HI..
I want to use your plugin.
but now its not longer available.
Could you please send me zip file of plugin
I will really appreciate.
]]>Hi –
Read with dismay you’re no longer distributing “Join My Multisite” — has it become obsolete, is there another option?
Would appreciate advice whether we should be incorporating this into sites moving forward.
Thanks
]]>Hi – thanks for this lifesaving plugin; I’m surprised how few installs there are but lets keep it our little secret…
and speaking of secrets…
Hoping you might help me to understand how we can restrict access to a subsite based on user role.
ie — I’ve got a subsite for Support mysite.com/supportsubsite/
I sell and assign a user role on the mainsite, paidsupportpatron
how can I allow paidsupportpatron user role access to mysite.com/supportsubsite/ and restrict other users from accessing it, or more ideally send them to a landing page telling them nah nah nah..gotta go subscribe… ?
I can’t find an explanation on this and thought this might be the place for enlightenment
Thanks
]]>Good morning,
I have a problem to make “Join My Multisite” work. I installed the plug-in correctly. It is activated on the network. In the network setting, I had the message “Join My Multisite requires user registration to be enabled. Please enable that in your Registration Settings to continue.”. So I activated “User accounts may be registered” and save. The alert then disappeared. From that moment on, I edit my registration page by adding the code[join-my-multisite] and publish the page. But when I go to the registration page, I get the following message “Greetings Network Administrator! You are currently allowing “user” registrations. To change or disable registration go to your Options page.”. I tried to put in the network options, the settings below: “Logged in users may register new sites” and “Both sites and user accounts can be registered” without more success. Will anyone know how to fix the problem so I can use the plug-in?
I tested this plugin on a dev server and it worked great, but now that it’s in production, the auto-add option is not adding new users. The main differences between the dev and productions servers are that the production server has mapped domains, SSL, and this line in wp-config. I looked at this thread about mapped domains, but that doesn’t seem to be a known issue.
The problem is:
– A user logs in to site1.com. The user then goes to site2.com, but no user is created.
– The plugin is Network Activated. At site2.com > Users > Join My Multisite, ‘Automatic’ is selected.
What could I be missing?
]]>I am attempting to use this with my multisite but one of my sub-sites appears to continually mark users as spammers when they link from my main site to the sub-site. Please advise how to avoid this.
]]>Hi there,
just see that this plugin was updated 3 days ago, could you kindly update the changelog and say what has been updated etc..
Thank you.
]]>Hello!
I will explain my scenario so you’ll better understand my questions below.
My project’s setup consists of 5 websites serving different services built with different themes and plugins and installed as sub-domains in the multisite network as follows:
mysite.com -> main website, landing page
site1.mysite.com -> e-learning platform (user roles: student / instructor)
site2.mysite.com -> job portal (user roles: candidate / employer)
site3.mysite.com -> community (user roles: subscriber, author. Users will be able to post content from front-end, vote, comment, edit open lists, etc)
site4.mysite.com -> multi-vendor marketplace (using Dokan, user roles: buyer / seller)
I will also have blog.mysite.com (don’t want to give my users the option to comment, so that’s a relative simple task to do)
What I don’t understand from the documentation and other topics and comments of this plugin are the following things:
1. Can I install and run Join My Multisite from a sub-domain (connected to the main website)? Eg: app.mysite.com where all the login / register buttons from all the websites within the network are redirected? In other words:
User lands on site4.mysite.com decides to register an account. Clicks the button “register” and he is redirected to app.mysite.com where he will register a new account. After that, also from app.mysite.com he will login. After login, he will see a page with all the services that I offer so he will be able to navigate to site4.mysite.com (or any-other sub-website from the network. If the user wants to buy a font or a logo from site4.mysite.com, he will go there, if he wants to search for a job, he will go to site2.mysite.com and to learn something new he will go to site1.mysite.com).
When he will land on any of the sub-websites, he will be already logged in (since he logged in on app.mysite.com) Is this correct?
Basically, all the accounts are created from app.mysite.com and also all the users will login from that link.
I know that I can only assign 1 (one) role to each account so when a new user will be created he will have these roles:
For site1.mysite.com -> student
site2.mysite.com -> candidate
site3.mysite.com -> subscriber (the only role for that sub-website)
site4.mysite.com -> buyer
IF the user wants to create courses and earn money from selling courses on site1.mysite.com he will send a form to admin and ask for that role. Same goes if he wants to post jobs and hire people for his project or become a seller for digital stuff like fonts, logos, etc.
Did I get all the things correct? If not, please help me find the best setup that will work for what I need to achieve.
I need all these services together under one roof.
I’m not a developer so it’s hard for me to use just one website with all the plugins for each of the feature that I want.
This is a personal project if this matters. It’s not a client project and I won’t earn any profits from this project. It’s a philanthropic project designed to help people.
Thank you!
]]>Hi I′d like to ask you if there is a way to keep the user role with Auto-Add option?
Thank you very much!
]]>So here is my situation.
I have a multisite setup I run. I recently switched over from a single site to allow me to create subdomains. The reason for this is the subdomains will offer my sales opportunities.
My main site is a trade magazine, I do not allow comments, but will have a drop shipping woocommerce store on it in the next few weeks. One of my subdomains will be a woocommerce job site. Another subdomain will allow vehicle owners to sell their vehicles (via ads).
All of these sites are related. By installing this plugin, will subscribers of the main site be able to post a job or run an ad without having to sign up at each site/subdomain?
Also I plan to offer an affiliate program which will cover all of these different sites, again, I want them to only have to sign up once.
At no point will I be selling sites, so nobody will become admins.
Hope this is enough information for you to see what I am looking for. I look forward to your response.
]]>Hi,
great plugin!
I’m on a multi network & BP Multi Network wordpress.
I need that users registered on a network can’t join sites on other networks.
Is this my plugin?
If not, do you have an idea of something that can work?
Thanks for your attention.
Regards,
Francesco
When installing this plugin on my multisite network and using to link from my sub-site (experts.myenclave.com) to my main-site (myenclave.com) there is an issue. It appears to create a new account for the user visiting the main site, however, it displays an error that the registration has not been accepted yet. When I attempt the opposite; logging from myenclave.com to the sub-domain it does not appear to do anything.
My support team at WPMUDEV looked into the issue and determined there may be a conflict between this plugin and the user registration/login framework used by one or both of my themes.
1. Are you aware of any conflicts that occur with websites which use themes that use their own login systems?
2. Are they any changes or settings that can be adjusted to possibly get this to work?
3. Can you provide any support for setting this up with my site?
Any support will be greatly appreciated!
]]>Hi,
I found one topic on this theme but is closed… and I am not sure if it is resolved.
I have problem that “Join this site” button does not appear.
I do following:
– on WP multisite I succesfully add Join my Multisite plugin
– I add widget on subsite Site1
– under settings of this plugin I choose MANUAL – I wish to have button “Join this site”- allow signed in users to join via widget… (so when registered user comes on site)
– on Main site I login with userA which is not member of Site1 and go to Site1
– there is no button “Join this site” but message Nice to see you again – under site admin panel I see userA is automatically added under list of users (so this works like as if I under settings choosen “Automatic” – Auto-add signed in users to this site when they visit
What I set wrong?
How must I set that:
– userA can visit subsite site1 (one or more times) but he is not added to site user list
– when userA click “Join this site”, userA is added to this site user list
Kind regards
]]>I’m having an interesting problem that I’m not sure how to resolve.
First let me say thank you for contributing this application to the WP community, this plugin has been on and off my radar for some time now and I was referred to it by another one of your users who uses it on several networks.
The problem I’m experiencing is ‘Logging In’ when a user returns. I’ve activated the plugin and set it up to take advantage of the widget to manage adding visitors to each of our subsites. I have the “show in-line login form activated but after logging out and returning the login form is not letting me log in which I understand may be a conflict with another plugin but not sure how to determine which.
I’m assuming (of course) that by checking that box it’s supposed to make it possible to log back into the subsite without logging into the main site which is what I have to do right now.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
]]>This solves a longstanding problem I have where users of my Multisite/Network may want to join select sub-sites. I’m using it in conjunction with UserPro from DeluxeThemes/CodeCanyon. I don’t expect the author of JMM to know anything about one of hundreds of membership plugins out there, but I am wondering this:
Does Join my Multisite work WITHOUT the shortcode? I want users to “Allow signed in users to join via a widget or the shortcode” as it says in the JMM settings for each site’s Users menu, but I need the widget/shortcode to have a few more options, which the UserPro plugin already lets me do. Is there a way to tell if the UserPro shortcode will give JMM the information it needs? UserPro DOES create WordPress users in a similar fashion to the default WordPress sign up form, just with more options.
TL;DR: I need a countries field for my Join/Register form and don’t know the best way to add it when I have a plugin that already has the form I need; I just need JMM for the per-site registration bit.
]]>I want to keep the user on the subsite they have selected. I read a post here about “fixing” lost password linking back to the main site rather than the subdomain targeted. Your referral was to the following code which was to go into the mu-plugins folder. In what form does it go into it? I’ve tried just as a file called login_redirect.php but it does nothing
<?php
function ds_login_redirect( $redirect_to, $request_redirect_to, $user )
{
if ($user->ID != 0) {
$user_info = get_userdata($user->ID);
if ($user_info->primary_blog) {
$primary_url = get_blogaddress_by_id($user_info->primary_blog) . ‘wp-admin/’;
if ($primary_url) {
wp_redirect($primary_url);
die();
}
}
}
return $redirect_to;
}
add_filter(‘login_redirect’,’ds_login_redirect’, 100, 3);
?>
A user enters cle-france.bell-computing.com and logsin but instead of going to the home page as they entered they get taken to the wp dashboard.
]]>BugI select “manual” and registered is allow, why the page say “Registration has been disabled.”
Thank you
Hello and thank you for time and work.
We are testing the plugin on a multisite together with your other scripts “Multisite Emails and Redirects” found at: https://halfelf.org/2016/multisite-redirect-registrtation-per-site/
For some reason we get an PHP notice on the login screen:
PHP Notice: Undefined property: WP_Error::$ID in /wp-content/mu-plugins/multisite-registration.php on line 99
Line 99 corresponds to the second line of the code “Redirect Logins to Their Site”:
add_filter('login_redirect', function ( $redirect_to, $request_redirect_to, $user ) {
if ($user->ID != 0) {
$user_info = get_userdata($user->ID);
if ($user_info->primary_blog) {
$primary_url = get_blogaddress_by_id($user_info->primary_blog) . 'wp-admin/';
if ($primary_url) {
wp_redirect($primary_url);
die();
}
}
}
return $redirect_to;
}, 100, 3);
I understand it is only a notice, but it shows right up on the login screen and looks really bad.
Could you please help?
thank you in advance
marikamitsos
I need to make several of my sites accessible only to registered users, this looked perfect.
I have just configured jmm but anyone can still access the site without logging in.
I directed jmm to a page https://cle-france.bell-computing.com/join-my-multisite/ which if I put that url in a clean browser it shows a page to create a new user. But it doesn’t show otherwise. Have I misunderstood how this works? Do I need something else to force login?
]]>Hi,
This is my first topic/post here and I hope I’m not braking any rules.
My project is both philanthropical and revolutionary. We do not reinvent the wheel, we just analyzed the business plans of the best websites in each web development field (envato, freelancer etc) and took all the good aspects from them and exclude all the bad things and come up with a new concept. I would love to tell you more but not in a public place.
Anyway… here it goes…
Problem data:
I want to setup a wordpress multisite network and install a total of 7 themes (for the start), each of them installed in sub-domains. Each theme will serve a different service (learning platform, marketplace, job board etc). So each theme will follow the same design pattern but different layout and obviously different plugins in order to have dedicated functions / features like: (on the learning platform, there will be two types of account: teacher and student, each with different dashboard. Teachers will also be able to create courses from front-end. Same story for the marketplace: “You want to sell or you want to buy?”)
Users should register from one place, so I thought to redirect each “register / login” button from all the websites in the network to the Main Website. After a user registers an account, that account should be available across the network.
User registers on Main Site > Logs in on Main Site > Navigate to Site7 from the network > That user will already be logged in, BUT, the first time he enters Site7, he will be asked what type of account (role) he wishes to create for that website. So in other words, users decide what accounts they want and by doing this, it means users are creating custom accounts. I don’t have this multisite network live and I never tested your plugin but as far as I read about you (and also the replies on other topics), you seem to be a good developer and a wonderful person so I hope you’ll accept to get involved.
I would like very much to have a small chat with you on Skype (I know you often decline this but I hope I got your attention) so I can give you more details about the project.
If this will work, we’re going to be funded.
I purchased most of my themes from the marketplace that it’s name begins with “EN” and finishes with “VATO”. I searched for them for about 1 year and I’m pretty sure that the quality is good. Also, bought some plugins for managing users but I have a feeling that I wasted my money (anyway…).
Questions:
1. Can your plugin work like described? After a user registers on one website, will that user be able to login on any website from the network?
2. Is this method automatic? After the settings are made, will the Super Admin (me) have to do something else or the plugin will run in the back and do all the work without human intervention to copy users or things like that?
3. As far as I understand, after they register and login on the Main Website and navigate to another website from the network, they will see a button “Join” and when they click that button, the account will be linked to that website also. Pretty neat stuff. Users will do the job of copying the account credentials instead of the admin (like it was in the past). Am I right?
4. Is there a possibility to add a new feature where the user will be asked what role does he/she wishes to use for that website? If so, can this be handled by the sql to remember what role for what user on what website? Or the role is just one for every websites within the network? If that’s the case, can you help me achieve what I need?
If I wasn’t so sure about getting funded, I wouldn’t waste your time at all with this long post. The future is bright for my project, as long as it will work as I planned. My ace from my sleeve is my business plan and strategy. Not the code itself. We can revolutionize the whole industry of web development agencies, we can improve the quality of the projects, we can deliver an infinite number of websites to clients and we’ll also be able to give smaller prices to clients for better services. We’ll help teenagers all around the world to learn, create and earn money.
All I need right now is a little of your time and willing to hear my idea. I don’t want to share the details with anyone else.

Hello @ipstenu, thanks for your plugin! My website is wordpress multisite + WP multi network + buddypress + BP multi network, now I use the Join My Multisite plugin, can not synchronize users between networks
]]>Is it possible here that member of a site can be transferred to another site ?
]]>Hello,
Great work, thanks.
I am using “Secure invites” (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wordpress-mu-secure-invites/) to limit user registration by email invitation or invitation code, and the registration page will only be visible after user click invitation link or input invitation code. and the only problem is that it alway redirect user to main site registration page.
So I am using “Join My Multisite” for per site registration, it work fine, but the registration page will alway be visible to users even without invitation, anyway to make the registration page invisible for users without invitation? or any other recommend?
Any comment or suggestion would be great appreciated, thanks in advance.

]]>Hello Ipstenu,
First of all we want to thank you for your great plugin, it’s really helpful!
We tried to translate it for our sites, but did not succeed. We normally use Loco Translate, but id didn’t work. We also try to modify the default.po, but it didn’t work. We tried several things but didn’t have luck. We have also searched the web, but again, no luck. We are sure that is something that we stupidly miss and we would be grateful if you could give us some pointers on how to make multiple translations to work.
Cheers,

Hello,
I use Profile Builder plugin because I need to have custom fields durinr registration process.
Does Join my Multisite compatible with this plugin?
Hi,
I found a possible security issue that is causing critical errors on my MultiSite.
If I as a “Super Admin” user, open in different web windows different sub-sites main pages (Site A, Site B and Site C) and try to “switch to” a “user1” of “Site D“, while I navigate as “user1” nothing happens (everything is ok). BTW I use the “User Switching” plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-switching/ (Network activated).
But if during that process (before switching back) I just click on any of the “Site A, B or C” windows, the system automatically creates the same “user1” into those Sites. So finally I have the same “user1” created on all those Sites.
Maybe you know why this is happening?
Thank you very much.
]]>Can anyone recommend a captcha plugin that works with this plugin? The one I tried said it worked with multisite installs, but didn’t work with this plugin.
Thanks
]]>I love this plugin so far, but there’s one relatively small but irritating thing that needs fixing; when the user who registered for a sub blog clicks to confirm the account, they get the message “Your account has been activated. You may now log in to the site using your chosen username of “testingagainnow”. Please check your email inbox at XXXXX for your password and login instructions. If you do not receive an email, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still do not receive an email within an hour, you can reset your password.”
The “login” and “reset your password” links direct back to the main site (and for some reason my sidebar login form disappears from that page, don’t know why). I’d prefer the links not there at all if they cannot be made to point to the blog the user registered for.
Cheers,
Jen
