Is this abandoned?
It appears to have become less effective since the latest Jetpack update. The modules still don’t load, but Jetpack fires off a constant stream of Ajax requests forthe blocked modules.
This Ajax optimizer from the good people at Advanced Ads lets you block the Jetpack requests. It doesn’t seem to effect the stats, but I’ve only recently used it for Jetpack after experiencing a sudden increase in CPU use.
]]>How is this plugin different from jetpack with only the 2 modules active?
]]>Hi,
thanks for this nice plugin!
I just found out that it causes a very long delay (about 10 seconds) to redirections (307) created with Pretty Link. Everything works fine, except for that delay. If I disable JL (but leave JetPack on), no delay.
I’d love to keep using your plug in… I hope you’ll have a change to have a look at this issue.
Thanks again
]]>Hi, how can i leave Jetpack subscriptions enabled?
Thanks for this great plugin.
]]>Hai, would you share with me the difference between using this jetpack lite with disabling the modules manually in the context of wordpress performance? Thanks.
]]>Just updated the plugin and crashed my whole site
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_plugin_active() in /home/content/26/11868026/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack-lite/jetpack-lite.php on line 12
had to go in to my hosting provider account and delete the plugin root folder to gain access back to my site!
others be careful before updating, what may happens to your site will scare a novice webmaster.
hopefully a fix will come soon so I can re-install this plugin
]]>Hi there,
Using your plugin on my site and I’m getting the following error occurring at regular 7 day intervals in my error_log.
PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_active_modules() on a non-object in /wp-content/plugins/jetpack-lite/class.jetpack-heartbeat.php on line 76
Researching myself, it’s an issue that was fixed in the core Jetpack here a few months ago: https://plugins.trac.www.ads-software.com/changeset/753642
Will this be incorporated into Jetpack Lite in an update?
Thanks,
Chris
Hello,
Currently I am using the original, non JetPack version of Stats (version 1.8.5) and would like to know the procedure to install this but keep the historical data (in case there is procedure to do so)? Do I deactivate the old stats plugin before activating this one so things do not become confused?
I looked at that JetPack.. and yeah, lot of crap just to use 1 item within it.
Thanks,
Mark H.
Hi
Is this plugin compatible with Slim Jetpack?
I want to use it only for stats.
Thanks
]]>Have not been receiving any click stats for over 30 days, any updates or lack of causing this?
]]>OMG..u cannot how happy for me to find this LITE version ~ it has the two items that i want only which is the Stats and the Top Post & Pages ~ but i am getting this when i put the widget in the sidebar:

THANK YOU SO MUCH Samuel

]]>Hi Samuel,
I love this plugin, it solved my problem with the full version one which caused conflict to my website with other plugins.
Is there any option to select not to count the website owner when click to see his/her own website?
Thanks
Alek
Hello Samuel,
Thank you for the great plugin. I have been using it on all of my sites for a long time now.
I’m using a Galaxy S2 and an iPhone5 with the Official WordPress App installed on both.
The droid version seems to work fine with no issues.
The Apple App version has started giving giving me the following error after the last update when I try to visit the Stats page.
“Jetpack 1.8.2 or later is required for stats. Tap below and search for ‘Jetpack’ to install it on your site”
I have tried a number of things to try and make Jetpack-lite work, but with no luck.
For a couple of sites, I disabled Jetpack-lite and installed the standard version of Jetpack and I can now see my stats again on these sites.
I’m unsure where the issue lies, but was hopefull that maybe you would have time to take a look at the issue and see if you are able to resolve it please?
I still prefer your lite version over the official version and would love to see it updated to avoid this limitation.
Thank you,
=-)
Hi Samuel,
I know Jetpack Lite is supposed to have less features than Jetpack, but since this plugin is used by people only for the Stats (and it only does that), how about adding a sidebar widget to display stats in the front-end?
The official plugin already has this, so if you could add the feature in Lite, it would be really great.
]]>Hi,
I’d to to be able to have the Stats show up in the dashboard for the lesser roles, other than the Admin. Is it possibly when logged in as a Contributer for those users to see the stats?
]]>I’m sure I’m probably missing the nine million other posts that request the same thing. But… well, I missed ’em.
It would be nice to specify which custom menu to use. My main menu is really not appropriate for a mobile version.
]]>Hi
I originally set up my website with 2 installations of WordPress, one in the root and the other in /blog. That didn’t really work out for me, so I recently merged the 2 together, but now jetpack lite stats have stopped working and I wondered if there was a way to fix it?
How can I “reset” to now collect statistics for my entire site and at the same time, hopefully, merge my historic stats from the 2 installations together and include them in my on running total. Any help anyone can give would be really appreciated.
Cheers
Bob
]]>Hi, does this plugin serve third party cookies from Quantcast? Thanks.
]]>Hi, your plugin makes alot of sense and is exactly what I was looking for!
Installed it on one site – works beautifully
Installed on 2nd site (on exact same server) – get this error: Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 503]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/
Any ideas?
]]>I currently run the full Jetpack on my site but only use the Stats and Shortcode Embeds modules. I’d gladly swap for Jetpack Lite but the shortcodes (audio/video/polls) are all across my site and I can’t find an alternative that would work out of the box. I don’t particularly care for Jetpack as it’s bloated and plays havoc with my database.
Are there any plans to fork Jetpack again to separate any of the other features? I’d gladly make a donation for a standalone shortcode plugin that does everything that Jetpack’s Shortcode Embeds module does.
]]>there’re many name that can use
i think you no need to bold many text “NOTE…”, “IMPORTANT…” etc.. if you use plugin name that dont make people get confused at the first time they visit
]]>First of all, thanks for the great plugin! I wanted to use the new interface for WordPress.com Stats but didn’t like all the extra bloat from the official Jetpack plugin.
The official plugin takes the Akismet links and places them into the Jetpack menu. These are links to Akismet Configuration (normally under Plugins) and the Akismet Stats (normally under Dashboard). However, since Jetpack Lite doesn’t have a Jetpack menu, these Akismet links are missing.
I don’t mind the missing links because I absolutely do not want a Jetpack menu. I saved the URLs to the Akismet pages anyway.
However, when visiting the direct URL of the Akismet Stats page (wp-admin/index.php?page=akismet-stats-display), I get “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” The Akismet Configuration page works fine though.
I can access the page fine with the official Jetpack plugin.
Thanks.
]]>When I applied the Jetpack update, I could no longer create or edit blog posts. I uninstalled Jetpack and the problem went away.
]]>First of all, congratulations for your work. We are using your plugin in almost all our clients.
For your information, we have found that in BuddyPress the permission selector is not working. Only the super-administrator can see the stats.
]]>Hello Samuelaguilera,
I was wondering if you might be interested in adding the following feature to the plugin too.
I would love to see the “Site Stats” menu link return to the “Dashboard” section and then the “Jetpack” Menu Item go to the bottom of the menu bar.
I don’t agree with WordPress, that “Jetpack” as a menu item is that important, and that moving the “Site Stats” item is UI greedy, only done to encourage use of the Jetpack menu.
Thank you for doing something about Jetpack.
=-)
Nice work by the author of this Jetpack Lite plugin. Appreciate the time to remove the extra code and other stuff.
