Instagram pics in a widget area. After trying others, this one allowed me to very quickly and easily accomplish my goal, some others were much more difficult and required a ton of hoop jumping to get going.
