I’ve encountered an issue with the “quick apply” button on the job board, which presents two specific problems:

1. The “quick apply” button isn’t functioning for logged-out users, and it’s displaying a jQuery error. Please refer to the screenshot provided here: jQuery Error Screenshot.
2. Upon clicking the “quick apply” button, only one form field is displayed instead of all the required fields. You can see the issue illustrated in the screenshot linked here: Form Field Display Issue Screenshot. The expected form fields are outlined here: Expected Form Fields.

To mitigate this issue and enhance user experience, we’ve temporarily hidden the “quick apply” button using CSS:

#quick-apply-btn {
    display: none;
}

You can reproduce the issue by unchecking this CSS rule from the inspect element feature.

I noticed that jQuery Migrate 3.4.0 is being used while the newest version is 3.4.1.

Hi, just posting this here, installed the latest version yesterday. With the install the image slide on main page and shadowbox for photos stopped working. I had to revert back to 3.6.1 and all is fine. Is there something I did wrong or will there be a fix? TIA!

Great plugin!

For version 3.4.1 (and older), jQuery Migrate gets loaded on my site in addition to jQuery. That’s perfect.

For version 3.4.1.1 (and newer), jQuery Migrate doesn’t get called when my website loads. To fix the issue, I uploaded jquery-migrate-3.3.2.min.js to my website and call it as a script in footer.php

Is this normal? Or should the plugin be including jQuery Migrate for versions newer than 3.4.1?

If jQuery Migrate should be included, any suggestions on how to debug the issue on my website?

Hi there,
This morning I installed the latest version of jQuery Updater (3.6.0) on a local environment and I noticed that there is a missing component. The page jquery-updater.php has a reference to jquery-migrate-3.3.2.min.js (line 42).

However, the ‘js’ subfolder only contains the non-minimized version of jQuery Migrate (jquery-migrate-3.3.2.js).

So, when the update is installed on my WordPress website, it returns a 404 error. I had to manually add jquery-migrate-3.3.2.min.js to the ‘js’ subfolder.

Please advise.

I am gett an error stating jquery is undefined. I was told that its because jquery is loading after Google analytics and to make jquery update higher priority but theres no settings. Is there anyway I can fix this or can I just not use this plugin? Thank you very much

Issue:
When jQuery Updater v3.5.1.2 enabled, anchor links within pages fail. When an anchor link is clicked, the page is scrolled to the top, not the relevant anchor tag.

After disabling all other plugins and theme customisations, I narrowed this problem to the jQuery Updater plugin. Enabling or disabling this plugin causes/solves the issue.

It may well be a Divi or even a jQuery issue, but I thought I’d point it out here in case there is a solution.

I have such an issue while using jQuery updater plugin:
I can not use plus/minus buttons to setup quantity on the Woocommerce cart page.
There is no error in dev. console.
When I deactivate the plugin it starts working again.

(Woocommerce v. 4.3.1, JQuery update v.3.5.1.2, WP 5.4.2)

It’s just that after installing the plugin on our dev environment, when we check for jQuery version it still shows up as 3.4.1 (on console type in $().jquery)

Thankyou for the work developing the plugin. Nice simple solution. I also like that if there is a serious problem then uninstalling puts the site back the way it was.

Hi Ramoonus, thanks for your amazing jQuery updater plugin. Here’s the issue I’m having: when I access the page while logged in to my wordpress site account, the plugin works fine. But when I access the site while not logged in, I get a ‘$ is not defined’ error on the browser console (jquery is not updated).
My jQuery code runs in the header, and looking at the page source I see that the plugin loads on the header while logged in (works fine), but when not logged it loads on the footer, which must be causing the problem.
Is there any way I can fix this?

Is it possible to upgrade jquery 1.12.4 to jQuery 3.5.1? Or is it necessary to do it progressively? Do I have to update each version until I get to the latest jQuery 3.5.1? Or do I just update it to the latest version and is it? Also what happens if the website breaks?

I was running lighthouse tests and noticed 2 failing jQuery vulnerabilities for version 1.12.4.

I came across this plugin and installed it, then re-ran the tests. I now get 5 failing?

After installation of plugin all in webpage code seems to be ok. I tried to change it via FTP, but it is automatically replaced. How it is possible? I have flushed all cache (I think so). What to do?

I installed the plugin and opened the jQuery Updater Options page. I can see that “jQuery Migrate is enabled. I can use any of the checkboxes in the options, but it is not possible to save anything. The “Save” button is just not clickable, nothing is saving. Why?

Seems to be a jquery migrate issue? Seeing this in page builders. Maybe an option to not load the jquery updated version on a specific regex path? would be very helpful as well.

I guess the plugin support page has not been updated but a new version of the plugin has been released and was in my plugin updates. I can confirm that Version 3.5.1.1 fixes the problems for me. Just putting it out here just in case someone is still looking for answers. Cheers.

Hi there. I updated the plugin as I always do. Today the update from 3.5 to 3.51 is showing as render blocking. I use AO to aggregate/minify, etc but today’s update isn’t doing me any favors. Is there a way to roll back or is there any reason why this update over any others has apparently changed how things are handled? Thanks.

so before installing this plugin, my menu didn’t work (dropdown menu, nothing happens if you click on it), but after using your plugin it worked. Now, after the latest update, stopped working again. what changed?

I installed the jQuery Updater plugin to update my website jQuery version from 1.12.4 to jQuery version 3.5.
All other options was good, except the small menu below my main menu was gone and also my elementor page builder gave a debug error. What should be done for this
