This plugin does a great job of integrating JSON data with WordPress. It does require some coding knowledge, though it saves a ton of time with pulling in data. The support is also fast and reliable. The pro version is even more powerful with ability to set custom post type and custom field data!

I haven’t had the need to purchase the paid version of this plugin, as the free version here on www.ads-software.com does everything I need. I’ve used it for 1/2 dozen products, and in only one case did I have to add any custom code (to parse the JSON text provided by a custom API).
When I reached out to the author Bernhard with a question on two separate occasions, he replied with a solution within 24 hours. I’m so happy with this plugin I made a donation (you should too!).
The plugin is incredibly simple, but powerful. I highly recommend it if you need to connect your WP site to JSON feed from an API. You can’t go wrong.

Yes, you need to devote some time to learning how to use the plugin but then it opens a whole new world of possibilities for many website owners. Bernhard is very helpful.
And as far as I know, there is no alternative plugin with the same functionality. The only alternative would be working directly with APIs. “Highly recommended” is the least I can say.

The Plugin has great documentation and offers you a good example to understand it’s way to work.
