Are there any plans to update it in the near future?

I’m using pure CSS to float the field labels over the input fields (like placeholders) like explained here: https://css-tricks.com/float-labels-css/

Unfortunately with your plug-in, it breaks the intended CSS behavior. As expected, when the field gains focus, the label moves above the field. When blurred, the label returns, but your inserted label also is shown above the field overlapping the original label. When the field is focused again, your label moves above the field, but the original label remains floating over the field and never goes away.

I’m considering buying the Pro version for unlimited sites, but this issue needs a solution for me to use the plug-in. Also, when using the phone validation field, it would be nice to us a mask like I’m using with an additional plug-in. I prefer (###) ###-#### for US phone numbers, not ###-###-#### or #########. It looks like all those formats validate when using actual numbers.

Checkbox groups validation message link does not contain the proper ID to its focus example “error: foodNames[] field is required” all links that are generated by the plugin have https://sitedomain.com/pagename/#idoffield but on checkbox the link only comes up as https://sitedomain.com/pagename/# this is with the light version, looking into getting the pro version.

Pre sales question can I add specific message per each field like my custom message to every single field independently?

Hi, I’m already using your PRO version. Your plugin does a lot of great stuff. But the validation runs after focus is out. Don’t you think about realtime validation of inputs, i.e. on keyup event etc.?

When form is inside fancybox and invalid, click on submit button cause scrolling body’s content rather than form’s content to invalid field.

I’m looking to create a form where users input a specific six-digit number they have previously been sent. There are about 30 of these numbers in total and I need to ensure users are forced to type in their number, and not be able to see the other numbers. If the number doesn’t validate the form can’t be submitted.

I tried the free version of “JQuery Validation for CF” to validate IBAN fields. It works, which is good.

However, I noticed that some JavaScript in this plugin overrules all the default CF7 error messages and I read on the plugin page that you have to buy the pro version of “JQuery Validaton for CF7” to customize these messages.

So, I guess the free version ��JQuery Validation for CF7�� in fact deliberately disables the option in ��Contact Form 7�� to change error messages, unless you buy the pro version of “JQuery Validaton for CF7”.

Is that true?

Has there been any issues with compatibility with CF7 update 5.4? This update to CF7 changed a lot of things under the hood and it broke compatibility with other plugins that use CF7 so just wanted to confirm

Just activated your plugin and love it.

The only issue I noticed is when there’s a ” + ” in an email field, it doesn’t work.

This has become very commonly used – is there any way to allow this?

On the same topic, is there a document that shows what’s considered invalid?

when I click on the submit button without filling the form the page will be scrolled up or down.
but when I deactivate this plugin I didn’t face any issue like this

estoy intentando usar este plugin para complementarlo a contact form 7, necesito validar IBAN, ya que el plugin incluye esta validacion. Pero no encuentro el campo para usarlo, solo encuentro la validacion de la tarjeta de credico, la validacion del IBAN o de la cuenta corriente del banco NO FUNCIONA.

, It’s validating forms perfectly but when I submit form, I’m receiving emails twice. How do I overcome this? somebody please help.

It is super useful to have the CSS and JavaScript files loaded with a ?ver=1.2.3 query parameter:

– /wp-content/plugins/jquery-validation-for-contact-form-7/css/jvcf7_validate.css?ver=1.2.3
instead of
– /wp-content/plugins/jquery-validation-for-contact-form-7/css/jvcf7_validate.css

This allows for some good caching to be applied to all files with a ?ver parameter. Once the plugin is updated, the version is increased and all old caches are invalidated.

This works by using the wp_register_style PHP function and providing a version.

I would like to use thus plugin for a draw I’m organizing. I would like visitors to enter a custom code then have the cf7 check if the code is valid (among the given list of codes) and then if the code has already been entered/submitted or not. Is this doable with the pro version of the plugin?

Hallo, the latest version of this plugin (Jquery Validation For Contact Form 7 v3.3) is not compatible with the latest version of the plugin Contact Form 7 v4.8.

With version Contact Form 7 v4.7 , works great and without any problems.

Generally the problem is because it cannot send mail.
